I went on 2 separate occasions.
My first time I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas in tomatillo sauce. They serve the enchiladas with a side of Spanish rice and pinto beans including; a side of fresh chopped lettuce and diced tomatoes.
The food was good but not the best I've had.
On my second visit, I decided to build my own nachos.
I was very pleased with the portions and the taste of the food. I also ordered the cucumber lemonade and it was out of this world! Def recommend the build your own option and try the lemonades they have instead of the soft drinks.
Service was great on both visits.
My fave place to go. Best nachos ever . Took my bestie and she liked the food too.
The food was fresh and tasty. Be careful with the jalapeños because they are 🔥🔥. That’s how I knew everything was freshly made. The staff were helpful with placing my order but somewhat hard to understand. The esthetics was similar to a sports bar with the lighting and tvs. It’s a cozy spot with good food. It’s in the museum district so I was able to get parking right across the street from the restaurant. If you are doing a pick up order I would advise on trying to find street parking because you will pay regular price in the garage even if it’s a short time. The parking is tied to your vehicle license plate as soon as you enter the garage and is all digital through scanning a QR code or the app.
Stopped in around 8:30PM after being dragged through the art museums. I was starving and wanted a good meal... I was not disappointed. I had the fish tacos combo, and I was very pleased with the portion size for the price. The fish fillets were large and cooked nicely. I would definitely recommend, $11 for some really great fish tacos.
I also tried a little of the plantains, they were really good as far as plantains go! Same with the pulled pork.
Stepping into Bodegas Taco Shop felt like entering a culinary haven. The inviting atmosphere and warm smiles from the staff set the stage for a wonderful dining experience.
The star of the show, undoubtedly, were the tacos, and of course, lots of toppings and salsas. A creative twist into traditional Mexican fare, creating a fusion of familiar and new tastes.
Bodegas is at the top of my list of regular spots and I will be sharing with all my friends and family!
Mexican cuisine with a contemporary flair, this place is an absolute must-visit. 🌮🎉
Being my first time here, I asked what they recommended. Enchiladas! So I ordered chicken enchiladas and they were delicious and loaded with flavor. I loved the way the beans were seasoned, but they could have cooked just a bit longer. Although I didn't love the texture, the taste was good.
There is seating both inside and outside. I thought the inside was quite cozy, a nice place to sit and eat, especially when it's super hot outside like today. It felt wonderful walking inside the restaurant!
However, I was disappointed with the service. When a customer is alone and tells you it's their first time to visit, make them feel welcome. Show them where to order, where to pay, where to get the drinks. If they look a bit confused, don't make them have to ask, just be friendly and courteous and tell them or show them.
There was no one in front of me or behind me. I was the only customer in line, however, somehow I felt like I was a burden, like they had other things to do and needed to get me through there quickly. I doubt this was intentional, but always be aware of how you treat people and how you make them feel. Something as simple as a smile and a friendly word can have such a huge impact. By the same token, making them feel unseen, unnoticed, or not worth your time also has an impact.
Be the reason someone smiles today. ❤️
Easy lunch stop after a museum visit. Chicken enchiladas were satisfying. Took advantage of the to go margarita as I planned to continue walking around the area.
I enjoy everytime i get to come here. Idk who all knows but the winhs are freaking awesome!!! My wife loves the flautas although last night she found a gristle in one of them never happens but it didnt mess up our night love the frozen margaritas but a bit over prived should definitely be 5$ at all times
Stopped by this gem in the Museum District because it's in the same building as my doctor's office. The chicken tinga breakfast tacos were delicious, not to mention stuffed so full they could barely fold. A real bargain, considering I was able to get 2 tacos plus a large coffee for under ten dollars. The only negative element to the experience was that they had no wifi for customers. To get some remote work in before setting the doctor, I had to use my phone as a Hotspot. Please consider customer wifi, Bodegas! Recommended highly for good food and atmosphere, but not great for remote workers.
My experience here was good their enchiladas were my fav!Meat was well seasoned and fresh! Cute spot! Was greeted at the door by amazing welcoming worker. I will definitely be back for more enchiladas soon.
My go to spot for nachos. These are honestly the best nachos I’ve ever had which is why I go here quite often. The nachos are pretty cheap IMO and the portion is pretty big. I like how you are able to customize the nachos and put whatever toppings you’d like. Their chocolate cake is also a must, it is so light and delicious.
Ummmm, yes, please! Our first visit to this spot and it was really good. I got the rotisserie chicken enchiladas, and my husband got the fajita steak. We were both pleased and pleasantly surprised with the first bite of food. The salsa on my enchiladas had a nice kick to it and was tasty. Although the cup for the rice and beans seemed very small, it was actually a perfect portion. The rice and beans alone were kinda bland, but mix in a bit of the salsa from the enchiladas, and they are back on top. So I would say try this place at least once and decide for yourself. We went on a Sunday around lunch time, and it was not very busy at all.
