Review Cafe Caspian - Houston

I really like the ambience and exotic decorations of this Pakistani restaurant that I heard about a long time ago. It's my first time here. The tablecloths have a unique design. The hummus is creamy and the combination with radishes and naan bread gives it a unique texture. The lamb leg stew is tender and goes perfectly with the rice.

Dear foodie readers, it’s been a few minutes since I have done a review…I hope you didn’t miss me too much…we were in the area, and were craving the spices of Iran. I have not been in over ten years…so I think it has been remodeled, because I don’t remember all the authentic details they have sprinkled all over…it’s a very cozy atmosphere, I loved it. The server was so welcoming, and extremely friendly…the complimentary cheese and bread is always so good…I then ordered the eggplant appetizer, this is where my stars went down a bit, I found it a bit too thick for my palette…I didn’t enjoy that, but then my gourmet Sabzi came out, and that was excellent..the rest of the fam enjoyed their food as well… they also have a fabulous party room….

Cafe Caspian is a delightful Persian restaurant that offers an authentic and satisfying dining experience. The atmosphere exudes a sense of family and comfort that's hard to find elsewhere. Their family-style meals are a standout, offering an opportunity to taste a range of flavors. We decided on the combo plate, which featured chicken, shrimp, and kefta kababs. Each kabab was expertly cooked, the meat tender and full of flavor, creating a symphony of taste in every bite. The choice of the Javaher Polow and Sabzi Polow rice dishes turned out to be an excellent decision. The Javaher Polow, with its mix of jewel-toned barberries, carrots, and nuts, was a colorful delight while the Sabzi Polow offered a refreshing green blend of herbs that complemented the kababs perfectly. Cafe Caspian is a delightful destination for anyone seeking to explore Persian cuisine. With its excellent dishes, warm atmosphere, and impressive service, it promises a memorable culinary journey.

I have visited many Persian restaurants as my friend of Iran introduced me to Persian cuisine many years ago and I love the food. The service here was great, friendly and responsive. Our server was available and attentive. The restaurant was decorated nicely, many decorations, paintings, tapestries that gave it a very authentic look. Food. The lavash bread served here was excellent, we also ordered the Mast-O Moist which was good. Other restaurants I have ordered this the shallots are more pronounced, not here, but tasty. The bread is made on site, brought to the table warm and, wow, best part of the meal. I ordered the Koobideh which came with two skewers with basmati rice and grilled tomato with onion and a pepper. The rice was good, well prepared. The disappointment of the meal was the Koobideh. Sorry to say that it tasted like a overcooked hamburger patty. It is ground beef of course, but compared to the best koobideh I have had, it was way off. Maybe the beef, the seasoning used, or way it was cooked compared to other koobideh I have had, I don't know, but I can't recommend the Koobideh based on what I was served. I would give the Koobideh two stars of five. Overall 4 of 5 stars based on service, atmosphere, bread served, and the price of the meal. Would like to come back and try a different dish sometime.

Had the chance to try out this gem out. I was extremely good. Loved all the flavors and tastes to the dishes. Portions were large. Menu had a lot of options. Food was delicious 🤤 still craving it this morning. Great Persian restaurant, For sure will come back to try the other dishes. Loved the kebab and Kashk-e bademjan so much 😍❤️🤤 The ambiance was well designed. The staff service was absolutely amazing. The tables and booths have options for large groups. Good for families. Very clean. Has a huge parking lot. Reservation is not required.

A friend of mine brought me some food today for lunch from this place and I couldn't eat til I got home for dinner. I reheated the food and it was so good. I can only imagine what the food would of been like if it were fresh.

Food is amazing and consistent. Service was great. I love that they serve coffee. The ambient lighting and just the whole environment is very immersive. If it’s your 1st time here try the beef Koobideh, it’s delicious.

Visited this place with family after my friends told me about it multiple times. It is a 50 minute drive from our house. Our first Persian restaurant visit - turned out to be the best surprise for flavor full food. Loved the choice on the menu - the waiter did a good explaining the options and got it to us in family style, i.e. all the food we ordered in one big plate so we can serve ourselves from there. Felt very homely and the flavors were fantastic. A good choice of vegetarian food and starters were available for the vegetarians in our group. Would go back there for sure.

Caspian Café is a hidden gem in Houston, serving up some of the best Iranian cuisine in the city. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with warm and inviting decor, and the aroma of delicious dishes wafting from the kitchen. The menu features a wide variety of authentic dishes, each one more flavorful and satisfying than the last. The koobideh kebab, juicy skewers of marinated ground beef, is a must-try. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they're always willing to make recommendations or answer any questions you have about the menu. Whether you're a seasoned Iranian food connoisseur or a newcomer to the cuisine, you'll find something to love at Caspian Café. Overall, I highly recommend Caspian Café for anyone looking for a truly delicious and authentic dining experience. From the mouth-watering food to the welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant is a true standout in Houston's culinary scene.

This is 1 of 2021 highlights so far lol. Dishes are delicious with good quantities and quality all over. Starters, desserts and saffron tea was on point. Ample seating with spaced out tables and very friendly staff. Very clean restrooms and place over all. Definitely recommend as a great experience with lots of unique choices to choose from.

Had an amazing fine dine experience after long time. I was surprised by the relatively low prices and such a warm hosting at the restaurant. They welcome you with a hot Iranian bread (nan-e-taftoon) and vegetable salad of onion, feta cheese, mint leaves and parsley. I ordered Chicken koobideh with hummus (the traditional mid-eastern delicacy that goes with anything and everything song with some more bread. I loved the flavor and presentation. Another dish was chicken sortani, which looked very much similar but came with roasted tomatoes, onion and jalapenos. They give some spices on the side, one of which was a tangy and red in color,I forgot to ask the name.
