Red Lion Pub - Houston - Photo album

I wish I could give Red Lion 10 stars!! This was our first time and the ambiance and food were absolutely amazing. We got the Sunday Roast dinner, both lamb and beef, and I can honestly say it's the best meal we've had our entire trip. Absolute fantastic and we will definitely be back again, possibl
We haven't been for awhile since we don't live close. We ended up splitting the baked chicken tandoori quesadillas. They were flavorful and the sauces were also good. They used to have more in them but they were still good. We will still hungry so we also had the one piece fish and chips Friday spe
I had the half portion Fish & Chips with peas. Lemonade for my drink. The bar must open earlier than the restaurant as the parking lot was full when I arrived at 11:05 am. The service was very good and it was nice to have an authentic meal.
I’ve been eating at the Red Lion for years! Great beer selection (Fuller’s ESB is perfect!) their fish & chips is spectacular and the Friday Fish & Chips Special is one hell of a deal! Best fish & chips in town!!
I must say that the fish and chips I had at the Red Lion may be the best I've ever had. Including places I've eaten it in London. Be aware that these portion sizes are truly enormous. A half size portion is more than enough for any one person.
Classic British Pub. Love the environment and traditional British dishes like fish and chips, but there are also other mix of mexican and indian dishes.
The Red Lion Pub is a charming and cozy establishment that offers a delightful British pub experience. I've had the pleasure of visiting a few times, and it consistently delivers on its promise of good food and a warm atmosphere. The menu at the Red Lion is a nod to classic British pub fare. You ca
This is a Houston classic. Great pub with excellent service and excellent service. I had chicken tikka masala and it was sooo delicious. DJ was playing great songs though it was unnecessarily loud. That is the only reason I am not giving five stars!
Atmosphere is cozy Clean facilities and restrooms Good selection of cold adult beverages Great selection of meals including Fish and Chips
It's a cozy space with very interesting details in the interior design. It was right at 11am when we arrived for lunch & the host/server was very intent on watching the football game by the bar that I had to say 'hello' 3 times to get his attention. It was the bar tender who noticed us by the entran
This place is awesome. I've been to Great Britain often and this pub could have been transplanted here from across the Atlantic. Delicious food, great service, and a fine selections of draft beers, ciders, wines and liquor await you here. Samosas were huge, the fish & chips were the best I've had
Such a great atmosphere & service was great! We shared spinach dip & large fish & chips. Tartar sauce was spectacular, fish was just decent. Dip was good!
It’s been a while since I visited this place but I can definitely remember the great experience u had here. The shepherds pie is phenomenal and tasty, and their wine selection is on point as well. A very cozy place and overall different experience from your typical bar/pub in Houston.
We celebrated a birthday here. The. Friday fish and chips special was so good. The desserts are really good and huge portions to share. The atmosphere is fun with great music playing.
I just love the ambiance of this cozy little spot, and the food is delicious! Today I indulged a bit more and tried a specialty drink: The Old Smokey in Apple Fashion. I was NOT disappointed! From the table side presentation to the apple twist to this flavorful classic, this cocktail was divine! It'
Great atmosphere, amazing fish and chips. It's very authentic to the pubs I've been to in England or Wales. Loved it all, we asked for Bass Ale because it was on the menu and we haven't seen anywhere else to get it.. they were out. :( only downside.
Didn't seem like much from the outside and drove past the place a few times... but alas a local Houstonian friend of ours reccommended the place... Not only were we blown away by the interior.. the food was gourmet! Much more quality than what we were expecting for "pub" food. Had the Pan Seared C
The Orange Fanta was not fresh. Flat and tasted mildew-y. Must not be an item ordered often, to my disappointment as I don't drink alcohol. Fish and chips fantastic. Chips were firm outside soft inside. Large wedge chips were well cooked and the peas were well made. A bit of pop. Vegetable curry w
Julia the bartender is awesome and can handle a very busy bar efficiently
