My favorite, spicy pork and pork cutlet ....spicy beef leek soup...good ambiance, fully packed when we dined in today... we received from employees, and management/ owner a super awesome service!
They serve very traditional Korean food jus like what I used to have in South Korea. If those are foreign cuisines to you. It’s a great opportunity to try how Korean dishes taste like. Although the restaurant name may lead you to tofu. Try other ones like spicy beef soup or bbq ribs and so on. Very nice, very Korean way!
I absolutely love this place. I come here all the time with large groups and never have any problems. The food is amazing and always comes out quickly. I highly recommend the spicy pork, bulgogi, tteokboki, pork katsu, and jjangmyeon. Also, you get a yakult at the end of the meal which is awesome.
Edit: 11/25/23 Still just as awesome, even on a black Friday we were served almost instantly.
Personally my favorite Korean restaurant in Chinatown! Been around for a long time, gives a lot of banchan (sides) and has reasonable prices. They give a small complimentary salad at the beginning and yakult at the end. Got the kimchi chi gae (kimchi stew with pork and tofu) and jjajangmyeon. The rice for the stew comes in a clay pot too so it gets crispy!
Absolutely loved this little Korean spot peppered with posters of Blackpink and BTS and run by some friendliest and nicest aunties! Their kimchi tofu soup was delightful and so was the bibim bop and bul go gi. They laid out 8-9 differently types of sides and a fresh stone pot full of fresh crispy rice and a side of fried whole fish! The food was of amazing taste and quality and very reasonably priced for the potions. The side dishes were also great quality and they refilled them for us! I can’t complain about anything. The service was fast and we came out full after a hearty meal! I’ll recommend them highly if you are out in and around Bellaire Chinatown. They send you out with a Yakult at the end of your meal! I really wanted to try the japchae and the kimchi package but I only have one stomach, so next time!
My family and I searched for an authentic Korean restaurant, and this one definitely qualifies! Really authentic and delicious food. The service could be better.
My husband and I ordered the Beef bul go gi with vegetables and a kimchi pancake. It was so much food! It was our first time there and our first time eating food presented like this. It was fun. Kelly was our waitress and she was amazing! She showed us what to do with our fried fish and our pot of rice and the bul go gi pan. We got 8 little cups of meats, veggies, and kimchi. To end the meal they gave us a probiotic drink. It was a fun experience. We will definitely be back!
All of the staff is so friendly, and most importantly the food is amazing. Short ribs, spicy pork, and small intestine tofu soup are my go to orders. Also don't forget to order the seafood pancake it is very crispy and delicious!
Variety of choices, food was delicious, sort of crowded so make sure you go at a less busy time so you can get a table.
This is definitely a five star place to eat and take a date. Food quality and quantity is great. Service was wonderful. My glass was never empty and my stomachs was full after eating half my plate. This place is an experience. They bring you the food Korean style. I highly recommend this for a fun date night dinner. They even bring you a dessert with the bill.
I highly recommend this place! I ordered the sauteed tofu with house sauce and it was really good with great quantity. Sides were tasty as well! Great service and nice and cozy atmosphere.
Favorite Korean hands Down! Best Pork BBQ of any place. Lots of delicious side dishes, my favorite being the spicy fish cake. Very traditional atmosphere. Very attentive. Fast service. Location is smack dab in the middle of don juang plaza which is a super fun location. Reasonably priced food. Salad is freely served before meal, and yogurt drinks are complimentary when paying.
