Jonathan's The Rub - Houston - Photo album

This food was very flavorful. I got the bunker hill I believe it was the chicken and shrimp pan seared it was a little spicy and the Denver roasted which was savory and sweet. Our side was the macaroni. The service was slow our drinks didn't stay full, we had to wait between our appetizer and order
If you’re looking for a place for lunch or dinner that is slightly more upscale without going too far in that direction, then a good choice is Jonathan’s the Rub, an American food restaurant with Italian options. This local chain has a few locations in the greater Houston area and this one, on Campb
Went here for the 1st time and sat at the bar. The service was quick and excellent, with great suggestions. The Triple Smoke Burger was awesome and the Prickly Pear Tequila Sour was just what I needed. Will definitely return.
Stopped by for our first time tonight and Marissa was fantastic! She was fast and the service she gave us was very unmatched!! The food and drinks were beyond amazing! We will definitely be back!
The restaurant has moved from the tiny spot I remember 15 or so years ago. Easy parking… nice bar and restaurant atmosphere. The host and our waiter were extremely friendly and attentive. Food was good. The bacon wrapped scallops were delicious and grandma’s cheesecake was just as I remembered it! F
Nice place with a good selection of American food. The Chilean seabass was on point! the bruschetta was a great starter - freshness the shrimp was so fresh and tasty
This review is specifically about their thanksgiving take out menu. We ordered their fried turkey and gravy and it was extraordinary. Great flavor, clear instructions to reheat and organized pick up. We hope to continue picking up our turkey from Jonathan's - just don't forget to order it early!
Jonathan’s the Rub has become my go-to dining destination, and for good reason. Its convenient location, outstanding service, delectable dishes, and delightful drinks make it an absolute favorite of mine. Located a mere 4 minutes away from my home, this restaurant has effortlessly woven itself into
A group of friends and I visited Jonathan’s for brunch; there were six of us total. We loved the convenience of being able to park right in front of the restaurant - not in a garage or having to use valet, and we were welcomed right away upon entering the double glass doors. The decor is upscale, bu
Delicious dishes and great service with Mgr Sam. A wonderful adult like atmosphere for a Saturday at 5pm. Try the wine, Silver Oak, you won’t be disappointed.
Still looking for the ultimate fries. Did not find them at Jonathan’s Rub…BUT I did find the ultimate Onion Rings. I’d come here just to get the rings, they’re that good. The fries were good, just not great. Well cooked with a very nice spice on them. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. N
What a truly wonderful place to eat. When we arrived we unknowingly walked in the side entrance and was greeted by Jonathan himself. He was very cordial and welcomed us in to his place. From there the experience was elevated with every employee we interacted with. The food and drinks were good. The
I'm guessing this is a family owned business because everybody on their team was in a great spirit which makes the costumer experience 10 times better. The food has so much flavor in it and all the portions was large. I felt like i was eating on that pork chop for 3 days. If I lived here I would vis
Curiosity satisfied about this restaurant. Location is excellent, right off I10. Service is friendly but perfunctory. The mussels were really flavourful, the shrimp was nice. The chicken fried steak was also good. It is a bit pricey.
Update: the menu has changed since they moved. I miss seeing my old favorites. But the food and service is still good. Adding photos from recent brunch. Supporting this neighborhood restaurant one more time before they move to their new location. Will defiantly miss being able to walk over to this
Haven’t been to JTR since the Gaylord store’s closure. Pleasantly surprised. Contemporary interior with a bar. Friendly services. Plenty of options on the menu (even for lunch). Can’t beat its value-for-money price. Two course lunch menu for $20.
Got the Thanksgiving fried turkey. When I picked it up it was a room temperature with reheating instructions. Given the size of the bird, it was probably sitting out for several hours. Kinda gross. The meat was extremely dry. Not worth the 85 dollars. The sides were good. Revising review because th
We decided to try Johnathan's The Rub because of Houston Restaurant Week. First Impression: Johnathan's is a nice restaurant. The bar area is nice, with granite counter tops with high back bar stools. The dining room is classy yet causal. We love the open concept cooking area.. We did not have a r
