Escalante's

Only place we’ve found in Houston that has queso blanco. Their chips were fresh and the salsa had the right combination of flavors we like. They were so good. Service was attentive. Only tried one dish - shrimp empanadas and rice - but it was pretty tasty. Overall fresh with good quality ingredients. Even on a Friday night they had plenty of booths open and the restaurant was very clean and well- maintained. The dishes were a bit pricey but it’s understandable since the place had an upscale vibe.

I work in the area and frequent there for lunch. The entire staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Lisa works the bar and is often who I interact with on my lunch breaks — she is always incredible! She is always fast, polite, and fun to chat with. They seem to consistently take great care of their regulars😊

I came here after class one day just to get a quick bite and a drink. This is definitely going to be added to one of my go to spots for happy hour. When I came in it wasn't too busy and all the staff that greeted me was beyond friendly. I sat at the bar and the bartender Lisa greeted me. She was amazing!! I initially did not know what to get as I had never been here before so I asked for recommendation. I was undecided between the queso and beef nachos to which she recommended the beef nachos. From there she asked if I wanted anything to drink and I told her I normally drink skinny margs! Lisa ensured me that she could make me one as well. To say it was good is an understatement! I love it. Not sure what special touch she might of added it was amazing. Ask for Lisa if at the bar!! Overall, I had an amazing snack and drink here. I will definitely be back with some girlfriends for a nice happy hour girl day.

Wonderful encounter. Excellent service, ambiance, and cuisine. I've been here several times, and each time is a truly wonderful experience. The cuisine is usually excellent, so I bring my out-of-town guests here every time. Lisa’s exceptional level of customer service and attention to detail was a plus. She did not hesitate to meet all of our needs even though we were a large party. Without a doubt Escalante’s has made a lifelong customer!

Lisa at Escalante's Fine Tex-Mex & Tequila provided an exceptional experience with her outstanding service and skillful mixology. Her attention to detail and ability to craft the perfect drinks tremendously enhanced my experience!! I highly recommend her for anyone looking to savor both excellent service and delightful beverages. Aside from Lisa’s top-notch service and masterful drinks, the food was bomb! Now back to Lisa, her inviting personality made the dining experience truly memorable, solidifying her as my go-to bartender. The combination of great food and exceptional service makes Escalante's a standout choice.

Pleasant lunch atmosphere and I was able to get a table for one immediately during Friday lunch. Portobello veggie fajitas has lots of flavor and the three flour tortillas that came with it were definitely homemade fresh. Finishing up with an espresso was a good suggestion from my server. I highly recommend.

Drinks are good and well priced… huge portion of fajitas and only two flour tortillas offered… kinda odd. I loved the beans and rice on the side through! Good service and many refills until the end of the meal. I can’t say I’d go again but it’s a nice place and worth a try for someone who loves Tex-Mex!

Super delicious! Definitely recommend and definitely going back! I tried this place for the first time on Valentine’s day and it was a great choice! We were seated fast, friendly staff, everything came at a timely manner, food was amazing and flavorful, I had a dirty martini drink as well and it was very smooth easy to sip and made just right. If you have not gone here yet and you’re wondering if its a good choice, it is!! They have variety in food and what I did to try out different flavors instead of getting one plate I chose three different appetizers and I am happy I made this choice. It gives you a glimpse of the flavors of different food types that are the base/included in mostly every plate in the menu. If you are a first timer try an appetizer and go from there because you can’t go wrong with any of them!
