I enjoy coming to Villa Arcos for the best breakfast tacos!! I was introduced to Villa Arcos by my stepdad & I’m I was. I enjoy visiting them for their breakfast tacos, it’s my favorite item from their menu. Their previous menu did have more items to choose from but I’m content with the new menu items available. If anything, I’m glad they reopened as I thought they were permanently closed. They do have vegetarian options for those in need. They have both inside and outside seating. On weekends it can get hectic and you might have to wait but it’s worth the wait. They cook most of their tacos from scratch in a cast iron pan, you literally can hear the stainless steel spatula steering all of the ingredients together, be patient. You pair the tacos with the green and red salsa, I add both, smh but I can’t help it. Sometimes the green salsa is spicier but both salsa’s enhance the flavor of the tacos. They also created a rewards program for their members which you can redeem with them. Give them a try, they’ve been around for decades!!!

Grew up in the neighborhood behind Villa Arcos, so I have been coming here since I was a kid. The tacos are still good, however you can tell they aren’t using the original recipes. The tortillas are not the same as before, these are more similar to Taco Cabana Tortillas. Liked the food but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to come again.

Breakfast tacos are the best in town. Service is good just order at the counter or call in your order. Atmosphere is small place so may or may not have seating.

They are back! The best breakfast tacos are back at Villa Arcos—one of Houston’s iconic East End institutions! I can’t find the words to express how much I missed the unique taste of the Chorizo Super, a delightful combo of chorizo, huevo, papas con frijoles topped con queso amarillo rolled on a scrumptious flour tortilla. Family member had the bacon and egg taco (full disclosure they have other favorites😉)!
I’m going to address those who’ve posted that the food no longer tastes the same. Of course it doesn’t! Palates change and cooks interpret favorites in their own style. But what hasn’t changed at Villa Arcos is the essence of deliciousness when one takes that first bite into a favorite taco! It only took two bites to transport me to food memory lane. Because after all, isn’t food all about sharing with those we love? I reminisced about friends no longer by my side who enjoyed food and conversation with me at this amazing “hole in the Houston world!”
I’ll share a secret - they’re now open Mondays! We were first in line before noon and didn’t experience a long wait but they were steadily busy.
Bienvenidos! Keep those tacos coming!

This place is absolutely amazing! The prices are still good and the tacos are overflowing with greatness. My only wish is that they had puffy tacos. The carne guisada and barbacoa is delicious. Great people here.

Back after three years closing and it’s still just as good. I love the super tacos here. The bacon is unparalleled and the chicharron is so flavorful. Thanks for coming back we’re so happy

This is by far my very best favorite place to have real tacos. I’ve been going here since I was a teenager now I’m 43 “you figure” I had the honor of meeting señora Yolanda Black Navarro (always had a smile and happy to help) we all missed her/Christian RIP.

This is a hole in the wall, as they say. Be warned the tacos are HUGE!!! The fillings are true to TexMex recipes mom cooked. The place is small, so it's hard to find sitting when they are busy. Honestly I don't care if the family has to sit in the car and eat, the food is that good. They serve these tacos they call "super" tacos, which are filled with multiple yummy fillings. I think for most folks, one taco is enough. As for me, I buy 2, one for now and one for later.

Went to Villa Argos this morning for breakfast. Had a few different breakfast tacos w my family. Tortillas are homemade, which are excellent. The red sauce was really good. Had the hamburger meat and potato tacos, which were excellent. There was a line, but it moved pretty quickly. Earlier you get there, the better. Not a lot of place to sit indoors, but there are several tables outside. Overall, very good breakfast tacos.

Food is way over hyped and overpriced and the service was very shoddy. I don't know how this place has such a great rating but maybe once upon a time this place was great but now it isn't. Go down the street to Doña Maria for better service, atmosphere and food. clearly the ownership is complacent and is riding on their past accomplishments rather than striving for continuing excellence.

Only 5 Star for me...we drive from far away to enjoy the tacos..best ever!!! If you haven’t tried..it’s a must! We’ve been going there for years, back when Yolanda was in charge...she must be so proud of her family ❤️

Top score from me. In all my years as a patron they have never let me down. I'm loyal to them for breakfast tacos!! My 60 mile round trip drive to get their tacos is worth it every time! Bacon Super is my favorite.
