My entire experience from start to finish was fabulous. This place has a great vibe.Very casual atmosphere, with great music and laid back ambiance. The bartender, David, was warm and accommodating. Made awesome recommendations for a whiskey, they have a solid offering. I had a black bean burger, which was utterly perfect.Even exceeded my expectations. It was fast as well appearing before me at the bar.Where you can sit and eat and chit chat. This is just an all around great place,to eat and drink. They have daily specials as well as events. You can tell a lot of thought goes into creative planning. If you are looking for good food in a casual atmosphere, I highly recommend you try it. They also happen to have a fairly amazing selection of local brew on tap as well.

Our experience was awesome. We loved the CFS and fried chicken with watermelon. And brunch is a must go. A big thanks to our server Rob... #GoTryLowBrowForYourself

Love this place. Get the barefoot and pregnant to drink and thank me later. For brunch I got the bayou city burrito with tater tot hash. Really good especially with the queso on top. Had to finish with another barefoot and pregnant for dessert ;)

Great food, great service, great space! This is such a sweet gem just down the street from The Menil Collection. The food was just as good as the drinks and our waiter was so fun. This is a hip spot for dining at any time of the day. Whether it's brunch, lunch, or dinner, Low Brown has a dish and a cocktail ready for you. Prices are fair ranging from about $7 - $14 for your appetizers and meal. All you have to do is pick your poison and decide to eat at one of their leather, industrial style indoor tables or outside in the shade if there's sun.

This is a pretty cool place. Wait staff super friendly & patient explaining the new menu. Had a pork - soupy thing dish. Damn good!

I had the salmon plate and a frozen mojito, both of which I was talking Into by my excellent server. I don't think I came up for air until it was gone. What an excellent entree and drink! I highly recommend checking this place out.

I've been to Lowbrow for several meals, and the TV Dinner nights are fun. The food is consistently good, and the service is consistently mediocre.

Their chicken strips are delicious! We got one order with fries and one worth mashed potatoes. I personally prefer the mashed potatoes, but my husband and kids liked the fries. It's a laid back atmosphere and the kids loved playing with the old typewriter on our table. We will definitely be back!

When I walked into this restaurant, I was welcomed in with a smile. Noticing the atmosphere, I knew I would have a great experience, only to hope that the food would match. I was just as impressed with the food as I was the service. Almost all of my menu items I picked were fresh and prepared with care. I say almost because the pecan pie was clearly old and/or microwaved. Is that enough to take a star off of this place? Absolutely not. Drinks, food, service and a live DJ for brunch were above and beyond expectation.

The service was very good, especially for it being a festival weekend. My friends and I originally planned to go to Snooze and when we saw that line wrapped around the building we decided to go to Lowbrow instead and we are sure glad we did. They have pretty decent drink prices as well. I had the fried brie and it was glorious. I highly recommend Lowbrow for a casual brunch or lunch.

Stopped by this place for Saturday brunch. The mimosas are a tad bit more than average but was decent. The space inside is great and offers spacious booths for friends. I ordered off their brunch menu and had the chicken and waffles. The waffle came in a fantastic Texas shape. One of the best waffles I've had in a long while. The chicken on the other hand was bland and not to my liking. However their ejjeh dish more than made up for the poorly seasoned chicken. It is honestly one of my favorite brunch dishes ever. The omelet was fluffy with plenty of flavor. The leeks kept the dish moist and delicious. The potatoes that came with the dish were also seasoned to perfection. All in all great food but could use more specialty cocktails and seasoning on their chicken wings. They do however service Bravado spice sauces which were amazing. I had the pineapple hot sauce and the blueberry--both are worth a try if you enjoy spicy sauces.
