Sawa Mediterranean Restaurant & Grill - Houston - Photo album

Found this spot on the way home from the Dickens on the Strand festival! So great! The inside is not fancy, but the food is fantastic. Tastes fresh and delicious. Would recommend trying the cauliflower and sample platter ❤️
This place is amazing!!! My boyfriend and I were in love with the food here and the staff was so lovely and kind. For meals we got the sampler plate to try a little of everything, and the vegan stir fry and oh my goodness they were so yummy. The salad was great as well and the spicy potatoes were de
YES!!! Wow. Tabboulleh, beef shawarma, falafel, kibbeh, green salad, pita, garlic sauce, tahini all were placed on our table and ALL of it was excellent and the price of our meal was so very reasonable. I will be back. I didn't get pics of all dishes. Note: I do agree there is a slight smell from
I am surprised this place was able to slip under my radar for so long. My fiance and I love Mediterranean food and never realized this place was right around the corner in clear lake. We got the grape leaves, falafel salad, humus, beef kababs, the kofta kababs, and the Turkish coffee. The food was
Don’t let the modest quiet storefront turn you away. I promise the food and people inside are simply the best. We have been loyal customers of the owner’s restaurants for over 30+ years. Best hummus, chicken kabobs, Turkish coffee and more.
The best Mediterranean food in the area. Don’t turn away because of the outside, the food is absolutely delicious. We got the grape leaves, yogurt + cucumbers, lentil soup, Greek salad with chicken, hummus, baba ghanoush and olives. All of it was amazing and better than most of the Mediterranean spo
This diner really surprised me. We've passed by it a few times, and didn't think much until the other night. Glad we went in, was the best mediterranean in the area! I'm really happy the owners put vegan/nondairy etc on the menu, it's very helpful and amazing for vegans/vegetarians. Delicious hummus
I was wonderfully surprised with the food! It was fresh, hot and full of wonderful flavor. We've tried other places and the kids and I wanted to try somewhere we had not been. New favorite place. A must try for sure so don't sleep on this place. Awesome staff. Very sweet.
Truly a gem. Not only is Sawa great at catering to my celiac diagnosis (which requires a strict gluten-free diet), but all of the flavors are so rich, fresh, and bright. The service is also impeccable. My go-to is the chicken ciku stirfry with a side of hummus and cucumbers, but you can’t go wrong
Food was great! The customer service was amazing. The restaurant was very well kept and clean. Reggie was our waiter and he was very wonderful. The food came out very quickly and he was very accommodating and constantly made sure we weren’t missing anything. Would 100% recommend.
Was our first time,we loved the food. Waitress was very nice. Looks like she needed some help. Waited a while for food but we'll worth the wait. Aside from big table with crazy wild kids screaming and watching some LOUD kids video, minus them it would have been a more pleasant lunch. Also, when packin
The owners and food were both fantastic. My only wish would have been for Lebanese-style music playing in the background. Absolutely will return to sample more of the menu!
We're so happy we tried this place. It's not the fanciest place around but the food is delicious and the service was stellar. We ordered the mixed kabob- moist, flavor chicken and delicious, tender beef means it was an instant favorite. The desserts were yummy, too! Go check it out!
Sawa has options for Vegan, Gluten Free, Halal, and vegetarian. This is our second time returning this week because of our first experience. We ordered different items and familiar ones to go. The Mnazali was very flavorful and I like the way it is prepared, almost like a sandwich. The Vegan Ciku St
I had looked up the “best restaurants” by NASA and this place popped up. From its very modest outside appearance I was skeptic. I went with my stepson who’s not a foodie. He’s reluctant to “new foods” so he got a Philly cheese steak, which he loved…LOVED! We also shared the sampler platter and he ha
This is unquestionably the best, most genuine, Mediterranean food in the Bay Area. Don’t let the outside appearance deter you from stopping by. The food is to die for. The server was extremely nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. He is there on Tuesdays and Thursdays! As for the food.. The hu
Our reception for 100 at Sawa was fantastic! I forgot how beautiful the interior of this restaurant, formerly Colloseum Italian Bakery, is when set with white linen. Our guests loved the food and I appreciate the owner’s flexibility in allowing us to cater the desserts separately. The price was q
We recently has some food delivered to our office from this restaurant. The food was amazing! The owner himself delivered the food and help set it up at our table. He was very kind. Ever since then, I have started to order from them. I love their Greek salad, just not a lover of onions or Bell peppe
A good friend introduced me to this place and it was so good I had to bring my mom. Tonight is the husband's turn. Their hummus is AMAZING and they offer it with pita and/or cucumber slices. So far, everything we have ordered has been delicious.the entire staff makes the cidit even better. Everyone
