Review Les Ba'get - Houston

Stopped in the first time and was disappointed in the service it's counter type and the woman taking our order was clearly having a bad day. She got our order wrong and then asked us to pay the 2 dollar difference when the foodncame out and we asked for it to be corrected i guess vermicelli and bahn mi do sound similar. You don't do that anyways we left with a bad impression but the food was good. We had the butter chicken vermicelli and the butter chicken rice plate with a pork belly spring roll. I decided to try it again a week later and a better experience the service was great. And the plates were delicious we had the Pho and the Lemongrass Rice dish with the he mini shrimp egg roll appetizers and a brisket spring roll.

The ingredients were fresh, but pricey., but I guess that’s just Oak Forest location. The Pork Bahn mi had too much charring. It would have been nice if the ingredients were a bit more mixed together in the sandwich. It looks beautiful the way it is, but the flavor comes in clumps. The coconut basil shrimp vermicelli bowl was Delicious but would have been better over rice. The shrimp was done very well and the sauce would have been wonderfully picked up by rice. The vermicelli portion was huge so I had to take some leftovers.

Delicious 😋 I love Banh Mi ❤️ The baguette was fresh, right size and toasted just right. Lemongrass Pork was charred to perfection! Vegetable were super fresh, without that been in the refrigerator for days taste 😝 They had guava tea! 😲 I ❤️ guava!

This is my first pho place in Houston and I would say it wasn’t a disappointment. I had the lean beef with meatballs and eggs in my pho. The stock is very good and well seasoned. You have to go and order and then find a spot to eat which was not usual for pho restaurant. I’ve seen people ordering the baguette which looks delicious but I haven’t tried it. The meat portion was generous giving the high price on the pho which is around 20$. Is it the best pho I’ve had no, but definitely worth trying.

AMAZING! The pho was delicious and had so much meat in it! The braised beef belly baguette was tender and juicy. The zucchini noodles were a great low carb noodle substitute. The lemongrass tofu was very flavorful as well. Plenty of parking available but they close at 8pm which is kind of early. They rarely have croissants available for the sandwiches which has been frustrating. Bring back the pork belly and get more croissants please!!!

Stopped by Les Ba’get for a family dinner with my sister, brother-in-law, mom and wife. We ordered the Buddha spring rolls, the Buddha egg rolls, the Buddha baguette sandwich and the vegan pho. It was all delicious. This place rocks in quality, taste and ambiance. I totally recommend this place.

Really refreshing take on Vietnamese cuisine. There are, of course, some very delicious traditional dishes, such as pho and spring rolls, but there are also some more creative dishes, such as their coconut prawn vermicelli. There is even a kid menu option for parents. The drink selection is really good as well. This includes a selection of very tasty margaritas and teas. The atmosphere is very trendy. Nothing was dirty nor in need of repair. The staff is very friendly. I definitely intend on becoming a regular here.

This place is AWESOME! Love their pho and love that they have quail eggs. Always great service. Got the pho with lean brisket and quail eggs. Texas brisket spring roll, strawberry basil lemonade sooo delicious. They have gluten free options pho is gluten free, almost all spring rolls are gluten free.

This place was excellent! The banh mi was delicious and I also indulged in the passion fruit tea. The food portions are large, which justifies the price, but the drink was (in my opinion) too expensive ($6-7). I highly recommend the coconut shrimp banh mi.

Beautiful build out, fun and funky vibe. The menu is small and simple but the dishes are complex. You definitely get value per item as the dishes aren't small. The fillet mignon pho was tasty, but it could have used a little more flavor per my preference, but there's nothing stopping you from doctoring it up to your taste like any other pho restaurant. The Buddha egg rolls stood out more than the brisket spring rolls to me, both were very nice I just got more flavor out of the egg roll. Of course we tried a baguette, the tofu was great! I'm not a vegetarian but my girlfriend is and I really enjoyed it. I'd you're looking for a banh mi this is equally as delicious. We also ordered the kids vermicelli and chicken dish. He's a picky eater, but I really enjoyed the curried brown sauce on the chicken. Very flavorful, but not the best if your little one doesn't have an adventurous pallet. The passion boba tea was refreshing and all three of us enjoyed it.

