Gumbo Jeaux's - Houston - Photo album

The food was really good. I gave a 4-star rating because of the catfish. It's not farm raised catfish, wasn't expecting swai. Other than that, the rest of the food was great.
Fried catfish and gumbo, look no more. It’s delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is perfect for comfort food.
The food is freshly prepared! We ordered smothered catfish and seafood platter! The gumbo rice was so good!! The french fries that comes with the platter is on point! Catfish and shrimps were fried well! The iced tea was also nice. We are satisfied but the wait was abit longer even at 4pm! So be pre
Always a great place to grab lunch. That said; portions are half of whet they were pre pandemic.
I would recommend this location for a lunch time visit. I came by this location as a result of a recommendation from the local hotel. We walked to this location and found the restaurant with a few people already seated inside eating...a good sign since it was lunch time. We immediately located the s
The place was clean… the pasta was great! Very flavorful and filling… very saucy… the fried fish and shrimp were great… the gumbo tho… meh :/ The flavors were there but the roux was thin and watery…. More like a soup… definitely not giving what it’s supposed to give… I’ve seen several complaints on
The dishes here were soul-food style Cajun/Creole. Catfish especially was cooked perfectly and quality of food was great. I also liked the wide selection of hot sauces they had. However, if you are dining in, it is a pretty small dining area and gets very loud.
Delicious Fire Cracker Salmon Sandwich is what makes me Always visit Gumbo Jeaux. Overall hole in the wall restaurant but delicious seafood platter options. Definitely try if you’re in the JFK Airport area
A simple Cajun place. The gumbo is yummy and leave a deep flavour on your taste buds. The blacken fish and vegetables are grilled perfectly
Small spot but the fish was better than pappadeauxs
This is not a fancy place but definitely a local favorite- the staff were friendly -you order ,pay, pickup, and seat yourself. The Cajun and Creole menu has a nice variety. The prices are reasonable, and the Food delicious!! My family of 3 ate for $ 50.00 - our appetizer was Boudin Balls with Jumbo
