Went there for the first time. Service were nice there and the doughnuts were hot and fresh. They made it hot after we order. Love the shop and hope to visit soon again.

This Shipleys is always fast at providing you with your order and accurately. Staff is friendly and the inside seating is such a nice look, extremely clean and great music plays over rthe speakers. This location offers several types of awesome coffee selections from your regular hit cup, to frappes and including iced beverages like my caramel mocha I ordered, in my picture. But if you aren't feeling like something sweet, you can stop in morning, noon or night and have yourself a kolache! They also have an outdoor seating area so weather permitting, it's a must!

*Revision - So this morning, I wrote a review after my experience here. This afternoon Mike, the store owner, called me to offer his sincerest apologies for my dissatisfaction. I understood it was probably a misunderstanding and why I was frustrated. He is a great listener and wanted the feedback in order to make his store even greater. I respect owners/leaders who show that they are receptive and welcome growth in their organization. I will give them another shot. He assured me the problem was fixed so I will go and get a delicious glazed donut later this week and so should you. Everyone makes mistakes and I am retracting my review. Typical expectations of the food and atmosphere. What I didn't like is that 2 of the staff members did not want to serve I assume because of the way I was dressed but the third younger female employee stepped in and helped me. I do appreciate her.

Thanks to the recommendation of my cousin from Louisiana, she advised this was the BEST place to get beignets outside of Louisiana (or maybe even better than!)!
So I had to check it out…
While there was an unfortunate delivery issue - no fault to the store themselves, thankfully the store manager helped rectify the situation.
I am extremely grateful to this location’s manager for helping me out, as who knows when I will have an opportunity to try these again, let alone be in Houston.
Their beignets did not disappoint, especially since the manager made sure I had fresh ones (& fresh coffee) when I arrived!
I recommended to anyone that this place is a MUST for the beignets AND Note, not all Shipley locations offer beignets.
While they traditionally have icing sugar on top, we chose the cinnamon / sugar mix option instead (LOVE this version).
If I’m ever back in this city, I’ll be sure to make a b-line to one of their locations for another fix of their beignets (& coffee). I regret not buying a baseball cap… Lol

Donuts are always fresh. I live close and walked to the location. I placed an order, and when I got home, I was missing a dozen donut holes. I called and spoke with someone, and they were apologetic and kind and advised I could come back with a receipt to get. Due to me walking, I returned 2 days later and on a different shift. Although that person did not remember nor have note of me coming, I explained that the gentleman provided what was missing. This act of customer service in handling the error was exemplary. Shipley's will continue to have my business!

One of the best ones in Houston. Largest variety I've seen including beignets. Friendly service. Super clean. Very fast. This is the one I'll go to if I lived closer.

Every single time I go there my beignets are hot and fresh.. I'm from New Orleans and it reminds me of Cafe Du Monde!! I get all excited when I smell them.. lol.. they are a lot bigger her in Houston but the are delicious! Thanks Baby for making me fill like I'm home!

Was craving beignets. Went to the Westheimer location and ordered the full order (4pcs) which is $6-$7. You can also order half which is $4. The beignets were hot and very large, should have ordered the half one. The staff was friendly and they served our food fast.

I’ll be honest, I found the name cool and wanted to try donuts from a different place than the usual. The donuts do look a bit sad but they don’t taste bad!
