Mama's Oven - Houston - Photo album

Food taste great, I had meat loaf, green beans, Mac & cheese & some yams... Came with corn bread... I don't like that she doesn't have containers for sides I don't want my stuff in a bowl with plastic over it. Everything had a taste but nothing screamed I have to visit this place again... and that'
This was my first time visiting Mama's Oven. I ordered the oxtails, rice, green beans, and yams. Everything was good, no complaints there. However, the wait time was too long for my liking. Waited about an hour! There was only one person working.
If you want good Southern food you can go there and it's very good and delicious. It will take a long time, but it's worth the weight.
Mama’s Oven: Southern Style Cooking offers a tantalizing array of Southern comfort food. The fried ribs, accompanied by Mac and cheese and yams, were delightful, served in generous portions that were both hot and fresh. However, the wait time proved a challenge, despite the nearly empty restaurant.
Wow this was the best chicken fried steak I have ever had! The gravey, mashed potatoes and green beans were crazy good! There was so much food for a really good price.
This is a old neighborhood place. Only three people working the joint. It took like 45 minutes to get our food. But, it was worth the wait. I don't mind supporting small business owners.

This little place was recommended to us for oxtail by a young lady in the V.A. We were greeted and our order taken right away. The food took 15 or 20 minutes to come out and it was outstanding. My smothered pork chops were fork tender, the gravy had a little kick, the rice was cooked well, and the y

Food is always great. Wait times vary on what you order. This time I had the meatloaf with mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. Oh and of course can’t forget about that corn bread omg ❤️. Everything was amazing, the only thing was the mac & cheese was a tad bit over salted but other wise great meal. De
