The restaurant is the epitome of diner food. Like a Denny's on steroids. I wanted to try everything on the vast menu but landed on the special of the day which was a country fried chicken steak with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a roll. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and the flavor was there. The green beans were basic- I added salt and pepper. My dad ordered the pork stuffing with corn and fries, which he also enjoyed. Overall the food was homey and flavorful, the staff was were attentive, but the establishment could use some deeper cleaning to get 5 stars.
This place is amazing. I would like to say it's a hidden gem, but this place is always packed to the brim!!! It does not matter what time you get here their will be a small wait.
Portions are huge and well priced.
The service is the BEST!!! Everyone here treats you so well. They make you feel at home and they are extremely helpful with ordering food.
My favorites have been the Chicken fried chicken, waffle, and biscuits with sausage and gravy.
I had never been to this place and I will tell u the waffle was delicious. I like the fact that is not soggy, instead it has a crunch to it. Must try!!! And it comes with eggs to order & bacon or sausage. Others in our table ordered pancakes & chicken, biscuits and gravy and it was delicious!! We went on a Monday and it was packed so be a little patient.
Been coming here since 2005. Giant portions and great service. The prices have always been cheap. I like the chicken fried chicken. You get 2 chicken fried chickens, mashed potatoes, veggie of the day, and 2 rolls or cornbread. All that for $12.
If haven't been best food ever I left like a.tic.on a deer portion was plenty waitresses Alma, dng forgot anyway she was great also heard day weekend are very crowded but worth it I'll will b back where have I heard dat b4.
Brunch was good.
This is one of the best waffles I’ve had and the chicken fried chicken was good too. I also got a regular coffee but they didn’t have French vanilla so that was a bummer.
My husband got a bacon cheese burger with fries and it was ok too.
Customer service was also good and we were served pretty fast.
The prices are a bit high imo,
in total my husband and I paid around $46 plus tip just for us two.
Hands down the best breakfast spot in Houston. I’ve been going here for over 20 years with family and friends. The food is always on point!! Great food and service. And it never breaks the bank.
This is a classic working-man diner. Do not expect any of the undeserved pretentiousness of a place that serves multiple types of avocado toast. This is where you go for standard breakfast fare in large quantity at a great price. Well made eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon and the expected sides served quickly with a coffee (not espresso) and orange juice. It was great.

Just good Ole breakfast. Their waffles is the best hands down. I don't know what they put in it but it's just good. I could come here and just eat waffles.
