So freakin' good!!! Had work in the area, decided to treat myself to lunch, was not disappointed; pastrami on rye was ✨fabulous✨! Staff was very welcoming, gave recommendations as to popular menu items. Will definitely be back!

Nielsen is an authentic delicatessen institution in houston. Their game are sandwiches with home made cuts and mayo. The whole ensemble is top notch cold cuts sandwiches and sides that is heavy on the mayo. If you don't like mayo there's probably something on the menu you would like but I'm not sur

I’ve been coming here since I was 18: it’s amazing how they can make a simple turkey sandwich become something amazing, but somehow they do! Their homemade mayonnaise is delicious… they haven’t changed a thing in 70 years, and I hope they don’t!

Best deli in Houston hands down. There are only a few seats but man it's worth it. They do a lot of their own meats in house, and make their own mayo which is spectacular!

Cheesecake and sugar cookies are my goto and are yummy! They have many other goodies here as well. Cute, small mom and pop place it's a treasure around here.

Wheat, Danish Havarti, Turkey, Lettuce & Tomato with deviled egg. All with the very best homemade mayonnaise you’ve ever placed in your mouth. There’s a reason Gourmet Magazine reviewed their delicious offerings. This is not a place for “hold the ...” or dieters. Loyal customer 53 years.

They have an amazing roast beef sandwich!

I've been coming here for over a decade and I've never had a bad experience. The food has been consistent at every visit with no variation in quality. The current staff is some of the best ever and I really like the new credit card system and the ability to leave a tip using a credit card.
