My family and I had an incredible dining experience at Sal y Pimienta! The Lamb Lolichops were absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked (medium) and bursting with flavor. The Truffle Pasta was a creamy delight, with a rich and indulgent sauce. And let's not forget the 36 oz Tomahawk steak—it was a true treat, juicy and tender with a mouthwatering charred crust. I must give a special shout out to Edgar, one of the best waiters I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. His attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine warmth added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. The ambiance at Sal y Pimienta was fantastic, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made the dining experience even more memorable. And a bonus treat: their chicken, lamb and most steaks are halal! Will be back soon…

We went for Houston Restaurant Week and had a great time. There were three of us, and we shared what each of us ordered. The menu consists of four courses with a few options to select on each. Our waiter was attentive, and the food was OK. The flank steak was liked the best, and you have to get the 4 leches!!

Came to eat here with my wife and a couple of great friends for dinner after coming into town from Amarillo. We had the calamari and the empeñadas to start with our appetizers. For our main course we had the Suprema Pollo de la Plancha, Lobster Mezzaluna Pasta, Aukushi Out Side Skirt and Lamb Ossobuco. Along with this we had a few cocktails and some glasses of wine. Overall we had a great time at the restaurant. The wait staff was really good and the food was delicious and cooked well. We are glad that we decided to choose something other than a steakhouse (cause there are tons of them everywhere) and something different in Latin American culture other than Mexican food. Would definitely recommend anyone to eat here if they are looking for something different like we did. Also if you have room for desert the cheesecake is really good. It’s different than most of the restaurants as it has alittle but of whipped cream, caramel and is caramel flavored.

A great South American restaurant, nice atmosphere, fantastic food and excellent customer service. I would describe it as a casual upscale steakhouse. It’s one of our favourite restaurants near us. Their steaks always cooked to perfection. I love the Lamb Lolichop and Empanadas. I think they make the best Chimicurri sauce . You guys should try their amazing Sunday Brunch Buffet but please note that it’s not on every Sunday. Check out the dates on special menu. It’s worth it. The last time we dined there was for a lunch. I had the delicate and delicious Apple Bread Pudding for dessert. It’s new in the menu. But my husband thinks Cuatro Leches is the best. This is a great place to go with family, friends and for business lunches/dinners. They have 2 rooms that are available for private dining. The bar is fitted with 2 tvs so people can watch sports etc. There is also an outdoor seating at the front of restaurant. Paid/free parking garage is a few steps away.

Came here for a dinner party and actually surprised by the food. Before coming, I heard not so great things and wasn’t impressed with what I saw on the menu either. The food spoke for itself though. Our table ordered lamb chops and empanadas to start. I am not a fan of lamb chops but they weren’t too bad, I must say. If I recall correctly, there were 4 different types of empanada fillings. My favorites were the spinach and artichoke and the beef. For our entrees we had the tomahawk and the ribeye to share amongst 8 people. We also ordered sides of mushrooms, asparagus and mash potatoes. Loved the mashed potatoes, I would’ve been content eating just that, honestly. Before our steaks came, our servers came with decorated hot plates and we had a bit of fun plating up our dinner lol. The steaks were seasoned beautifully. It came out pretty rare for me but our server just told us to keep it on the the hot tray for longer. Oo we also got the 4 leches which was a nice sweet treat after our meal. Overall, I would probably recommend this place for an occasion.

Great flavors across all dishes. Extremely nice waiters but was a bit slow between plates and restaurant wasn’t very full. This didn’t deter on food quality at all. Everyone in our party of 12 was happy

What a restaurant! I dined in for their Sunday all-you-care-to-eat brunch buffet and was absolutely delighted with the experience. Everything was so expertly cooked and presented, from fried shrimp, empanadas, and delicious meats, to the fresh salads, fruits, and desserts—it was a true feast. The service was flawless. The price for all of this is very fair, but understandably premium.

Had the Sunday Brunch, which consists of an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. They start you out with some freshly fried potato chips which were a pleasant surprise. I chose the empanadas, skirt steak (entraña) and Quatro leches. Empanadas were flaky and flavorful, the steak was tender, the potatoes well seasoned. Overall it was good, but not the best I've had. The biggest issue I had was the portion size. Being my first brunch, I was caught off guard by the silver-dollar sized empanadas and overall smaller portions. Service was attentive, although not necessarily the warmest (I think Guatemala spoiled me). Nevertheless it was definitely worth it and I plan to return for dinner.

We stopped into Sal y Pimienta Kitchen during Houston Restaurant Week. They offered a $55 4-course dinner with an appetizer, soup, entree, and dessert. I felt that the food was very delicious, particularly the steaks, and was happy I was able to try a variety of dishes thanks to the HRW menu. I ordered the ceviche, lobster bisque, lamb ossobuco, and chaja for my course options. We also tried the calamari strips, empanadas, flank steak, wagyu ossobuco, 4 leches, and flan. The ceviche tasted very fresh and had a decent amount of fish. The calamari strips were extremely delicious and fried to perfection. The empanadas were okay. The lobster bisque was interesting. It tasted more like a butternut squash soup than a lobster bisque and did not contain any seafood at all. The lamb ossobuco was quite an entire shank and very tender. I felt that the flavor got a bit old after a while. The flank steak was probably my favorite and had an amazing grilled flavor. The wagyu ossobuco had the same flavor profile as the lamb shank but with a beefy flavor instead. All of the desserts were delicious. The chaja was refreshing, the flan was packed with flavor, and the 4 leches wasn't overly sweet. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit to Sal y Pimienta Kitchen. I was thankful for the Houston Restaurant Week menu since it gave us the ability to sample a variety of dishes at a fairly reasonable price, considering the prices of the normal dishes on the menu. I would recommend people to visit when celebrating a special occasion, but am not sure if I would see myself coming back on a frequent basis.

We were there for Houston Restaurant Weeks. The food was good. Portion was big. The ceviche tasted fresh, and the calamari was very tender.
