Molina's Cantina

They must have a new chef because I've eaten here for years and it's always serviceable Mexican food with great chips and pralines! But ate here Saturday and it was a splendid experience, had chicken tornados as did my dining guest (she had ground beef) and they were both excellent with plenty of meat and sour cream. They have beefed up their salsas, now three and 2 were actually spicy hot. Definitely recommend coming here or trying again if you haven't been a while. Our waiter did go MIA but a couple of other people filled in and I got my check. Still have great pralines too!

We have enjoyed Molina’s for over 40-years - this was my husband’s first Mexican food, when he moved to Houston (from IL) in 1974. We needed to cater a function (a thank you treat) for a group of 10. We contacted their catering department & Jessica was our point-of-contact. Since we wanted to pick up from the Bellaire location…she coordinated everything. She was amazing AND the food/service was wonderful. Our group was overwhelmed - they had never had Molina’s before, but they said they will be dining there going forward. The portions were large enough that several were able to take home some. Thank Molina’s Bellaire &&& Jessica for making us the hit of the ‘party’! If you need catering - this is a great option!!

Grew up going to the older location off Buffalo speedway…so happy they were able to relocate in Bellaire. Always consistently good! When I’m not with the family I really love the separate bar area. Mario and the rest of the bar crew always take good care of you. Plus there’s always great regulars to catch up with!

The food was alright, and the atmosphere was fine I guess, the real star of the show was our waiter, Gray. He was fantastic and ensured all of my wife’s boyfriend needs were not only met, but exceeded to a level I did not know possible. His kindness radiated through my heart and I could tell gray was a shining star built for the stressful and tiring industry that is Tex-Mex food services. I did not know a man could be so charming yet professional, kind yet diligent, caring yet committed. His aura single handedly illuminates the entire restaurant, bringing joy to everyone’s heart. In fact, I saw a young family all break down in tears as a result of his impeccable service. 11/10, would come here again, be sure to request Gray as your waiter.

The food is delicious!!!! The server was really nice, but never refilled all of our drinks. We didn't even get silverware right away. We asked another server walking by for them and he just smoked and walked away and didn't even help us either. Despite that, the food was so good and the portions were huge!!!
