Star Pizza is my go-to deep dish spot in Houston and has been for a long time.
It has a comfortable, cozy restaurant vibe and has consistently delivered great service and excellent food. While I have tried some of their pasta dishes and really enjoyed them. my go-to order for the table is a Caesar

The Ben's pizza is delicious. The chicken garlic pesto sandwich had lots avocado and melty cheese. Update 8/5/23 The crust didn't taste as good. I don't know if it's still a honey wheat crust or just wheat. Some of my husband's ingredients didn't taste so fresh. He said it tasted like refrigerator
Garlic bread was great along with the penne Alfredo and good portion size. The deep dish starburst was really good as well. Next time going to have to try the dessert pizza as looked amazing. Friendly service as well. Lunch special is good deal.

I really enjoyed my experience here. I was greeted by almost all, and my weight person was attentive. Our food came out promptly, and it tasted pretty good. I had the starburst pizza. It was tasty but lacked just a little contrast in flavor. Would return and do recommend.
