I visited here for the first time today and was wanting a quick snack on a budget, and very happy with the option I found! I got the chicken strip value menu item, and got broccoli with it, very delicious and fresh, both the chicken and the broccoli! The staff was very helpful to decide what to try, they really went above and beyond the norm. Thank you!

Tucked away and a GEM! I wanted some fried fish one day and this place spoke to me! Only thing is I wish I had told them to add pickle to my poboy, the gator was SUPER GOOD!!! And extremely fresh I may add! They do charge extra when u pay with a card so be prepared for the 2-3 dollar upcharge but that gator so good it’s worth it!

I picked Bayou Cajun Cafe for its reviews. The reviews were really good and so was the food.
I was unimpressed when I drove up to the strip mall and when we walked into the cafe. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman at the order counter.
I had the Bayou Combo which included perfectly fried catfish and a delicious crawfish étouffée.
I will be back!

This place is relentless in their pursuit of providing some of the best gumbo my fiancée and I have ever had. Every time we order it, it's excellent. Their Crawfish Etouffee is stellar, as is their Cajun Pasta.

Amazing seafood. Nice, large portions. Definitely worth the price. I had the shrimp poboy, and my wife had the fried shrimp plate. The spices were perfect. Great food!

The prices can be high depending on what you order, not having to tip saves money, and the food is good. They do have a value menu for $5.40 which includes: tax, drink, sandwich, and fries. Excellent price for that option. The redfish with the #3 topping is the best, but a little pricy.

When you're in a cajun mood, give this place a try. My husband had crawfish etouffee (shown) and seafood gumbo and liked it very much. I had a fried chicken sandwich and onion rings and it was also very good. Prices are reasonable, quantities are large . :)

I can't speak on anything other than the fried catfish and fries because that's all I've ever ordered. Lol. I love their catfish! Fresh and fried just the way I like it. They are always super friendly and attentive. I saw a review saying the prices weren't posted but that has never been the case since I've been eating here and I've been coming since 2019.
This is possibly the best fried catfish in the Houston area! I ask for some of the seasoning they put on the fries and add it to my catfish.

Great location! The staff is very welcoming. The food is delicious, my son loves coming here and getting the chicken strips and fries, me and my wife get the red snapper with #5 topping. Recommend to bring family and friends

Sooooo good. The fried crawfish is so lightly breaded, not greasy at all. Best I've had in a long time. We haven't been in a few months and the waitress(owner?) Remembered us, Remembered our 'usual' order, Remembered the extra sauce we request. Knew the 3rd member of our party had not been there before and welcomed him. Service is 10 out of 10, food is 10 out of 10. Try it!! Top notch!!

Stopped in with a large group (14) for lunch on a Friday. Food came out pretty quickly was definitely hot and delicious.
Repeat visit, food came out much slower for our large group this time. Still very tasty just really slow for certain people in our group. Several were completely done eating before others even got food.

Great food, reasonably priced and the lady who answers the phone and works the counter is so kind. She's patient to explain menu items and adds to the great food! My husband actually prefers this place over BB Orleans now. We love the catfish, crawfish etouffee, chicken strips and sandwich and the homemade onion rings are awesome!

Very good food. Be sure to read their green take-home menu....tells about the sauces and other items you can't get by reading the menu on the wall. We loved everything we got....Fried Fish, Fried Shrimp, Onion Rings (excellent!), fries (very good!), and the Fried Chicken Po-Boy (will ask for spicy chicken next time). We got 4 meals out of two, the servings were so generous, and the service and pricing was top notch. We WILL be going back. PS..even though all of our meal was fried, I took it home and for dinner, put in on my copper fryer and into the toaster oven for about 12 minutes. It came out great. That is what I call great original prep! Greasy or over fried food would not have come out as well.
