Downtown Thai restaurant, popular with the lunch crowds. Service is generally prompt. No real "must-haves" here, but the offerings are decent. Pad Ka Pow w/ chicken, Thai basil, bell pepper, string bean and carrot in a chili basil oyster sauce is good. Served at lunch w/ salad, soup and steamed jasmine rice for $11 plus tax.

Horrible food, service and environment.. Never experienced such a horrible service, food and environment before.

1. Tofu was stale and sour.
2. Asked for brown rice, came with white.
3. We asked for something and they came back with other. We asked with tofu and they came without it.
4. For one person they remade, another they said, you already mixed with rice, so will just give you on side.
5. Waiter was horrible.
6. Manager(cashier was saying she was manager, i doubt though), was the worst. Wasn't even hearing and agreeing to their mistakes.
7. Smoke from kitchen is everywhere in the seating\lunch area.

I would strongly suggest people to avoid this place. There are so many Thai restaurants better in service and treatment.

Good food and a good price. The wontons are amazing. The green curry with chicken exceeded my expectation! Restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Thai.

Great spot for lunch or dinner. The food here has been awesome each visit. I like my food extra spicy and most places just provide a condiment or add crushed red pepper. Here the chef cooked it in the sauce so it blended and balanced the flavor. Hands down my favorite go to spot for Thai cuisine.

I think the reviews are not from real customers. They post specials then tell you it is only for Lunch and want more $$$, I rate this place as decent for the only Thai restaurant downtown.

Tried the Panang Chicken this evening with spring rolls - excellent! Some of the best Thai food I've had in Houston.

Yummmm. My first time there for lunch, it was delicous. We only had 30 min so we did not get to sit down and eat we got our food to go. I had the Beef Broccoli Lovers with fried rice and my friend had the Chicken Pad Thai, both were good. The house soup had just the right amount of seasoning to it as well. my only word of caution is if your going on your lunch break take an early lunch it fill up quick.

Went there for lunch today & it was really good. I had the Massaman Curry (chicken), it was my first time trying curry. The place was cool & the people that worked there were really nice too.. good price range.. I will definitely be returning.

Simple and Authentic. Bangkok Chef reminded me of the place that I visit every time I am in Bangkok. The service was prompt, the portions generous, the food well assembled and the flavors well blended.

Address should note that the BUILDING address is 914 Main but the actual restaurant faces Travis Street at Walker. Would make it easier to find.

The food arrived very quickly (and was really good) and the staff was very nice. They made a big deal over the kids, which always rates high with me. The serving sizes were very generous but my kids ate all the Lomein, argued over who got the last of the vegitables, and then ate part of my food. Next time we go (and we do plan to go back), we’re going to have to order two noddle dishes for the kids.
