What an awesome place! The seafood platter is more than any grown man could finish by himself. I highly recommend. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and the food is definitely fresh!
I absolutely Love Pappadeaux's I have been to three different locations and the service and food was top notch at all three. My favorite dish is the lump crab cakes. Yesterday I had the fried crab fingers for the first time and they were delicious! We also had stuffed shrim, stuffed crab and fried catfish! Everything was amazing! The host are always polite and attentive. Thank you Pappadeux for excellent food and superb service!
Delicious
I had the ginger glazed salmon and it was the best salmon that I have ever had. It was a large portion of fish. Great service
Great staff
We were in town for a conference and had our 9 month old with us. The staff were great with him, and very forgiving when he kept pushing the high chair away from the table and into their walkway. Plus the food is always amazing! Can’t go wrong here!
Outstanding food and great service
One of my favorite seafood restaurant with some unique dishes. Definitely select some raw oysters to start and they have an outstanding wine list. Great for special occasions or family dining.
Our family went here for lunch. We were a large table and they were very accommodating. We had a large Greek salad that we shared, several dozen oysters, grits and bisque. All of it was very good. We plan on returning to try other dishes. The waiter was outstanding!
As soon as you walk toward the restaurant, the music and atmosphere takes you to another place in time. The food is fantastic, with the seafood and Cajun offerings, and the praline cheesecake is the best! Our service was awesome, and although it was a Saturday night, the restaurant was packed but they were able to accommodate large and small groups. Seating at the bar was available as well. We flew in that day from CA and are making this place our go-to when in Houston!
Over the past two decades, I've eaten at Pappadeauxs in Dallas, Austin, Fort Worth & now Houston. This one was right across the street from Minute Maid Stadium, so it would make a great place to catch a bite before a game. The menu staples have remained the same & I was glad to see that they still stocked their Seafood Fondue as an appetizer, blackened fish main dishes, and great Happy Hour specials. This chain never disappoints over the past 20 years in four cities.
The menu is a little condensed compared to other locations and the atmosphere is different as well.
However, they make up for it in portion size, and taste. The staff was very nice. The food was on point. We had Alligator bites for appetizers. We had Rainbow Trout & Shrimp (Pan-grilled, seared shrimp, honey glazed carrots, lemon butter) & Atlantic Salmon Alexander with (blackened shrimp, scallops & crawfish in a white wine cream sauce, with dirty rice) with house salads for main course.
Then we had Key Lime Pie (In a graham cracker pecan crust) for dessert.
This place is fantastic! The service was amazing. Very fast, attentive, and polite. We got the calamari for an appetizer and it was a great portion for 2 people. Then I got the crispy salmon and jumbo crab entree and it was spectacular! A little spicy but absolutely delicious. We also had plenty of food to take home for round 2! It was pretty cold inside but that's my only complaint. Other than that it was a 10/10. Highly recommend!
I dined in this Evening and was promptly seated then greeted by a very pleasant waiter named Floyd. He has a very pleasant personality and he was very attentive. He ensured I had everything that I needed. The establishment itself was very clean, including the ladies room. Upon my exit,on of the waitresses held the door open for me.
I was extremely impressed with this restaurant! Reservations are highly recommended to avoid a wait. The service is amazing, and it takes a while to get your food because it is made to order. We enjoyed everything we ate, outstanding detail to flavors. It is on the pricy side, a crab cake was $35, however, it was completely worth the money. We will definitely be returning anytime we are in TX.
The food was awesome but their menu is abridged at this location. They offer rich savory flavor profiles that pair well with signature selections from their bar. Great place for an amazing dinner before a game or show at the Toyota center across the street.
We dined here tonight with a group of my colleagues. The food was excellent but the wait time to get in was not so great. I ordered the shrimp brochette and it was delicious. Highly recommend this place!
Still a good place for a good homelike food. The gumbo really rich and flavourful. The blackened catfish as well, the environment is buzzing all day, staff attentive... just a nice place to go eat and drink and have some good time,
Let me introduce you to "Pappadeaux Lite." You can get some of the main items of Pappadeauxs, but you can't get everything.
They don't offer bread, lunch menu, or happy hour. Hence the name "Pappadeaux Lite."
The sevice was good and the food was good but just wasn't the Pappadeaux I expected.
The fried food is okay, nothing to brag about, but the price is inflated for such common food. And for this location, parking is an issue and unless you get lucky, you'd have to park blocks away for decent and cheap parking.
The tilapia at the restaurant was exceptional, deserving a perfect 10/10 rating. Cooked to perfection, it had a delicate and crispy exterior with tender, moist flesh inside. The flavors were balanced, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was excellent, making it a must-try dish for seafood lovers.
