What a cool shop for great beer, quality meals and delicious coffee drinks!!! There’s plenty of parking and the atmosphere is exciting but still pretty chill. The menu online has a ton of options and the staff is very friendly. I will be back, it’s definitely worth visiting!

This is the 3rd Slowpokes we've visited and this one's great. We picked up a hot large cappuccino with 2 splendas and an iced coffee drink and a salted chocolate chip cookie and a bag of their inhouse roast, Papa Chiapas, whole beans 'cause I like to grind my own, they have a roast date on each bag....me likey! None of their locations do a frozen blended coffee drink, could ya'll fix that please?!

It was my first time coming here and I was very impressed. The coffee is tasteful and strong. The ambiance is relaxing and welcoming. Staff is super nice as well. Would definitely come back again! Also breakfast tacos were 100/10!

Slowpokes has become a family favorite for our weekend coffee runs. The coffee? Delicious. The staff? Wonderful. The vibes? Immaculate. You won't find a better coffee shop in the GOOF neighborhoods.
I suggest getting and sipping one of their specialty lattes - the Purple Rain and the Slowpoke are personal favorites! Also check the eats - the breakfast biscuits, kolaches, tacos, and the croissants are always tasty. Be sure to douse it all in their delicious cilantro cream sauce and you're golden.
Plenty of parking and online ordering make it even more convenient to hit your caffeine quota!

I’ve been on the hunt for a simply great ice oat milk latte that isn’t too milky and just has great taste. This particular morning I didn’t expect to find it but I did. I could tell by the color of it when they handed it to me. This place is super cute with their slowpoke theme. Extra points because I absolutely love sloths. 10/10 would go again

My partner and I frequent Slowpokes Coffee Shop almost every weekend, and it has become our cherished ritual. We're absolutely in love with the place and intend to keep this tradition alive.
The Vibe: One of the biggest draws for us is the incredible vibe and ambiance of the shop. It's a place where the hustle of daily life seems to pause, allowing for a moment of tranquility with a delicious cup of coffee in hand. The staff, in general, add to this relaxed atmosphere with their friendly and welcoming demeanors.
Quality and Selection: The coffee here is consistently excellent, with a wide range of flavors and types to choose from. Whether you're a fan of classic espresso or adventurous with your latte flavors, there's something for everyone.
A Small Area for Improvement: There's only one minor aspect that we hope sees improvement. One of the team members, likely under the pressure of rush hours, tends to mix up orders occasionally. For instance, this past Sunday at 8:45 AM, I received an iced coffee instead of the hot one I ordered. While speed is appreciated, accuracy is crucial too. It's a small oversight, but we believe paying a bit more attention to order details would enhance the already great experience. I only mention because with this employee, we kind of expect some sort of mistake or coffee quality issue because it happens to frequently.
Final Thoughts: Despite this minor hiccup, our affection for Slowpokes Coffee Shop hasn't waned. The warmth and charm of this place, coupled with the quality of the coffee, make it a five-star experience for us. We look forward to many more weekend mornings here!

Popped in for Saturday morning coffee and had a very nice experience! The interior is very cozy and charming and a perfect place to sit and chat for a while. I got the honey cinnamon latte with oat milk which I was happy to see as one of their specialties on the menu as that is my go-to order. I must say, it is definitely one of the best and most well made that I have ever had! I had the ham and brie croissant and husband had the bacon/egg/cheese biscuit served with a spicy jam. Both of them were delicious and came out quickly. Loved sitting in the cozy booths and can’t wait to visit again! We dined in, but it appears there is also a walk up window along the side of the building for to go orders. They also had a nice selection of fresh pastries that I look forward to trying next time.

My kind of coffee shop. Warm, friendly, eclectic and comfy. Nice compact cafe menu as well that I’ll have to come back for lunch to try out. Their espresso beans are top notch, not too mild and a bit aromatic. Found out they serve their breakfast offerings all day...yum, and even have a few beers on tap!

So I always do homework before I visit to any restaurant or a coffee shop to avoid any inconvenience on my off day as I have very limited time but this place I can come everyday because they have very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

I gave Slowpokes another chance after having a mediocre experience yesterday. To be clear, I said nothing of my previous experience. My latte this morning was delicious and steamy. I ordered a breakfast sandwich which was hot and also delicious (I recommend the sandwich over the avocado toast). Staff was friendly as usual and I'm thinking yesterday's experience was a one off. I would definitely come back next time.
Visiting from out of town and stopped based on the high reviews. I ordered a latte and avocado toast to go. The latte was freshly made, but was barely warm for some reason. I'm scared my avocado toast may have been old since it was cold and soggy. Unfortunately, I'd already left before realizing the state of the toast. I spent $18 on the two items and both were subpar. Staff was very nice and the facility was clean, but quality was not there.

My wife and I are unabashed, unashamed, and dedicated coffee-a-holics. We roast our own beans and have spent some vacation time at coffee plantations.
We know coffee - and this is excellent coffee. Pastries looked deliciousbut we didn't partake.
Stop in and give this place a chance.

Awesome place! Great customer service, great comfy vibe, music, and food is delicious! They have great coffee. I had the Mollettes, which was great. The biscuit were freshly baked and moist while the combo was on point. Outside the place there's a park with a bunch of chairs and even food trucks so its very kid friendly.

On a roadtrip a friend and I almost breezed right by the list place since it's a little tucked away, but we're glad we stopped in.
The inside atmosphere is very welcoming and it's lively, the coffee itself was great and I had to hit 5 stars because one customer was absolutely raving about the food and you could tell he was a regular.
The staff was friendly and patient (they're used to tired morning slowpokes!)
I liked the inside decorations too, and can attest that the food and pastries are worth a try

The cortado was great! Normally I'm hesitant to order the cortado when it's not on the menu, but it was made well. It was creamy, heavy bodied, chocolatey, and milder than most. It didn't have the wonderful coffee aroma, weirdly enough, but it still tasted great. The place has a kind of retro vibe, with a lot of the decor focusing on slow animals (sloths, snails, etc). The service was fast and friendly, and there was a decent amount of seating, despite being a little cramped. There are outlets at the bar and along the far wall, but you may be out of luck towards the middle and entrance. Everything was good, but nothing was particularly exceptional.

Hands down one of the best coffee shops in Houston. Small but mighty! We went on a Saturday night for a date night and the baristas (Conner) were literally the sweetest souls ever! They gave us drink recommendations asked us about our evening and even suggested so other local places to check out. Their thoughtfulness didn’t stop there. They even gave us a few baked goods to take home for our littles since we had shared we were in a date night. Like how freakin sweet!!!!
