We got the mild, Casian special flavor, 1 pound of shrimp, 2 pounds of crawfish, 1 pound of king crab, 2 corn, 2 potato, half sausage and a shrimp fried rice. Its was 2 of us and we left out of there very full. We also brought our own beer which is the best part. Also staff is extremely attentive and friendly.

Upon a recommendation from a friend we decided to give this place a try. We're from the SW side of Houston so it's a bit of a drive - about 35-40 minutes. But DAMN was it worth it. Between the 4 of us we ordered 8lbs of spicy and mild casian style crawfish, an order of snow crab, gumbo, 3 piece fish and fries, fried corn, soy glazed wings and some vietnamese coffee. Crawfish: we're all very avid crawfish eaters. I'm talking multiple times a week. Our go to spot is a place in chinatown (Cajun Kitchen), simply because we love their flavors, but Casian Crawfish knocks our regular spot out of the park. Their casian style seasoning is full of garlic buttery goodness that sticks to the crawfish. Read: wet seasoning - not dry rub. And with it drawing near to the end of crawfish seasoning they were still able to dish out HUGE crawfish. The smallest being about 4" tail to extended claw and the largest being about 6". The only complaint I had was that the crawfish shells were rather hard so you couldn't break into the huge claws with your teeth. They did, however, give you claw crackers. yes, that's how big the claws were. LOL. You have to order your corn and potatoes separately, but that's a pretty regular thing at other places so it's not a big deal. Snow crab: We got the same casian style and heat. To me the snow crab wasn't as good as the crawfish, but then again i'm more a blue crab and crawfish kind of gal. The flavor and seasoning was just as consistent as the crawfish. Fish & chips: This is probably some of the best fried fish I've ever had. The fish itself was cooked perfectly, still tender and juicy. But the star had to be the batter. Whatever they use is amazing. It was a little sweet, but still savory and crunchy. There was no oily flavor or texture like there is with a lot of fried fish at other crawfish restaurants. Fried corn: Apparently they're known for their fried corn. The owner told us that they sold out their first day. I think they must use the same batter as their fish and chips cause it was just as good. Crunchy, sweet from the corn and not over fried or oily. It reminded me a bit of the fried corn nuggets you get from the chinese buffets. Soy glazed wings: We couldn't decide on a flavor and Laura recommended this one as her favorite. I think it's become my favorite as well. It wasn't overly salty like I would have thought for a soy glaze. I actually took 3 wings home and had them the next day over rice and they were still amazing. I think I'd come back just for the wings. Vietnamese coffee: Now, if you're looking for a more potent style vietnamese coffee than this isn't what you want to order. This one is more like chocolate milk with a little coffee. It's sweeter than what you might find at a Vietnamese restaurant where it's served to you in a small metal drip filter over condensed milk. I like my coffee on the stronger side so this was passable for me, but the guys liked it. Service: the service was fantastic. Laura explained the menu to us and gave us recommendations on what were her favorites and what other customers had ordered. Throughout the entire meal she and several other workers came to check to see if we needed anything. She even gave me a bucket of ice for our beers. Yes, they are BYOB. and they even sell michelada mix if you want it. Price: They are really reasonable. Crawfish right now is $6.99/lb which is about the standard everywhere. I think all of that food for the 4 of us came out to right around $110.00 so I think we got away with a deal. Overall this is definitely the best crawfish we've had around town and we've had a lot. One of my friends who went - the weirdo that ordered the mild accidently received spicy, and he said, "I don't like spicy food, but this I would eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight snack and I'd even order it spicy on purpose." I'd have to whole heartedly agree. I only wish it was closer to my side of town so that I could go more often, but I think this place has made it to our weekly spots for crawfish. I can't wait to go back.

A friend recommended this place and said I should try it. It says a lot when you go two times in a week! (yup thats how much we enjoyed it) So far one of my favorite crawfish places. The flavor of the crawfish is a bit different but its GOOOD!!! I like that they have all the condiments in the front so you dont have to bother someone each time you need something. Even though everything is there for you to get the staff still comes around to check on you and they talk to you as if theyve known you for a long time. The customer service here is GREAT! Fried corn is a must! crawfish is a good size. We tried the banh mi the second time around and it also had a good flavor. Keep up the great job guys!

Our first time to this restaurant and did not expect much since we have already tasted great crabs in LC recently. And yes, the crabs here are comparable fresh and meaty. Among the different cooking styles offer in the menu, I would prefer the flavorful casian style crabs. Also like their delicious crispy wings and fries in the lunch special. Great atmosphere with impressive wall painting. Cashier Laura is friendly and service oriented, happy with her services. Thanks!

First crawfish of the season and we decided to give Casian another go, cause that "All-in" sauce is amazing and we can never get enough. We got the Buy 5lbs, Get 1lb free deal for crawfish and 1lb of shrimp. Added boiled corn, potatoes and fried corn on the side! Chyea!!! That fried corn though, so crispy, seasoned so well and still so amazing! Give it a try y'all and thank me later. We came around 5:30pm and it was busy but come later and it was packed, line to order and no tables! But the turnaround was pretty quick for tables.. at one point I heard them tell a customer the wait for crawfish was a bit - like 20-25 minutes! Luckily for BYOB! The crawfish today was good! Still early in the season but you have a mix of decently sized ones amongst smaller ones! Some of them came out piping hot, just like I like it and others were lukewarm! They came in 2 bags and I dumped them into a large bowl, so maybe just 2 different batches. I did have a handful that were kinda cold as well but not enough to complain about. I tried mixing them under the hot ones to even out the temp some! The sauce was amazing as always. The shrimp were huge today and was delish as well! Service was top notch today and several people came by to check on us to make sure things were good and to make sure we got everything we were waiting for in our orders! They even came to empty our shell bowl a few times! Just a few notes: they now charge $0.50 for bibs and gloves so if you have them, bring your own! And only BYOB is allowed, no outside food or drinks! I also ordered a dish for the bf at home.. the Shaking Beef with a fried egg! The beef was tender and had good flavors! Only complaint was there was lots of rice and not enough meat - ratio was a bit off! But good nonetheless. Excited crawfish season started and can't wait to be back! Especially for that fried corn and the crawfish in "all-in" sauce!

An ABSOLUTE gem in South Houston! If you're craving anything seafood or Cajun, this is where you need to be! Most crawfish joints or seafood restaurants establish themselves in pricey shopping centers and high traffic roads and will go cheap on the ingredients and sell bad tasting food. But Casian Crawfish's entire menu and selection taste like they put ALL their money into the best ingredients possible and the end product they serve is OUTSTANDING! From fried seafood, to boiled and flavored seafood, live crawfish, and even their chicken wings and Asian food items are AWESOME! Can't say enough about this place. A must go-to when you visit Houston and if you live in the city, make the drive and get here in a hurry! Thank me later!
