El Paraiso Mexican Restaurant - Houston - Photo album

Was recently in the neighborhood and decided to pop in and grab a (very) late lunch/early dinner and was very pleasantly surprised by this little gem! First of all, the inside was very neat and clean - well organized and bright and happy. The service was excellent - prompt, friendly, and helpful.
I'm working on a remodel project in the are and needed some lunch. Found this place and saw the ratings were good. I stopped and had tacos all carbon, they were delicious. My colleague had a shrimp taco and chicken taquetos. Man the service and food was really good we came back the next day for lun
I live down the street and love, love, loveeeee El Paraiso. The owners are super sweet. Inside is clean, no sticky tables or floors, and no weird smells. šŸŒ® Breakfast is served all day! Great barbacoa and I love their flour tortillas. Definitely homemade with love! If you get breakfast tacos to go,
What a great find! Delicious place to get Mexican food. They even have Mexican Sopes which I have been struggling to find a place that has them! We will definitely be back here. The morning coffee is a great way to kick off Sunday morning.
Quaint little Mexican place that has been around since 1978 and moved from the Montrose area. Good food for a good price.
Tex Mex in Montose. No lunch specials but everything is fast and reasonable. Reasonable price apprx $10 and they subed in a little salad in place of rice. Entomatatos are great ( beef, chicken or white cheese {my choice}). Hadn't had them since Felix's on Westheimer closed, just a few blocks away.
2.15.23 It was so good, we came back. Live just down the street. Probably the best cheese enchilada I've had in 20 yrs. Just perfect, with the chili gravy and homemade rice. You can't beat it!!!! guacamole is out-of-this-world as well. First time here. Reasonably priced. Beans and rice are great. c
Excellent as always. The food is just as good as it was at their previous location on Fairview.
Tried this place today since our normal Mexican breakfast place is closed Sundays. YUM. Two tacos + hot coffee done right. Love the fresh tomato salsa. Super tasty and a perfect addition to the breakfast tacos. Not sure why another review said it was so spicy? Didnā€™t strike me as anything but yummy
This is one of the most authentic Mexican food restaurants in Houston. The staff is amazing and again the food is crazy good.
We ordered sopes, tacos al carbon, and gorditas. All very good. Customer service was great - very attentive. We were the only ones we first arrived, so we were skeptical - but soon after the place got full. Everyone was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Hope to be able to able to go
They have authentic enchiladas mexicanas. I used to go to their montrose location for them. Then they moved here. The enchiladas donā€™t have that gravy or typical Tex med sauce. Itā€™s chiles fried in oil sauce. Very good and unique.
Excellent chicken enchiladas! Every dish I've tried has been above par and extremely fresh. The only complaint is the salsa. Although fresh and very flavorful, the heat level is like a volcano. I can barely take one bite because it's so spicy. They need to cut the number of jalapenos they are using
Just drive by the place down the street and go HERE! It is delicious and you'll leave full and happy!
Great hot sauce & chips & Iā€™ve never been disappointed in any dish Ive ordered. Pictured here is mole poblano! Outstanding!
I love that they have an avocado option instead of meat for tacos and other items. They have a good selection of delicious Mexican food for everyone. I'm vegetarian, so I love my avocado tacos from here with a big glass of ice cold tea...or beer šŸ˜
Finally found a good Mexican restaurant with excellent homemade chips, salsa & flour tortillas. I recommend the chicken mole, de pechuga plate with delicious rice & beams. Server was also courteous & helpful. I'll be returning
