First time here and had an amazing dining experience! My waiter took great care of me Monday night and gave me some solid wine recommendations. Took his word for a pasta dish and I can’t wait to return to try more! Highly recommended and the live music on Mondays really seals the deal.
In the heart of the theater district - Experience the ambiance, savor fresh delights, and enjoy a succulent meal! I highly recommend this downtown gem, my 1st visit from Alaska and I will be back ✔️
Add this to your must eats in downtown Houston!
I have been coming here for years with family, whether it be we were craving for pasta, or after any shows near Jones Hall. The food is absolutely delicious—my favorite go to is the Marco Polo pasta since it is a perfect spicy and sweet. There are times when service tends to be a little slow (especially on holidays) but the food and the atmosphere make up for it. Live music on some nights.
Just moved here from Dallas and had a taste for Italian food. This place had a great atmosphere the service was awesome and the food arrived in a decent amount of time. Out server Emily was totally awesome. There's parking on the street or you can choose to park in the lot across the street. I ordered from the fresh catch Salmon, mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked to my liking. The house salad is good. Tried the seafood sampler but I am not not a fan of fried food (I'm getting old). I didn't ask of grilled was an option. Great place for a business dinner or a date.
Top tier atmosphere. Pizzas, meatballs, sausages, and marinara sauce are amazing. Noodles aren’t boiled with enough salt so the Alfredo fell flat on my fettuccini. Affordable price. Good portions. They make a good sidecar. Wait times can fluctuate due to nearby shows.
So we came to eat here before a show at the Alley Theatre. Our server was Key. We absolutely loved her. She asked if we were going to a show and the time so that she could get us out in time. Everything she recommended was great, right down to dessert and she had our check printed and ready to go. She even offered to keep our left overs there until after the show and we could come back and pick it up. The best part that I have to commend her on is that after we arrived to the Alley on our way to our seats, we look up and there was our server Key. Apparently, I had dropped about one hundred dollars in cash on the floor under the table. She literally ran to the theater to look for me to return the money.. I was taken a back at her honesty and the fact that she came all the way over to find me when she could have easily kept the cash! Had she not asked about the show she may not have known which theater we were even going to out of Hobby, Jones and more. She deserves the extra tip I gave her and more. Thanks again Key for going out of your way to return the money! You rock!!!!
It was a night at the Alley Theater and of course dinner before at Birraporetti's! It's so convenient and they handle crowds before the show well! I got the pasta with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes and grilled chicken. It was pretty yummy and the creamy sauce wasn't too overpowered by the goat cheese. The other dish is the spinach pasta Alfredo with chicken. All came with a side salad or upgrade to a Caesar salad. I expected some bread to be brought out but either they stopped that or you have to ask for it. They kept our glasses full and our server was friendly. It took a bit to get her attention when we were ready for our check but no big deal and we got to the show on time.
Got the pasta poretti and NY strawberry cheesecake. Service was as expedient as it was incredible. Definitely coming back again for that manicott and cannoli soon. Salute
Our server Travis was very menu knowledgeable. All of his recommendations were great. Please try the cheesy garlic bread lol The pie was great... the crust was perfect. The Alfredo was very fresh. There is a man in there singing the great classics, mainly country... he was a charm. Definitely will return
Man...I haven't heard of Birraporetti's seems like a million years. I was so excited to dine-in after our symphony event. It was as I remembered from many years ago. I ordered the pizza with 4 toppings. The crust was good and crispy. Not overly cheesy or saucy. I loved it so much I put myself in a food coma. My husband and I will be dining in in the future 🙂 Our waiter, Charles, was very attentive and helpful in meal selections. Thanks for a great experience 🥰
