Review Table 7 Bistro - Houston

Even though the restaurant was mostly empty, there was an air of everyone being totally frazzled. We had to ask for thing several times. The servers were very nice though, perhaps there was a rush before? My latte and crab cake Benedict were good but not phenomenal.

This is a cute restaurant. The decoration and everything else seems to be very new. The staffs were super nice and friendly. However, I believe they need to improve a lot regarding the food. I didn’t get the presentation of the food and all those sparkling parsley around the plate. Besides that, I think this place has potential.

SO GOOD. My friends and I were visiting Downtown HTX and couldn’t figure out where to eat brunch and we found Table 7! It’s super cute and a great atmosphere. After going out the night before Downtown this was the perfect meal. -Avocado Toast -Chicken and Waffles -and a Waffle and Eggs and Potatoes breakfast plate! They also were very accommodating when we asked them if they could make us a ToGo order for a friend for us to bring back after we had already ordered. Def recommend!

Came in on 4th of July morning and we had just missed the morning rush. There was only one server and she had to do it all!! Bud tables, take orders, serve, and make the drinks. Respect!! She greeted us immediately and let us seat ourselves. Within 2 minutes, she took our drink order and soon after our food order. She was awesome. Food was great! I had the chicken fried chicken with gravy and my husband had the short stack. Breakfast potatoes were outstanding. Would definitely come back.

The service was excellent, and the food was even better! We walked in and the waitress informed us of the wait time due to a big group entering before us (love the honesty). The chicken was cook to perfection with the right amount of crisp, and the sausage has a little spice to it. My tastebuds enjoyed the French toast and potatoes too! I highly recommend this place!

Great place! Saturday morning and the hotel breakfast buffet was not worth the $15 price tag, so we found Table 7 Bistro. I don't know if the full menu was available, but the breakfast plates were. Everything was delicious and the service was good.

First time stay at CG Hotel. The Table 7 Bistro was a very nice experience. I had the District burger, it was very tasty and I loved the fries though I have to limit my intake 😋. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow. Grayson was very attentive, made the place feel welcoming.

I ate hereabout 9 months ago and I liked it. so, when my mother came to visit, I had her stay at the adjacent club quarters hotel. I just now.finished the pan seared chicken for lunch today and am happy to report that I HAVE found the very best place in town for casual food and service done with the upmost professional delivery

I have never been inside this place, but the employees alone...make me want to go. I fell off my bike today across from the establishment. A lady came out, and across to help me! Offered me a beverage, a seat, AND medical aid! When I say above and beyond! I will NEVER forget this and WE will be back! Plus they have pancakes!!

Food and drinks were excellent. Service a little slow but not enough to ruin experience. Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly. Delicious Bloody Mary's. Will be back for sure.

It was so nice food. Fried calamari is beautiful, calamari itself is good but it with green vegetable too. Mahi-mahi was so nice. High recommended

Came here in September to stuff up for an early meeting. I ate in a hurry but I couldn't forget how everything in this salmon omelet tasted so great. Needless to say, it gave me enough energy for the morning.

Grits in the shrimp and grits, while tasty, were the lumpiest grits ever. Was a little thinner than I like. Shrimp was good, snd service great. ,

The food here is really good and had a very nice environment. They offer several meats that are not common. The staff was not very tentative to us.

Visit here from chicago for few days .Food was good ! Nice View and soft music. I had French toasts and potatoes and eggs . Most importantly my coffee was hot

I got the Salmon plate. It was absolutely DELICIOUS. Going back tomorrow because I need one last taste of it tomorrow before I venture back home!!

Friendly service<br/><br/>The service was very friendly but it was la king in atmosphere. The menu is limited but I’m guessing that is due to the limited staff working. My food was good but not great.

It took 15 minutes for someone to take our order and the restaurant was not busy. We waited another 40 minutes for food. We could see into the kitchen and it was clear the staff was on break and not making food. After complaining food was brought and it was not worth the wait. Staff was not on the ball. Terrible

Stayed here on a business trip. Food is really good quality...spinach salad, bison burger & sweet potato fries.

