Barbecue Inn - Houston - Photo album

I have been eating here for over 50 years and it’s as good or better than it’s ever been. Food is delicious. I normally come for the fried chicken, which nationally know for but today it was seafood. Fried shrimp and a stuffed crab. Service was great and Houston is lucky to have the wonderful family
This is a great little restaurant with big portions of food. It is more of a local cafe than a BBQ joint. They have all types of great food choices from BBQ to chicken fried steak to salads. I had the ribs and they were great. The service was perfect. We will go back again
I can honestly say that Barbecue Inn is a very unique family friendly restaurant in a part of Houston that you just wouldn’t expect to find it. It has that southern feel and hospitality that you might expect out in the country. All of the staff were super nice and very welcoming. We didn’t have to
The fried chicken is a must! I’ve also had the cheeseburger, the ribs and shrimp appetizer. All great southern comfort food from this neighborhood gem.
We have been back two more times now, the same waitress waits on us and she's sweet as can be 🤗 and the chicken fried steak is amazing!! You can cut it with a plastic fork it's so tender, but still crispy outside of course. I literally cut it with a plastic fork seriously. But of an older crowd usua
Felt like a trip to the past. Great food, excellent service and nice atmosphere. It was worth the hour drive!!
My meal was outstanding. The homemade thousand dressing was top notch. The chicken was outstanding. The kitchen messed up my order. Took long time to come out. My waitress stayed on top of this. The owner covered my meal. Outstanding service and took the extra mile to please this customer. Bravo
Great lunch with a friend that has eaten here for over 40 years. This was my first time to eat there and will definitely have more visits in the future. Such an incredible dining experience from a simplier time....Great staff! Wonderful and pleasant waitress that waited on us. Very relaxing and quit
If you are looking for food that reminds you of old fashioned home cooking, this is the place. The absolute best ranch dressing, homemade cocktail sauce and service.
Nice quiet restaurant. Definitely a favorite among long time customers. Food was cooked to order and was fresh. Lovely long time waitresses. Teresa was so nice and attentive. Very family oriented. A little disappointed with the Chicken Fried Steak. Many reviews rated the Chicken Fried Steak as excel
Good old southern cookin' kind of place. Fried chicken from scratch, chicken fried steak, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, boiled green beans, etc. I had the fried shrimp with green beans and cold slaw. It was great. Our waitress was super nice and very attentive. Bathroom was clean and overall the
This place is always awesome. Typically I get, everything, because it's all good! They have a relatively small menu but several items available different ways. Some of my favorites and the Chicken Fried Steak, Fried Shrimp, Stuffed Crab, Cheese Burger, Any of the BBQ Plates, French Fries, Potato Sal
This review is for Monika, our server, who was the best server we had in our three weeks in the USA. Just the right level of friendliness and checking in, without being too pushy. Would give her ten stars if possible. The food was good too, especially the cheesecake.
I got the 3 meat plate. Brisket, pork, and ribs with 2 sides. Place is strait out of the 70"s-80's. What I remember cafes looked liked as a kid. There's a faint smell of cigarette smoke and damp carpet. Wood paneling on walls old pictures of Houston/Astrodome hanging. Look like they have loyal custo
This restaurant has been around since the 1940s. We were told that their fried chicken was out of this world and we were not disappointed. I had the dark meat, chicken salad and mashed potatoes. Prices were very fair the way staff was friendly and helpful. Even the owner popped over and said hello.
Service was nice and prompt and the food was pretty good. Ribs were a little more lean than I like, but still flavorful. Fried chicken was nice and crispy! Even after sitting there for several minutes, I bit into the chicken and it was still hot and steaming on the inside! I read that BBQ Inn has be
Literally the BEST FRIED SHRIMP I think I have ever had. Their baked potatoes are baked right meaning the skin is nice and clean and soft and delicious to eat too. I hate dried out potato skin. The service was EXCELLENT. They treat you like family. Looking forward to going back. Thank you.
