Review Mai's Restaurant - Houston

Our appetizer, which is number 10, tastes really good. However, #15, pho Tai is so bland and doesn't taste good at all. #51 has a huge good amount of plate, but it's not too tasty. It's kinda bland and needs to be marinated more. Crew and staff are very attended and polite. They have a lot of spot for parking at the back of the restaurant and one from across the street. The atmosphere is decent and peaceful. But other than that it still a 3.5 star experience overall

My wife and I were craving eggrolls and I was craving BUN with Chicken. Mai's NEVER DISAPPOINTS. Open till 3am Friday and Saturday I highly recommend a visit to this midtown institution.

I have been eating at Mai's Vietnamese restaurant since 1995 and the food is constantly delicious. Their service is impeccable and they have a large Vietnamese family following, which lets you know that it is right on the money. Their prices are very fair market prices. The decor is great, complete with exotic fish tanks and simple and clean restaurant furnishings. Mai's is my most favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Houston. Give them a try and they will be yours too!

The garlic chicken was delicious but the waitress was rude to our table of 8. She cut us off when taking each order. She walked away when I asked for extra vegg ies. So I didn't get extra veggies. She kept saying “just wait”. She had no care.

Visiting this restaurant for the first time. Was not disappointed at all. Food came out fast. There steam rice was one of the best for me. Honestly not all restaurants can make some good steam rice. Our waiter was a bit rude. But other than that everything was amazing.

Great Vietnamese restaurant. Chicken pho was delicious and service was good.

Pho and other similar dishes taste pretty good, but it's definitely on the pricier side. Parking is slightly confusing, it's across the street and slightly diagonal to the restaurant. Service is good and the food comes pretty quick. There is an automatic 18% gratuity applied for groups of 6 or more.

Easily one of my family’s favorite restaurants in Houston. My wife’s been coming since the old location. The egg rolls usually don’t even hit the plate before they’re gone. Everything’s great, including the service, but the garlic beef is one of my go-tos. The chicken wings are also terrific.

Good experience. We came in on a Thursday afternoon as a family. Delicious food. Good size portions. Great waiting staff! Great recommendations from the waiter as well. They can substitute without any problems or extra charges.

DELICIOUS!! Service is a 10/10 fast efficient and attentive server. They stay open pretty late so it gets busy around 10pm but the staff makes it work just fine.

Customer service is amazing and the staff goes over and beyond to make sure your taking care of. Drinks are always refilled without asking and the food is outstanding. Hot and fresh and seasoned with the best ingredients.

Love this place! If you can’t decide what to order then just say this: lychee martini, spring rolls, and the shaking beef. Salt and pepper shrimp is also super yum. Always delicious and a must while in Houston. They’re always pretty busy so sometimes food and service can take a while. That’s what the martini is for, just be patient and it will be worth it

Cool place, been there for years. Houston favorite for after bar/club eating since it stays open until early morning hours like 3am. But don't let that fool you, they serve up delicious pretty authentic Vietnamese food, but also has the Americanized stuff for those less adventurous. Anthony Bourdain liked it. Pho and spring rolls seem to be the top choices. Wouldn't recommend the fried rice with chicken though, not that it's terrible, just not wow, but kid friendly (my kids like it with no scallions).
