I recently dined here and I must say, it was a good experience. The ambiance was delightful, creating a perfect atmosphere for a memorable meal. The service was great with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome. The latte and food was pretty good and well presented. We celebrated a friends birthday and they brought a cotton candy tower in a big fancy cocktail glass as a celebration which was fun touch to overall experience. A great place for brunch or date.
It was one of those evenings where you could enjoy dining outside. Gratify has a great, heated outdoor patio that really topped off a really pleasant evening. We enjoyed oysters Rockefeller that were served piping hot. Next up was fish and chips that was also served hot with perfectly cooked fish with crispy fries that were tender and fluffy on the inside. The homemade tartar sauce was delicious!
Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had while visiting Houston! Great atmosphere, very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable servers and the food: wow! Try any of the fresh-made pasta dishes. And the spinach artichoke dip appetizer is incredible.
Great wine selection too.
Be sure to try the desserts! My wife had the key lime pie and I had the best ever bread pudding. Even if you’re not a bread pudding fan you’ll love this!
Suggest rideshare or walk to this restaurant since parking is tight in this area.
Very good atmosphere.
Attentive and friendly staff.
We visited on a Sunday, a little before 3 pm, and had the option of having brunch or dinner at that time since dinner started at 3 pm.
We started with East Coast oysters, raw. They were absolutely delicious. (Pricey, but worth the price for high-quality oysters)
And had a glass of wine each while enjoying the nice breezy weather outside.
My husband had steak and eggs served with tomatoes and hash browns. Everything was well cooked and he thouroughly enjoyed his meal.
I had the cheese ravioli and added grilled shrimp. I also enjoyed every bite.
The serving was just right.
Lastly, we had the bread pudding served with ice cream. They wrote happy birthday on the plate and brought out a cotton candy with a sparkler for my early birthday celebration.
Although I could not finish the cotton candy, it was a very fun and unique experience.
I recommend you try Gratify.
Brunch for 4. Easy self parking on a Friday at 11 am. Valet is also available. The atmosphere was very nice and they were surprisingly not crowded at all. This place should be packed. Service was excellent, they were very attentive and came to the table with great timing throughout the meal. Braised pork tacos were awesome, creme broule' French toast was very tasty and the BLT was on point as well. The side of breakfast sausage was not what was expected, tasted like burger meat with no seasoning. That was our only negative. We also had bread pudding and date cake for dessert and they both hit the completed the meal perfectly. It's a little pricey for brunch, but we all agreed it was worth it.
OVERALL: Great food and staff. Be sure to arrive a few minutes before the scheduled reservation because rice village is congested at times, and parking can be difficult.
Dress code: casual will do. But the place does have an upscale feel.
They have valet or self park. We arrived and there was ample seating. We asked our server questions, began ordering and then found out we were being joined by another couple. We asked our server to wait to put our order in until the other couple got there in a couple minutes. Unfortunately they served my French toast and my wife’s short rib ragu right as our friends got there. The French toast was dry with some fruit and butter on the side so I asked the food runner for syrup. It never came.
The reason it’s not 5 stars is I asked the server after asking the runner. I had to sit and wait for the server to bring the syrup for the French toast while I watched her take a drink order and stand at the bar chatting with another server while I was looking right at them. By the time I finally got the syrup my dish was almost cold.
We had another server check on us named Orlando! If I could give just him 5 stars I would. He was awesome.
My wife did end up sending back the ragu and getting the burger which was very good.
I think the team needs to regroup and commit to excellent service again. It’s not like the place was packed. So there was nothing really inhibiting the type of service this place is known for.
We have walked by this place several times and wondered if it was any good. Well, turns out it's pretty great! We decided to stop in as part of restaurant weeks. They're part of the same family as Coppa Osteria and the pasta you eat here actually comes from Coppa. The atmosphere on a Wednesday afternoon was very chill. Some folks coming in after work, groups of friends, and couples grabbing dinner. The food was all great, highly recommend the ceviche and crab cake. Astros game was playing at the bar and they won so that was awesome! The best part of the night was the manager. He was walking the floor and checking on all the tables to make everything was good. Very friendly and even cheered on the Astros with us. I would come back just for the excellent service!
Nice brunch spot. Had linguini and crab cakes. Both were delicious and flavourful. The highlight was the gaint martini glass of cotton candy for birthday celebration. Our waitress was amazing, which made the experience better.
The crème brûlée French Toast is the best of best. It is on brunch main dish section but we ordered it as a dessert and ordered the other two dishes omelette and the smoked salmon gravlax as main ones. I am glad that I made that decision because the French toast here is something that you don’t want to miss out. The French toast was served right out of the oven, it was golden brown and crispy outside and buttery and soft filled with creamy crème brûlée inside. It was very delicate and cooked to perfection, every single bite is enjoyable!
The service was great too! The waiter is attentive and friendly, making the whole dining experience very pleasant!
The only disappointment would be the smoked salmon gravlax. I planned to try that because I saw the picture from the restaurant website and it is colorful and looks quite substantial. But the actual food portion is smaller than the picture. We still got all the elements but some just a little of each. If you compare the portion we have with the picture that the restaurant provides or the photo that the customer uploaded months ago, you will see the difference. But anyway it is still delicious.
