Izakaya - Houston - Photo album

Great place to have sushi in downtown area of Houston. Fishes are fresh and food is tasty. The price is a little high, but the quality is up to par. Service is great as well. Parking is a little meh. I recommend carpool if you're planning to have a big group.
Just moved to the area and am so excited to find Izakaya Wa. Love the variety of skewers they had available and the sashimi options! Looking forward to returning! The decor was cute as well.
Upon arrival I asked for table for 1, and the host suggested either sushi bar or the drinking bar. It was cool that they had separate area at the back for drinking vibe while the dining area is more of a cozy vibe. I asked how the situation was at the drinking bar side and she told me to go check, w
Food was good, but a little inconsistent as far as portion and flavor. Some items were hits, some were too small for the price or just not as good. Tried a couple different skewers, I liked the Japanese Sausage. Chicken was OK. Sushi was good, udon tasty also. Rice balls were mid. Not bad bar food.
I’ve been here the 2 times I went to Houston and both meals were one of the best I’ve ever had. The quality of the fish is excellent and the variety of Japanese dishes is incredible. Considering the quality of the food I’d say everything is pretty reasonable. Outstanding 👍
The food here is great and that’s the biggest thing.. service is really good toro very friendly and trained staff. The drinks aren’t expensive if you’re looking to get a couple while you wait for food or while you eat your meal. Truthfully I forgot what we ordered but I do remember everything being
Great food and amazing services! They have multiple tables so we were able to walk in on a Friday night and was given a decent size table. A great Japanese restaurant that serves fresh wasabi (soft and gives you the kick!). The basic restaurant serves wet ginger and dry hardened wasabi, avoid those
There is lots of parking, but it's shared with lots of other places so it can be tricky to find a spot at busy times. The hostess stand is on the west side of the building but there is also an entrance/exit on the east side of the building. Was a wait-list for a table so make sure to plan ahead if y
Came here with a few friends. Spent about $31 dollars (including tax) and got a half portion of beef udon, takoyakis, and a 5 piece assorted skewer. Great selection of Japanese food over all. The bite sized pieces make it easy to try lots of different options. The beef udon was about $8.00 for half
Super tasty and authentic!!❤️ This is the only authentic Japanese food since I moved to the states. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is very friendly. Since I am Japanese, they talked to me in Japanese. I loved their welcoming attitudes. If we lived in Houston, this should be one of our places t
