Fresh mozzarella, alfredo sauce, tomato sauces, and everything was delicious. We did not have reservations, but they fit us in. Best Italian food my family has ever had. We were also surprised how affordable this fresh made to order food was.

we had an appetizer, 2 entrees and dessert. the appetizer was a caprese salad, my bf liked it. I had the spaghetti with a bolognese sauce. I liked it but after trying the ravioli I felt I should have ordered it with marinara. the ravioli was exceptional. we had tiramisu and it was moist and balanced. there atmosphere was great, a little fancier than the pictures lead on so going after a walk at memorial park wasn’t the best idea but not steak house fancy. the service was ok, our waiter didn’t check in at all and took a while to bring the check after we asked for it. over all it’s still a really great place

Wow! Great Italian food. We all enjoyed our meals. One grandson ordered pizza. They brought the crust, sauce, and toppings to the table for him to make it for the oven! Did not get pics, but my Veal dish was delish! I cleaned the plate! My other grandson had the Pasta Alfredo with Chicken. He said it was so worth the wait! The garlic bread is yummy! Mozzarella Sticks are good.

Upon arrival I was a little off put by the exteriors appearance and hesitant to enter and the interior was also a bit off-putting. After looking through the menu, it made a little bit more sense as to why the establishment looks the way it does they wanted to “blend Texas and Italy by serving Italian food in a ‘barn.’” The food service was slow but everyone was kind. The complimentary salad was unappetizing but the bread was very good and seasoned. We ordered the carbonara and pesto pasta. All of us enjoyed our food and I dont believe anyone was able to finish even though the portions did not look large - they were filling.

Food is delicious but be prepared for sloooow service. We were sitting there for 20min before our order was taken. I really enjoyed the garlic bread. The salad was good, I wasn't quite sure what the dressing was it mostly tasted like mayo but the the notes with croutons were wonderful. Escargot comes with a generous amount compared to other places. Shrimp were cooked perfectly. Alfredo sauce is very flavorful and creamy. I'll definitely be adding them to our takeout list.

First time visiting Cavatore...2/17/23 Yes, the other reviews are correct in saying that the service is slow. If you're in a time crunch, DO NOT stop here. If you have plenty of time on your hands, this is the place to go to. The food is delicious and it's such a cute and interesting place to visit. I walked around to check out the place, and a young man at the door gave me lots of information about the place. I love how the owner decided to combine both Italy and Texas in a unique way. Lots to explore. I was told they have live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. If you love escargot, they serve a heaping portion. My husband and I arrived an hour and a half before closing. The young man that sat us seemed to be very upset that we arrived at that time. We were sat at a table that was dirty. Bread crumbs covered the table and I used one of the newly rolled silverware placed on the table to brush off the breadcrumbs. I was brushing off the breadcrumbs as the waiter brought water to our table and he definitely saw me brushing them off because I did not stop, just to see if he would acknowledge or apologize for seating us at a dirty table. Yeah, that didn't happen. We had to find someone each time we needed more water or wine. Kudos to the chef. To the owner, I would suggest more pleasant and attentive waitstaff.

This old barn turned restaurant ia a quaint old place with great food and service at reasonable prices. There is a piano player in the evenings to enhance the ambiance. It's a family run place that won't rush you out so take your time.

Went on a busy Friday, at 8pm. The place was still packed although they close at 9pm. I got the Pollo Alla Parmigiana and it was perfect. The bartender was attentive and the manager checked on me. I got to meet the owner as well and had a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend this place for excellent Italian food and impeccable service!

Came here for a quick dinner. We’ve been meaning to try it since it’s so close. We didn’t have a reservation but they managed to seat us after a short wait. Service was great. They brought out some garlic bread to start. We ordered a couple cocktails and opted for the table side Caesar to start. My wife got the fettuccine and I got the the spaghetti bolognese with Italian sausage. We both loved our dishes. We finished it off with a very nice Italian cream cake. All in all, unexpectedly, good for an impromptu dinner in the neighborhood. We’ll be back.
