Cleburne's is a high end Piccadilly cafeteria without being high end in the pricing. I ordered to go but still looked around the place and will be back for a sit-down lunch! I had the chicken fried steak, mac and cheese and corn. I also had country gravy on the side. Everything was lightly seasoned
Food is delicious and homemade style. Great service and atmosphere. I personally enjoy the turkey plate with all of the trimmings. Sides are great especially the spinach casserole & the mushrooms. Not having been to Cleburnes since it was rebuilt after the fire years ago, I was looking forward to seeing if I would enjoy it as much. It is definitely still the Cadillac of cafeterias.

Luby’s move aside. This iconic establishment prices are slightly higher that other similar eateries, but worth it. It is clean, well designed and the food like grandmas. Portions are big. Highly satisfied. When it comes for desserts, great variety.

Fantastic food! So many choices. Chicken fried chicken is excellent. Squash casserole is incredible. Turkey and dressing is the best! And don’t forget the desserts—they are wonderful and huge!
Prices are at the higher end but they serve authentic Texan food. My favorite dessert is their Italian cream cake with pecans. Their iced tea is good too.
