Review Barnaby's Cafe - Houston

I could have easily given 3 stars based on the multiple mistakes made when ordering my meal which was the breakfast meal which I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon extra crispy and grits. My server brought out my plate with hash browns and no grits, plus no cheese on the eggs. She proceeded to return with cheese on the eggs and after asking the grits. Later on I realized my wheat toast was never bought out, so my waitress came back with it. My server was very friendly and kind, and the food was great. My waitress stated they had some new staff in the back, so I was cool about that. My lady had a side of chicken sausage which I tried and was great along with hash browns which she liked. The waitress later gave us a cookie and a rice crispy treat for the order issues and that was sincerely appreciated.

As always the food is solid and good. Haven't been here in a while and decided to go today. Warm and cozy environment, great service and honestly the BEST FRIES in Houston! We got meatloaf but the chicken mill valley is also one of my favs. They even can split the portions for you and know that the portions are HUGE!

Great spot to grab lunch with your doggies! Dogs are only allowed on the patio and there are only six tables. But even with minimal seating and prime lunch time on a Sunday, we were able to pick an open table right away. As soon as we sat, we were delivered two large water bowls (one for each of our dogs) how nice! Even though it was 92 degrees outside, it felt great on the patio because it’s perfectly shaded with trees and umbrellas. We ordered strawberry lemonades and the guacamole cheese burger with added bacon. The strawberry lemonade was delicious (and probably made with syrup) and we received frequent free top offs! The burgers were great and HUGE! After we managed to find a way to take our first bite, we both looked up and acknowledged its taste with a synchronized “this is great!”. And to finish it off, we got each of our pups a dog ice cream which is ice cream on a bone and the instant obsessive licking to the last bite showed us that they loved their food just as much as we loved ours!

Great staff, excellent digs and a chill vibe where you can bring your pupper and enjoy a bite. Place seems very family friendly and I can see why, excellent customer service only matched by a simple menu with easy food. This place is certainly being added to our local favorites list. Great job Barnaby’s! You’ve earned yourselves three new regulars.

I opted for a salad, while my husband indulged in a big cheeseburger, and we both left with contented appetites and even some leftovers for the next day. First and foremost, let's talk about the salad. The portion size was indeed impressive, offering excellent value for the price. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, with crisp lettuce, vibrant vegetables, and a delightful medley of flavors. The combination of different textures and the thoughtful arrangement of toppings made the salad both visually appealing and enjoyable to eat. The dressing provided a perfect balance, enhancing the overall taste without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients. I appreciated the fact that the salad was substantial enough to leave me satisfied without feeling overly stuffed. On the other hand, my husband's choice, the big cheeseburger, was a hearty and indulgent treat. The burger patty was juicy and cooked to perfection, nestled between two soft and toasted buns. The addition of melted cheese, fresh vegetables, and a tangy sauce elevated the classic burger experience. The portion size lived up to its name, ensuring that my husband's hunger was adequately satiated. It's worth noting that the accompanying side dish, whether it was fries or another option, perfectly complemented the burger and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. One aspect worth mentioning is the friendly and attentive service we received at Bernaby's Cafe. The staff members were courteous and prompt in taking our orders and ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It added to the overall positive dining experience and made us feel welcomed and valued as customers.

Excellent place to grab a healthy, delicious meal. Great atmosphere and very kind people working there. The best sandwiched I’ve ever had. Period. I strongly recommend their Pesto Chicken sandwich. Their Turkey Breast sandwich is also great.

Our first visit here and it won't be the last. The service, food, and atmosphere are amazing. You beat br hungry as the portions are generous.

We love this restaurant! We’ve been regular clients for three years now. It never disappoints. When we take our dogs, we sit out in the terrace which is lovely. If we don’t go with our dogs, we usually sit inside, which is also quite nice. Their menu is great. It’s really well-served. Everyone there is super friendly and nice.
