I went for a birthday dinner, and the ambiance outside with the hanging light felt like a scene from the movies... the food was delicious the drinks were good and strong! For us to arrive later than our party, our wait was a little longer, but it was worth it.

We visited Federal for Father's Day this year. I've only had their food one time prior, which was takeout. The service was mostly positive. It was a little difficult to get attention while eating (refills and such) but our waitress was positive and friendly. The tables were a little too close to each other for true comfort. Was in the mood for a salad, which ended up being a little underwhelming. My parents enjoyed their chicken and steak. Parking is a hassle but they have valet. Overall, a nice experience. I would return and take a ride share.

This was our first time here, and it surely won’t be the last. We were warmly welcomed by at least three people upon walking in the door. The service was fantastic. Our server, Cody, made us feel like we were friends of his. He treated us as if we had been there 20 times before and already knew us. Then there’s the food. The food was well presented, piping hot, and delicious. Good menu selection as well. This is a great experience overall.

I enjoyed this place so much for brunch I went twice in 6 days! William is the best! Brunch is priced really good. I haven't eaten off regular menu though just brunch menu. On Sunday they have a deejay.

Must Try! Matt & Family are amazing and do a great job and have good inns heir heart. they give back to the community and offer some of the. best food in town. They are expanding into other states which kudos to you Matt a& Jen! Dave is also a big deal, have to mention him! I been a client since they had one location and will be one for life! They have always treated me like family and they are my family! - Great for business meetings!

It is like dining in a beautiful seaside house, but cozy enough that you can laugh out loud without feeling guilty. All the dishes we picked were tasty. The coffee was lovely and smooth.

We loved our experience here! The amazing staff, phenomenal food… Highly recommend The Federal to anyone looking for great service and fun atmosphere for a large group…. THIS IS THE PLACE! From the moment they opened the door and greeted our party of 10, to going above and beyond to make the birthday girl feel extra special, and even doing a whole photo shoot of our group after our meal, outside! We enjoyed it so much we came back this morning for brunch!! Received the exact same treatment!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. I am almost through their entire menu. I have tried everything on their brunch menu - and there is not one bad item. Choose one — you can’t go wrong. The same with their dinner menu.
The consistency of this restaurant. every single time that I go they get it right. The attention to detail is truly next level.
Ordering to go? It tastes the same as dining in. And their packaging is better than Steak48.
Hands down a must try.
