We loved every second of our time there and weâre definitely going back. And the food is amazing. So if youâre thinking about a date night or a first date itâs definitely the place to go to.

Very, very good. Atmosphere very pleasant. We sat out on the patio. Service was excellent. Food portions were such that you can order an appetizer, entree and share a dessert for the perfect fullness. We ordered the deviled eggs (forgot to take a pic), filet, red snapper with saffron aioli and ravioli. My husband switched out the potatoes for creamed spinach and they were divine. I would have ordered dessert but we were in a hurry. (The hazelnut gateau looked amazing.)

We went here for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The duck, lamb chop, and octopus were all good. My wife usually doesn't like the taste of lamb but she enjoyed the lamb chop here. I personally liked the duck the most The duck skin was nicely seared and well marinated. Very nice atmosphere and great for dating as well.

Anniversary dinner date night for the wife and I so we tried as many different things as 2 people could try. The spot is very nice and superbly decorated. Location is hot so if youâre not dressed up nice donât go, youâll definitely feel out of place.

Beefs are awesome, other plates look great as well. All dessert options were good, just an advice the Crème DâOrange Caramel were a bit too sweet, but the Gâteau Marjolaine and the Apple Tart Breton were a majestic close to our dinner. Service was at the level of the restaurant!

Fantastic food , presentation and service. Probably one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. The owner is super friendly, this isn't a great location in Houston. I highly recommended. Has two floors, and an outdoor patio as well.

Very deserving restaurant where everyone make you feel VIP. The owner and the staff always accommodate the way you like to be and treat you very special. The food and wine selections are ample. I like the overall atmosphere and very selective clients. Special place to have a fine dining. Always reserved in advance for best seating .

I walked into La Table and noticed the inside and outside patio sitting area. The manager at the door was very helpful, kind, and quick to make a joke - The first star. I chose to sit at the bar, where Damion, the bartender helped me determine my drink and gave me the lunch menu. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and told me that the menu just changed. We talked a little about restaurant week - The second star. I decided on the salmon and crème brÝlÊe for dessert.
The salmon was top tier, one of the absolute best I have had in Houston, the flavors were captured perfectly and the side vegetables went well with the main dish - The third star.
The crème brÝlÊe was good, a nice caramel top with orange slices and orange peel. The crème part was amazing, made me float on the air.
The inside seating area and music playing was great. All of this created a great atmosphere. And the staff worked together to handle large orders and other team needs. These two together gives my fourth star.
My final star comes from the excellent customer service that they displayed to not only me, but all of their guests.
I will be returning to La Table.

I took my girlfriend here as a top off to the end of her birthday week. It was a new venue to me (I had previously dined at Phillipe several times) so I wanted to try the new food and experience the new ambiance. Our waiter was very friendly and brought us drinks that were very good.
We moved on to the dinner menu. I had a strong taste for steak and my GF had a hankering for lobster. Our waiter teased us with the possibility of making a surf and turf plate. Something told me to ask him for the most popular dinner. He immediately smiled and told us about the whole chicken meal that one could carve with a spoon. He said it sold out just about every night. We had to try it.
When the food arrived, the presentation was excellent. The chicken was very tender and carved with a spoon. Tasting the chicken, however, was underwhelming. It had no taste and no flavor. We were expecting something remarkable. Fail. Even after adding the special kosher salt that was recommended, it did little to add any flavor or bring out any latent treasures. The side dish of mashed potatoes? Also a fail with no flavor. We were a bit shocked.
For dessert, it was chocolate souffle. Again, highly recommended. It was less than impressive even though it was executed correctly without dropping.
Truly, more needs to be done with the food here to justify another visit and to justify its considerable cost. We had good service and good drinks, but when you go to a La Table, one expects a truly amazing culinary experience.

I would NOT recommend BREAKFAST at La Table. The place was lovely & the people were nice but the menu is limited, the food is little to be desired & our server was nice but absentminded. He got 3 out of 4 orders wrong & we kept having to remind them to bring out the rest of our food. The place was not packed. There were maybe 6 tables filled that Sunday morning.
My husband ordered their breakfast sandwich with no cheese. They brought it with no cheese & bacon. Only egg & bread. They apologized & brought it back with a few slices of bacon. $12 for 2 slices of bread w scrambled eggs & bacon. No fruit or anything else on the side. He also ordered a chocolate croissant.
My daughter ordered their oatmeal. $10. They forgot to give her the fruit that came with it. We had to ask for a spoon & the fruits. And she got a cinnamon roll.
I ordered a cappuccino. The waiter brought a latte instead. I ordered their yogurt granola parfait $5. They forgot my spoon too & my pastry that I had ordered. Had to remind them of that too.
The only person that got his order right was my son who got the Egg Carnitas.
Our breakfast cost over $80. The atmosphere was beautiful but I could not deal w an absent minded waiter & mediocre food.
I was told lunch & dinner is good. I may come back & try that but never breakfast again.

I've been many times to La Table...for brunch and for dinner and for drinks.
Always excellent quality...service and food/drinks. And, beautiful decor and setting.
And, now, just recently...to top it all off..the best...live music on the renovated patio.
Highly recommend.
It's my current favorite Houston restaurant.

Every time I'm here I'm delighted anew. From the bar staff, the hostesses, the management team... every detail is flawlessly executed. AND they have fresh in house delectables from the chocolate shop I'm a fan girl for, Cacao & Cardamom?! I DIE! I've had the asparagus risotto twice (OMG! I dream about it), the mushroom flatbread (delicious and flavorful) & the tomato basil flatbread (absolutely perfect. Light & delish). The wine selection is absolutely fantastic... many interesting choices off the beaten path and a knowledgeable staff to point you in the right direction. All this AND live music, too?! I can't wait to go back! Keep it up, La Table! Houston is so lucky to have such an elegant yet unpretentious French-cafe-modeled eatery in it!

Very disappointed with everything. Horrible service. Reservations were made weeks in advance, and yet when we arrived they had us seated at a high top table in the Bar. I cannot sit at a high top table due to physical issues. Explained this to the staff and they gave us the option of sitting outside on the patio in the Houston HEAT after thunderstorms all day, so the humidity was very high and uncomfortable. This was a romantic birthday dinner that was anything but romantic or even celebratory. There were several low top tables available being saved for a 8:00 reservation, ours was for 7:30. My girlfriend was visibly upset, crying, and NO ONE bothered to try to make the situation right. The food was fine, but who can really tell when you are sweating bullets, swatting bugs, and trying to talk over the patio band. Hated that I had to spend lots of money for a disaster of a birthday dinner. Lastly, the waiter Never told us about the souffle, which of course had to be ordered with dinner or else we had to wait another 30 minutes in the stifling heat. If you decide to go, make sure you will be seated inside at a table that is suitable for your ability. Very disappointed.

First time here. Food was deliciously prepared. Cheese plate was delicious. Bronzini yum. Service wAs good but I find the accommodations a bit tight which affected the service. We will go back and maybe sit on patio.

Itâs a well decorated restaurant but I wouldnât recommend for brunch. Food choice was very limited, long wait on the food, taste was ok. Overall itâs not worth the price.

I always find something that could be better, could be tastier, staff could be more attentive, well.... last night was not like that! I was speechless, perfection is the only thing i can think of!
