Had Korean taco ,original taco, tempura chimichanga, and fish tacos. Ohh my gosh!!! This food is just AMAZING! Small place with quiet patio seating (dog friendly too!). Happy hour specials. I gotta tell you though you've GOT to try these tacos if you find yourself hungry in downtown Houston.

Although this location is old and tiny, it is the original location that's been here for over half a century and has the most charm. Staff works hard and is professional and friendly. Clean bar, bathrooms and chips & salsa counter (which is serve yourself). Decor is due for some seasonal cleaning. Tacos, drinks and chimichangas are the best. Will be back for happy hr.

I finally had a chance to eat at the original Berryhill location and I absolutely loved it... phenomenal service, atmosphere was freaking amazing and the food was on point... they even did things that my normal Berryhill location didn't do... like wrap my Tamales with 3 corn husk instead of one to keep them fresh and moist for easy reheating. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK SOON.

Very small inside, however big outside patio and dog friendly. That's a huge plus for me. We went for the fish taco special on Mondays. The fish tacos are huge so start small!! They were yummy!

This is the original, the start of this GREAT RESTAURANT! I have been all over Houston and this place is the ONLY ONE that can make Spinach Enchiladas so delicious. The cheese and sauce works perfect with the spinach. They are already famous for their Fish Tacos. I thought I had pictures to share. So I guess I will have to go back. It's a VERY LITTLE restaurant and has outdoor seating. This is a MUST GO TO EXPERIENCE their greatness.

Always the best fish tacos. I go out of my way to go to one of the Berryhill locations whenever I am in the Houston area. I used to go to the Austin location before a franchisee bought it and then subsequently closed down a year or so later. I love their fish tacos!!!

Fish Tacos are the BEST!! The staff is always friendly! Left 4 stars because this last time I went my tortillas were served a little cold. But no big deal as the service and taste of the food never fails.

What a surprise to learn that this is the original Berryhill location! Fish tacos, grilled and original, were absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and the service was impeccable. It's impossible to beat Berryhill's salsa which is full of fresh vegetables.

Friendly staff and clientele. Small bar atmosphere with a few tables inside and also outdoor seating. Love the breakfast tacos served all day. Also, the original fish tacos with black beans and rice is a favorite.

I've been eating at Berryhill for years. My mom told me how her dad would wait on Sunday morning for Mr. Berryhill to go by with his tamale cart, so this is a Houston institution.
Their fish tacos are outstanding. Their tamales are quite good too, I really like the Spinach and Corn tamales. It's serve yourself chips and salsa, so no waiting for a distracted waiter to notice that you're out. They have a great creamy habanero sauce, and amazing pickled carrots. You can order less than $10 work of food, fill up on that and the chips and carrots, and leave completely full. Even their machine margaritas pack a decent kick. This location is a bit small, but I'll look forward to being there soon.

This Berryhill has the best 🐠 fish taco in Houston. It's on sale on Monday for $2.25. The original fish taco is the best, it's fried with a light crispy batter. Ask for salsa with it.
I don't recommend the tamales.

5 star to 4 star. not sure if pandemic related but my to go order today was the smallest fish tacos i ever had at any berryhill store. service was friendly. all 6 tacos were tiny amount of fish. be back after the pandemic..
(2019?) I love this location and the one at the Galleria. The original (fried - battered and crispy) fish tacos are SOOOOO good. Also shredded cabbage, "special sauce", and cilantro. I will take a picture next time. Queso is yummy. I like to dip fries in it. Weird? Or delicious? Haha. I always forget to ask for it to go but they have this amazing green salsa I like to put on my tacos when I visit the Galleria restaurant. I always get to go at Revere because I know people who live nearby. I always smile and mmmmm when I eat these fish tacos. Maybe a little happy dance too. Bartenders at Revere are always nice and chill when picking up food. Tip your bartenders!! Cool spot. :)
