Bistro 555 - Houston - Photo album

This is a cute little Cafe style restaurant. It's very small and reminds you of Paris if you've ever been. They nailed the vibe completely. There is very little seating, so I would recommend making a reservation. No cocktails sold here, but plenty of wine to choose from. The menu is very nice and
Great food and atmosphere! Both waiters Chuck and Teodoro are very attentive and friendly. The hostess Blanca has always been accommodating if we are running late due to traffic. The chef and his staff make great food, and we have never had a bad dish after eating there over fifty times in t
My husband and I dined at Bistro 555 for my birthday and had a wonderful evening. We started with one too many appetizers, but everything sounded so good. We shared the cheese plate. We each really enjoyed one of the cheeses and the honey was to die for. My husband had the French onion soup, and I h
Our first time in this French restaurant since they changed of owners (it’s was before the Bistro Provence). The decoration is very nice, typical from south of France. Large choice of famous French recipes, excellent service and everything was just excellent (including the bread 😋). Great choice of
This place was amazing! Wonderful atmosphere and incredible food!! We had reservations and were seated right away. We got 3 appetizers: escargot, duck patè, and the cheese plate. They brought out warm bread. We each had a different entree: Bœuf À La Bourguignonne, Les Moules Frites Du "Rabelais" (fr
***Edited review after new ownership** The renewed establishment is night and day. They clearly incorporated some of the winning combinations from the Le Mistral restaurant here, and it shows. Food was incredible. Chicken was good, Mistral salad perfect, cassoulet divine, and lovely desserts as well
PRO'S: Bistro 555 is an excellent choice for traditional french provincial dishes. We had a well-dressed house salad, escargot & trout, all well prepared. Traditional french onion soup was slightly beefy & too hot. Excellent service and a modest priced wine list made the evening enjoyable. CON'S: T
One of the absolutely best dining experiences I've ever had in many years. Why have I not ever visited this place before? Thus French Bistro exceeded our expectations and was well worth every penny. First of all, the place had a lovely atmosphere. It truly reminded me of our time in Paris. The walls
Excellent food. Margherita pizza was probably the best I've had in Houston. It was made in true Neapolitan style. Per my friend, the lobster pot pie was also great. The tomato soup was on point. The pistachio ice cream was a major disappointment. They were kind enough to change it with creme brulee
Loved this quaint family-run French bistro on Memorial Drive. Authentic French cuisine at moderate prices. The only thing we didn't like was the cheese pizza that we ordered for my toddler. He wasn't too keen on the cheese they used. Other than that, all our other items were delish!
A lovely French bistro in Houston, Texas. The food was delicious and prepared to order in the kitchen that was open to the restaurant. I recommend making reservations as the restaurant is small. I highly recommend the Les Moules Frites du "Rabelais" (Mussels in a white wine cream sauce). This w
We came back to this place to celebrate our anniversary, after a several-years hiatus, then still as Bistro Provence, and it did not disappoint us. Every was really nice, deserving 5 stars. Now with the booking, much better
Waitstaff here was excellent!!!!!!!!! The bread & olive oil was excellent, we had the cheese plate and found the cheeses to be a bit run-of-the-mill but still enjoyed. For mains we had the salmon and the ribeye. The salmon came with the skin on & crispy and with a pesto type sauce that was delicious
Easy to make online reservations and table ready on arrival. Waiter moved us around trying to get best location for heater since it was a cool evening. Food was great and plentiful. My wife and I split each course with food left over. Some things seem to run out (we were last to get mussels) so put
Top quality French cuisine. Doesn't get any better. Lobster pot pie is out of this world...a must try! Their beet, arugula, goat cheese salad is amazing. Wine selection is great. I even took my mom to their special chef's menu mother's day celebration, and it was superb.
