A deli which serves mainly sandwiches, salads, etc. Everything is made fresh to order. There is also a chocolate counter and a small indoor market to browse around. We wanted to tried the smoked salmon latkes but they were all sold out. We will come back again and try other items on the menu.
Leibman's is a Houston institution. The food is 1st class. Get a salad, soup, or sandwich, or pick up a whole meal to take home. And don't forget dessert! Cookies, brownies, chocolates, and all sorts of other goodies. After lunch, take a few minutes to shop for gifts or interesting culinary items which you aren't likely to find in other places.
This is where I go to get a lot of my authentic South African items. Eventhough they usually have the same items, I know I can go there. I have never eaten at the deli, so not fair to comment, but it looks good, clean establishment, friendly staff and awesome international wine section. I definitely recommend them to anyone.
Always delicious! They have great fresh food. They also have fantastic hand made chocolates, and a ton of great things for gifts. I often buy some of my Christmas presents for people here.
If going for lunch, I suggest going at an off time or with a smaller group. There isn't a ton of seating especially for more than 4.
Leibman's is FINALLY open again and I was not disappointed with my food! I've been going here for the chicken pesto panini since I was in high school (over 10 years ago) and it's still the best in town! I brought my boyfriend here after I've been raving about this place for months and he enjoyed the food so much that he decided that we needed to go eat there again the next day. The new location is much more heavily focused on the bigger dining area and less on the selling of other goods. I will say that I do miss the old location with the selection of wines, extensive deli section, home goods, and international foods. However, I guess it's out with the old and in with the new; and I am so excited to finally have a piece of heart back with Leibman's open again.
I usually come to Leibman's to get South African products. Decided to try their boerie roll (a.k.a. Out of Africa) and it was truly delicious. We had just eaten breakfast so we took only one to go. Wish we had taken two because it was so good. We'll definitely be back to try their other stuff.
Nice take on the deli style. Eaten most of the sandwiches served and haven't had a single one that I did not like.
My fav is def the Ruben, gonna have to drive a few miles to find one near as good.
Also tried most of the sides and deserts as well with no complaints.
Priced a bit higher than I like for a sandwich and chips but it is way tastier than a burger and fries.
My first visit to this new location and it's impeccably put together. Smaller than the old store on Memorial, and more emphasis on the cafe side of things than the fine foods and other items, but even so, just beautiful and with a lovely range of items. Definitely worth a stop, especially for a gift or a nice bottle of wine.
We ordered a meal package for Easter (roast beef) and it was absolutely phenomenal. Every single dish was high quality and delicious! Will definitely order from them again and again and again!
Today was my first trying Leibman’s Deli. My coworkers wife heard of this place and my coworker and I decided to try it. We are glad we did I had the Triple Decker Club and it was tasty and filling. My coworker had the Out of Africa sandwich and he said it was very good.
