Review Lei Low - Houston

Anton S.
Cool Tikki bar design. Cool atmosphere. Decent cocktails - basically just rum. I liked the custom mugs for cocktails. I had the Zombie this time Interesting location - pretty remote parking lot with a convenience store and a fully black wall - you wouldn’t suspect that behind the thin door is a different world. And an additional star for allowing dogs :)

First time here. omg, the best place for a tropical paradise drink and vibe. Nice get away from home right around the corner from home. Caden was the absolute best bartender I have ever had in a long time. Drinks were amazing great flavor and delicious to the lips 💋. Great place to get away 🗿🥥

Caden was splendid. Was very accurate to my drink preference and hit it on the nail. Best drinks I have had in a long time. Will return and recommend my friends. The atmosphere was chilled and welcoming. Had a 2008 shot 🥃 wow what a shot. Warms your bones...... in deed 😁😉

The cocktail menu is stocked with all the tiki bar classics prepared and presented beautifully and perfectly from the mix to the garnish. The atmosphere is a classic tiki bar with no corners cut and a new surprise around every corner. What truly makes them shine, however, is the service. Our bartender, John, truly made it a top notch experience. He was well versed in all the menu cocktails and many more unique treats, but was also attentive and thoughtful. While discussing my favorite rum with a friend, he brought it out without word needing to be said and made the experience unforgettable with his professionalism and relaxed, friendly attitude. I cannot compliment this place higher, I will be back and I will bring more friends.

Such a fun place! Delicious drinks made with real fruit and handmade syrups. No fake mixers here. Fun decor and super friendly staff, this is our favorite, local bar.

Amazing tiki bar! I'm told all their delicious drinks are made with fresh ingredients. Cool crowd of folks. Seems to be somewhat of a hidden gem. You'd never know from the outside what you were about to walk into. If you wear a Hawaiian shirt, you get discounts on an array of drinks.

Lei Low is such a great tiki bar. It’s a mix of neighborhood bar and a transport to paradise. Located next to a convenience store, looks like an unoccupied space, don’t blink or you’ll miss it. Once inside, you’re immediately greeted with traditional tiki decor and bartenders ready make your perfect tiki drink. The vibe is fun and the music is great. It’s very busy on weekend nights, traffic is directed to the back patio to wait anywhere from 30-40 minutes. Drinks can be ordered and taken to the patio. The drinks are fun, there is something for everyone. Tiki drinks are served in tiki mugs. My favorite is Barefoot in the Sand- it’s delicious if you love banana. Lei Low is definitely a must visit for tiki fans!

Love this bar! The atmosphere, decorations, and people are so fun. It's the perfect escape and an easy place for the time to slip (or sip!?) away with friends. The bartenders are super knowledgeable and friendly and the drink menu has something for everyone. If you don't see something you like they can make you something off menu too (including excellent mocktails for anyone who might not want alcohol). I've never been a big bar person but this is a place I visit regularly and really enjoy. The only downside is parking in their lot is a little limited but there is street parking in the adjacent neighborhood or you can always Uber if you want to get schwifty 😅

One of the best themed bar experiences I've ever had. They have a fun drink menu with an equally fun vibe, which is only heightened by the nice servers who make sure everyone is welcome.

#JoeFoodTour this bar is an incredible find, one of the few tiki bars with a wide array of rum cocktails for any connoisseur. You will be in the now, especially for out of town mixologists especially when they find out you're from Houston. Often times I get asked when I am in Austin and they find out from Houston, bartenders ask have you ever been to "Lei Low?" as one of the usual, secret, hidden jams, if you blink too fast, you will pass by your stop. Nestled in a small strip center, go with your guy and open the door. Definitely a fun time out. #HowdyFromHouston #ThePropertyJoes #LivingLifeInHouston #Heights #GreaterHeights 072014 202002 I had spam, kolaches and hot buttered banana rum.

Great place to go. Very unique atmosphere, but stay away from the 2-3 person fish bowl Mai Tai for $30. All ice and no drink. Big let down. I recommend the blue Hawaiian. It's the same amount of drink for almost 1/3 the price

Drinks were delicious. Cool vibe inside. Definitely felt shipwrecked with the crazy downpours outside but the low lighting and stout cocktails definitely made the day better. The "Ghost Ship" was definitely my favorite followed by "Donn's Original Zombie". Overall I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a cool bar with tasty drinks that's definitely not the normal Houston type bar.

My husband and I went on a Friday evening around 6. We had no trouble parking. I had the Mai Tai and the Space City Painkiller. They were both great! They are beautiful drinks with plenty of liquor. The ambiance was laid back with excellent music in the background. The service was also very good. I will definitely drive across town for this place. Happy Hour in from 4-7. The drinks are $6 but only the ones that have tiki heads next to them ☆

**LOVE the paper straws!!!** Look for the neon RUM sign! It looks very small and plain on the outside but walk in and see that it’s actually a very fun and interesting, funky little spot where they really take pride in what they create : ) It can be on the pricier side ($7-13 per drink and there are bowls for 2-4 people) but drinks are tasty, fun, and strong. It’s a nice, dark, different, funky, and fun little hole in the wall place with a relaxed, tropical vibe. They also have a small, but lovely outdoor seating area plus stools around the bar, a few 2-3 stool seat table tops, a handful of booths, and one big corner booth in the back. Not much food options so either eat before or plan on eating after (they do have some small snack items). It’s definitely a place to check out : ) There’s a mai tai specials night and a hour special where drinks with the tiki symbol next to it are $6 (or clams). The space city pain killer is yummy but so are many other options! **if you get a fancy tiki cup drink make sure they know you returned it to the bar so you don’t end up paying for it : )

Dope little hole in wall. Impressive selection of rum & cool cocktails. Real dark & intimate, bartender's paradise. Will be back to drink some mo'.

My first time there tonight. Absolutely loved this little hidden bar. Customer service was awesome and drinks are delicious. Highly recommend it.

Don't let the limited parking or door front fool you if this is your first time, Lei Low is awesome! The staff is amazing and the decor is spot on. Oh, and the drinks are tasty as well! My wife and I went to the Soggy Dollar Bar in the BVI and loved their pain killers so it was nice finding our own local version.

Passed by tonight for the first time... I've lived in Houston for less than a year (born and raised in Miami), and must say, this hidden gem was simply fantastic. Great vibe, great service from the bar staff... I will definitely be back!

Crazy delicious drinks, a welcoming and fun group of people manning the bar, and a vibe unlike any place in all of Texas. My favorite place to grab a drink!

Lei Low is the best bar in Houston, hands down. Would walk over hot coals for their pina colada.

First time visit during your birthday party on Sunday. Really fun, lively crowd. Great for people-watching. The drinks were pretty good too. We'll be back.

A great friend & fellow Tiki fanatic brought us here on our visit from Memphis. Staff was lovely, bar was cool, and patrons were all in a great mood. Even with my 2 young boys in tow, we were treated beautifully, a nice departure from many hip venues where you might be viewed as a fly in the ointment

Cute place ! Good drinks, great parking and even better bartenders!!! Barefoot in the sand and the secret swizzle are must haves while here !!!

I had the piña colada. It was delicious and different as it has an egg in it! There is not good parking and no sign by the entrance so you kind of have to know about it before hand. We ordered pizza and had it delivered there as it is mostly drinks. This place is small but cozy and nice just to hang out with friends.

The best tiki bar I've been to in Texas! Seriously great drinks, no cut corners and the atmosphere is so wonderful. Inspired us to put a Tiki bar in the house just to feel what we do there!

Its the best damned place in Houston. Just go. Mowbray tells jokes!
