My parents hosted my graduation brunch here in May and it was amazing! We dined on the patio which was a little hot (obviously it was Texas in May). However Ousies was the only decent restaurant that would accommodate such a large party w/o split checks or any other ridiculous requirements. Our server was awesome! He handled our party with care and kindness! Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks! I had a blast celebrating my accomplishment and I could not have done it w/o Ousies willingness to help! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!!!
Service is always extraordinary!! Extremely friendly & accommodating!!! Beautiful setting. Great atmosphere!! The best for last, incredible, palate pleasing, most exquisitely prepared creations from the tiny corn bread muffins, mouthwatering entrees, the best mashed potatoes!!! Ouisie’s staff always goes above & beyond to make your dining experience the absolute best!!
This Houston gem is so good and so worthy of all these five-star reviews! From the speedy valet and friendly hostess to excellent service all through brunch, this was a top-notch experience. Without question, the best crab cakes we've ever had and totally without the occasional crunch of a missed bit of shell that plagues a lot of crab dishes. Delicious hummus and redfish, and cornmeal pancakes that reminded me (favorably) of skillet corncakes my grandmother used to make. Carey's service was just right: attentive and warm without being intrusive. Also, we listened as he patiently and kindly walked a very high-maintenance table behind us through a truly ridiculous number of questions about dessert...with the tray of desserts sitting right there. (How many items are on the sampler dessert platter? How big are the samples? Is the sampler the same price as a single regular portion? Calories per sample? Could this or that be changed? Etc. Just order the d*mn dessert already!) After almost 20 minutes of debate, they did not order dessert and asked for separate checks. Carey was so gracious and smiling all the way. Bravo! If you're looking for amazing Southern dishes with coastal flair, this is your place. Creative cocktails and refreshing mocktails too.
We came here for a group dinner. We had the restaurant week menu which had a little something for each person- vegetarian option, seafood option, and meat option. My app and entree were both a bit salty for me though. I think given the limitations of restaurant week, they did a decent overall job. The service was great.
Just plain old, good, southern, comfort food. Incredible fried oysters followed, by a wonderful meatloaf, and a delicious carrot cake. What else could you ask for?

Went with the family on a Sunday. Parking was easy to find, place wasn’t too busy and was very clean.
Staff was extremely polite and professional.
The brunch menu offered your standard choices with a few unique dishes to try.
Our table was mixed on the food. Half felt the food was good but could have more flavor and half felt the food was absolutely great.
Prices were fair for the serving sizes and great atmosphere, definitely recommend trying it out if you’re looking for a new brunch spot to try out.
First of all Eric was my server who was so clean and sharp with the biggest smile and gave the most memorable service i could have received. Thank you Ouisie's and thanks for making the night a special one. I most definitely recommend.
We just had a party here this past weekend and it did not disappoint! The party was in the Alsey's Nest room. This room sat my party of 22 comfortably and there is a little outdoor area you can mingle or like us take photos. Restaurant was super accommodating seeing how I booked less than 7 days before the party. I was able to bring in my own decor. Food was delicious. Everyone said they enjoyed their meal.
The real winner here was the servers, Jessie and Kerri. They were TOP NOTCH!! From the moment we arrived they were beyond helpful and even offered us drinks right away. They helped us setup decor on the table and honestly anything and everything. They were also so polite to me and everyone in my party.
My only little complaint is paying for tables. I just feel unless you are doing round table (out of the ordinary) there is no reason we should get charged for tables and linens when they are easily provided in the regular dining area. Now if you want something different than the standard I can see the upcharge. But it also isn't a deal breaker when everything else went right.
Will definitely be back!
I was treated to lunch on a weekday at this wonderful restaurant. It wasn't too crowded and the waiter was attentive but unobtrusive. I had a delicious mojito, mini muffins, broccoli soup, a crab cake, and scallops. The three small complimentary muffins were very good, the broccoli soup had a good flavor but was a little on the thin side, the crab cake was good but otherwise unremarkable and the scallops were excellent. The scallops were served with mashed sweet potatoes and crisp green beans, both of which were very good. I was too full for dessert. My companion had tacos which he said were very good.
Our table was near the door to the patio and every time the door opened I got chilled. I don't know why they would seat us near the door when the restaurant was not very busy, plus we had reservations. The tables had crisp white linens but the hard wood chairs did not encourage lingering.
This restaurant was about an hour from my house and while it was a mostly enjoyable experience, I don't think I will fight the traffic to visit again.
Beautiful place to enjoy an unforgettable dinner. The trout was spectacular. The very best fried chicken you can feast on between Tucson and Houston. Beautiful setting, gracious staff. Not to be missed.
I came to this restaurant for the recent Orin Swift wine dinner. For the evening, Ouisie’s took the time to craft a food tasting menu and paired the plates with bottles of Orin Swift wine. It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter, learning, and entertainment. There was even an opportunity to win a bottle of wine! The staff was attentive, patient and kind throughout the entire evening. I would definitely recommend attending one of their events the next time you are able.
We visited this restaurant during our 3rd anniversary, and just loved the food and the ambience. I tried the wild Boar entree and it was delicious.
The place is suitable if you're looking for a nice quiet dinner.
