I highly recommend this branch of Kura Revolving Sushi. I have eaten here on more than a dozen occasions and find the sushi is always fresh, consistent, well-priced, and appealing. I have yet to dislike, or consider any offering to be dry or poorly assembled. My tip would be to download the Kura app, as each visit builds points for future discounts. Note they have monthly limited-time additions to the menu that helps keep the variety interesting - highly recommended.

This is a great place to quickly get some good fresh sushi, Japanese soups, and Japanese sides. You can get table service but IMO counter service is the way to go. At the counter all of the various dishes rotate past you on an elaborate conveyor system. If you see anything you want, you just simply reach up, grab the food dish, raise slightly upwards to trigger the lid to lift, and then set the food plate in front of you.
If you don't see something that you want rotating around quickly enough for you, there is a touch operated menu screen above the conveyor system in front of you. Use it to order the foods you want and they will be promptly prepared and sent back exactly to your location on a reverse conveyor system immediately above the primary conveyor system.
Each dish contains from 2 to four pieces and costs between $3 and $4. The soups are good servings that cost around $4. There are a few desserts costing from $3 to $4.
There is also a variety of sodas and beers from which to choose for a beverage. An amusing novelty is that a robot will deliver your drink order to you.
Tallying the bill and paying is automated and relatively simple. You just insert the plates that you have taken into a slot located behind the counter where you are sitting. And the overhead touch screen lets you see you tab and pay with Google Pay, Apple Pay, or entering a credit or debit card number and authorization code.
The one detraction is the road construction currently taking place in front of the restaurant and to it's side on Holman Street. You can still easily navigate to the restaurant if you plan in advance to park in the Public Parking Garage which you access off Travis between Winbern and Holman. You can still walk out of the Holman Street exit of this garage to get to the restaurant.
Went here with my SO for a date night, and we loved it. The sushi and all the other dishes were actually very good quality--I'd place them on par with any other mid-range sushi place--but it isn't the main attraction here.
If you're interested in the conveyor belt sushi experience, I do think you'll enjoy this a lot--both that and the robot drink servers were very neat. I did also find that I was more apt to try new types of sushi when all I needed to do was take them from the belt. I found that the table, the belt, etc all seemed very clean and well-maintained.
It did take a little while for the host to get us seated, but once that was done everything was prompt and very enjoyable. The atmosphere is a bit noisy (between the hum of belt constantly running and a lot of other patrons) but not obnoxiously so.
This was my first time at a revolving sushi bar. The food was good, and the experience was positive overall. The conveyor belt aspect adds a fun dimension, and the smaller portions allow you the freedom to sample a lot of things. I also appreciated that you could place orders for your favorites or things that weren’t on the belt.
First time and I loved the concept and overall experience. I will say I did have a little difficulty getting the plates off the conveyor but other than that it was fun and filling. Buyer beware some of the sushi did look a bit not so fresh on the conveyor. While you can eat what comes on the conveyor you can also order directly on the key pad. We even won prizes for eating so much (sushi Lego set). Overall I love the idea and execution (especially the waiter robot!) will return parking is a bit pricey considering but overall cool experience.
I have been to many sushi train restaurant but this is one of a kind. This is basically an automated restaurant. You pick your food from a computer and you have a robot bring you your drinks. You clean your own plate and pick what you would like to eat. They have a conveyor belt to delivery to you the special item you order. What is cool!! is you get a toy from the toy machine after returning your empty plates. I have never seen anything like this. This must have been copy over from Japan. The technology used is just amazing.
The atmosphere alone is reason enough to visit the cute quaint spot. The sushi is good but every plate costs the same. Some are Worth it while some are not. So be mindful it's easy to rack up a bill if you don't paste yourself. Great for a date Night or to take your child if they love sushi, they'll be fascinated with the revolving bar and the robot waiter.
Neat place, robots bring your drinks, food goes around on a conveyor. Sushi was good but not the best I have had.
This was my first time here. Great service, even the cart that brings your drinks!! It was nice with the revolving 🍣. They had some nice selections if sushi is not your thing. Will most def be back!
Delicious! Love that you can check the food out before committing 💁♀️🍣🍱 This dessert pictured was AmAzIng btw. Warm soft bread and ice cream 😋 flavor was ineffable. They’ve added some cute lil robots that bring your your drinks as well. Love!