Delicious banh mi and spring rolls. Ate everything up before we could take pics!

Stepped through the doors and I can already smell the homey pho broth in the air. The restaurant’s decor was done nicely as it is industrial chic with modern flair and a splash of Viet cultural references. Loved the framed pictured in the bathroom that portrays Vietnam, especially gangsta grandma with a jack in her mouth. Now onto the food! Floppy Belly Spring Rolls had a good balance of tender meat, veggies, and noodles. Side of nuoc mum (dipping fish sauce) was a perfect balance of sweet and salty. These were some very big rolls so I felt like I got my money’s worth. Pho with Meatballs had a depth of smokey flavor I’ve never encountered before. Normally, pho places surely have that distinct pho flavor but never smokey and they try to achieve a clear broth. Albeit the broth here was not cloudy but the color was darker than the normal. It added to it’s appeal for me. I really enjoyed it here and look forward to having this dish again. Lemongrass Bone Marrow was an exciting option on the menu! It looked fantastic when it came out. I think the bone marrow may have lost it’s own flavors among the lemongrass and the baguette was extremely buttered. I would have liked less of it. Steak and Eggs, which I was looking forward to was everything I had hoped it to be. The steak was seasoned well and was not over done, it still held it’s tenderness. The eggs were sunny side up with a crispy edge, who doesn’t love crispy edges on their eggs?! The shishito peppers were charred, soft, and a great compliment to the steak. These also had no heat, so don’t be afraid to eat them. Get that vitamin C, ya’ll~ Tomatoes were full of juice and flavors. It’s like having a small portions of yummy tomato soup bombs in your mouth. There was also sweet Vietnamese sausage which was an interesting appearance. Puffy Beef Tendon Chicharron are like fancy pork rinds except they were lighter and made of beef. They were salty and I think I’ll skip them next time. Overall, it was a fun place to try Vietnamese cuisine that has been brought up a notch with it’s artistic plating, deep flavors, and interesting pairings.

We moved into the area recently and hadn't found a good Pho spot worth going to. A friend of mine recommended this place and glad he did. Not only was the pho good, but they had the option for zucchini noodles which helps with the strict diet we are on. We picked up food to go but I'm excited to have found this spot and eat at the restaurant because that was also a cool vibe. Agree with the other comments about it being on the pricer side but I suppose that's what you get because of the area. Also for it not being in Asia/China town in Houston (or the old Les Grivals in Midtown) was very happy with this spot.

Really cool inside dining area! Pictures of the Vietnamese motherland and other cultural bits. The service was good as we literally walked in when they opened up on a Sunday morning. We had the beef filet mignon pho which has beef broth it was very tasty to say the least. I also had their brisket bahn mi sandwich with an egg! Add some sriracha to it and it’s magical! This place while it has its Vietnamese roots is more Americanized but I’m sure will still satisfies the palette of many stomachs.

DEEELISH! So happy I finally tried this place, a friend had recommended it to me (he goes all the time.) The banh mi is just perfect, the bread has just the right amount of crispy & fluffiness. The ingredients are fresh & veggies are crunchy. Best fish sauce hands down, nice & garlicky. The frozen drinks are amazing, including the one pictured as well as their frozen thai tea (OMG!) Only downside is the price. The experience, atmosphere & food made it worth it, though!

This is my second time dinning in at Les Ba’get (first time was pre covid times). Their food is definitely tasty and their menu isn’t as overwhelming as others. If you’re vegetarian or vegan this place doesn’t really cater to those diets(They do offer tofu but it is mixed with other items). Their banh mi or Bagets are really good and the bread is toasted perfectly! They have pretty big portions when it comes to food items so do expect this place to be a little pricey than your average bellaire food spots. This location is in a developing neighborhood so as far as Asian cuisine this is great. I know the other reviews state “it’s not worth it” or the cashier isn’t very “friendly” but honestly they were kind enough for me ! (If you’ve ever been to a true Asian place you know friendliness isn’t a big factor lol) With that being said , take the time to check this place out especially on a nice Sunday day and enjoy their patio with one of their pho micheladas .

I was debating with my partner whether or not they have a bakery in house because the bread they use for the Bahn mi sandwiches taste like they were baked 5 minutes before. You will love everything on the menu.
