Cool Runnings Jamaican Grill - Houston - Photo album

Stopped in on a Friday around 2:30 pm and they were very busy. Even though there was a line, they quickly serviced everyone. This restaurant allows easy to-go orders and dinning in as options. I ordered a beef patty and the large curry goat plate. The beef patty was unremarkable, as it was likely st
Ate here last week while visiting Houston. I've only had brown stew chicken a couple of times before, and those were just average. This one here took my taste buds beyond what I expected. The vegetables tasted good, but the rice and peas were lacking in flavor. All in all the brown stew chicken is t
I really like the food here. I’ve been here twice. I had oxtails w rice/peas and cabbage. I also ordered jerk chicken a La carte just to try it. There wasn’t any jerk sauce on the chicken but it was seasoned and cooked so well it wasn’t needed. My friend loves the beef patties and oxtails as well. I
My family and I drove 54 minutes for some Jamaican food. We dined in and it was five of us. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. Our waitress Stephiann was Amazing. Y’all this food is delicious. My husband and I ordered the curry chicken, my daughter ordered the Rasta Pasta, OMG! I w
Of course I went after the Keith Lee review and that’s my biggest regret, Should’ve tried them out prior ! I bought the small stewed chicken that comes with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains for $10 + tax. Very impressed 👌🏾 Good flavor, service and it’s clean !
Wow! We were in the mood to try something different at the spare of the moment, and boy am I glad we did. We literally just googled Caribbean food and chose this restaurant to stop by. We ordered the jerk chicken which came with plantains, broccoli and beans and rice. We don't eat rice so I can
I've visited Cool Runnings twice and each time my meal of oxtails was wonderfully delicious! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I tasted the saltwater fish and jerk chicken that my family ordered, all delicious! Staff is nice and friendly. They also have live music.
First time eating at Cool Runnings and when I tell you the Food was amazing, service was fast and prices are very reasonable. I brought the large oxtail plate with peas and rice with cabbage and y’all it was more than enough food I ate on it that day and night. When I visit Houston again I will be r
Brown stew chicken and Oxtails are amazing. I will be eating here every time I come to Houston.
This is the best place I have found in Houston for Jamaican/Caribbean food. The Brown Stew Chicken, Jerk Pork, festival bread are my favorites, but everything I have tried from here is always good. The waitstaff is friendly, and knowledgeable about the food if you have questions about anything. The
Got the brown chicken it was delicious 8.9 out of 10. My only complaint is they forgot to put my plantains in the plate and honestly I was looking forward to eating them. Rice and Peas Cabbage Plantains 1 single beef patty 7.5 out of 10
The food and atmosphere offers a piece of Jamaica here in Houston the Beef Pies and Oxtails were heavenly but the Pineapple Ginger juice did it for me!!🔥💕
Absolutely enjoyed every bit of this food. I mean the depth of flavor and freshness was something to write about. Jerk chicken was grilled which you could taste the grill and the jerk flavor(the jerk wasn’t to spicy, but just right), the curried goat was so tender and rich (that gravy or stew that t
The food is authentic and very good. I have eaten here and used the catering services here, and it was definitely worth it. My guest loved the food. Curry chicken and jerk chicken are my favorites.
Huge portions, authentic Jamaican taste. This restaurant is quite spacious. They also feature a life band. The food is worth it. Though I will steer clear of the beef patty next time. It was a little too dry for me, but the chicken patty was nice. Will definitely visit again.