WHAT A TRAIN WRECK!!. What a terrible experience!!<br/><br/>Our office took a co-worker to Table 7 for his birthday lunch- there were 9 of us total. We called ahead (unnecessarily) and made reservations. I say unnecessarily, as there was not a table ready for us upon our arrival (we all contributed to moving tables around to make something work) and there were only two other tables currently being served in the entire restaurant.<br/><br/>Our orders took about 40 minutes to arrive, which I wasn't upset about, as there were 9 of us... though another two tables of folks sat down after we ordered, were served (and left) before us. The waiter was less than attentive and the food was mediocre...In fairness, I might have rated it slightly higher than "mediocre" if the rest of the lunch hadn't turned into such a catastrophe.<br/><br/>Upon receipt of the bill, we each wrote out what we ordered on the back of the receipt, next to the names on our credit cards, in an attempt to make it easier for the waiter to split the check. Another 40 MINUTES later, we still hadn't gotten the checks back. Some of our party ended up having to leave before the checks returned, because they had to get back to work.<br/><br/>When I went to check on the waiter, he said he still had "two more cards to swipe" (45 minutes after receiving them) and gave the excuse that he had other tables to wait on in the interim... there were literally TWO tables of two customers each besides our table in the restaurant at this time.<br/><br/>When we finally DID get the checks, there were mistakes aplenty. Some had not been charged for their food at all, and some had been charged double and TRIPLE for their meals... (One of our guys had $80 worth of incorrect charges, in three separate transactions, for his one-entree lunch). My bill was "incorrectly charged and cancelled twice", according to the waiter. When I gave him my credit card to run for a THIRD time, the total was an entirely different number altogether... I have FOUR transactions on my bank statement from this one lunch today, as do half of the colleagues who attended this afternoon.<br/><br/>The majority of our party was forced to return to work as we rounded out HOUR-TWO of our lunch, while a few of us stayed behind in an attempt to settle up. When we asked questions about totals or for an itemized receipt, the waiter began asking for whoever's card ended in these "last TWO digits"... What?! It was a complete mess.<br/><br/>Finally, fed up with the chaos, I asked him how difficult it would be to cancel all of the transactions from our party and charge it all onto my one card... he said this would be super easy, so I decided to take this route to save us all the unnecessary stress and headache of trying to figure out what he had and hadn't done... This process took him ANOTHER 30 MINUTES, and when asked for the receipts that showed everyone's orders had been cancelled, he said he had "thrown them away", so we have no way of proving that he cancelled the other orders (Subesequently all of our credit cards stil show charges from lunch...)<br/><br/>By this time, there was only ONE person at ONE table in the restaurant...<br/><br/>Meanwhile, a man I can only assume to have been the Manager, walked in to complain to a member of the wait staff about there being dirty glasses on the bar... in this utterly desolate restaurant... She cleaned up the few glasses, and he looked right at us (you could say, the ONLY people in/standing at the bar and clearly in distress) and simply asked her something to the effect of, "What are they (us) doing? Is someone handling them?"... The waitress responded that our waiter was dealing with some sort of a mix-up and the Manager guy immediately cut her off to take a phone call and proceeded to wander around the restaurant aimlessly talking on his cell, instead of checking on us, inquiring about the problem, working to fix it, offering to comp ANYTHING... The waiter apologized at the end, but didn't even pretend to offer to rectify the situation any further.<br/><br/>What was initially going to be a pleasant, quick, low-key birthday lunch for a co-worker turned into a TWO-HOUR NIGHTMARE! I will never return to this restaurant, as the food wasn't good enough to merit this terrible level of service and incompetency at all levels.

Danielle T. Went for an afternoon lunch with a colleague. The bartender Vanessa was our server and the service was mediocre.My colleage asked for an order of fries (that did not come with her burger) and they brought it 20 minutes later after she had already finished eating. She told them she did not want the fries anymore and Vanessa dropped off the check within 2 minutes. Did not ask if I wanted a to go box, desserts, was your food okay?? NOTHING. VANESSA WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. She passed by the table three times and did not pick up the check for payment. I had to go up to the bar and ask if she could cash us out and told her she passed by three times and did not bother to pick it up. VERY RUDE SERVICE!! WILL NOT BE BACK!!

Good food for a hotel restaurant. I ordered blackened MahiMahi piccata, which was very good. Service good, although it was late Sunday evening.

Yummy tuna steak burger for $12, yes please!

I think they make a wonderful omlette! Specifically, the spinach w/ feta is worth a trip downtown.

Like airline food used to be. If you are wondering where all that good airline went, this is the place for you. Admittedly, I only had a Caeser salad with grilled chicken, but this one hit new marks on the bottom of the scale. Romaine lettuce pre-cut from some bag, by-the-box croutons, grilled chicken that Costco turned down, cheese sprinkles that tasted like, well, sprinkles. Sprinkles have no flavor. I guess this place does not see the need for repeat business. If you are looking for a meal in downtown Houston, try Samba Grille instead.

Breakfast excellent; pasta excellent. Service marginal.

Was told to sit anywhere, but all the tables were dirty...had to clean out own table. No one came to greet us within 20 minutes so we left. Horrible service.

Very run of the mill. I had the penne pasta dish. Bland with an odd taste with a bad attempt to perk it up with chopped cilantro.

Don't use them to cater!. This place is a joke as far as their catering abilities go! TAKE MY WORD FOR IT - DON'T HAVE THEM CATER YOUR EVENT OR office lunch!!!! They don't know the difference between MEDALLIONS OF TENDERLOIN and little sliced shreds of some kind of meat - and they have done NOTHING to make up for that HUGE mistake. Just offer free dessert next time we order from them! UH NO WAY! Not even a break in the price!!! It's too bad too because their food can be very good!

Nothing special. Hotel restaurant with a not very dynamic menu. Good for getting a meal when you just want to get it out of the way.
