THE NEXT LEVEL!!!! Alberto and Ester have converted authentic Mexican food into modern chef prepared cuisine. In this modern style "order at the counter" place, we ordered their rajas con queso burrito, but with a twist. They were happy to prepare it vegan style. The meal presentation was classy, but simple. Each bite was an explosion of classic Mexican flavored wonderfulness. The traditional mix of vegetables, peppers, and salsa wrapped in the perfectly toasted flour tortillas was exceptionally prepared. The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful . We enjoyed all this upscale treatment and meal in a fresh, clean, modern, and comfortable restaurant environment. All this for about $13 a person. UNBELIEVABLE !!! :) similar places have cost me double! Treat yourself to Luna y Sol! Oh- they also cater their cuisine.

This place is AWESOME! It's like fast food gourmet mexican. We paid about 8 for our burritos and we were very full. We had the "rajas con queso" burrito. We are vegan so they customized our burritos and they turned out so good. This fresh taste can't be made without the best ingredients! Loved it.

This place is fantastic! Ana is the sweetest and made us feel like we were part of the family. Absolutely authentic Mexican food- couldn't have done it better myself. We wanted to try everything, we got street tacos, enchiladas, chilaquiles and barnacles taco- all perfect. We will most definitely be back when we're in Houston (hell, I'd even drive to Houston just to to eat here!)

Somewhere in midtown is Luna y sol. A good combination of trendy and authentic Mexican flavors. The young lady taking orders was super friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely listen to her suggestions. I listened and tried the barbacoa taco. I'm so glad I listened.Flavorful and not fatty at all. I wanted a combination plate to try the taco and enchiladas. I ordered the Mesa plate which includes both. I ordered the salsa verde enchiladas and the were good. We ordered the chilaquiles divorciados from the breakfast menu. These were the star. It includes crispy chilaquiles in red and green sauce. The red sauce is so delicious. Almost forgot the prefectly cooked fried egg on top. Dont expect gigantic portions like in many tex-mex places. It does have wine and good margaritas. Authentic Mexican food at a moderate price
