• Atmosphere: my personal opinion is that the tables are just too close together. If you can sit in the back room, do that. They are group tables but much more space is between them. The place is beautiful and it is fun to see them making tortillas.
• Service: this can vary depending on how busy they are and who the waiter is. We have had both excellent experiences and disappointing ones so be prepared either way.
• Food: The beef fajitas are a standout here. I have never been disappointed by the quality, quantity, flavor or tenderness. The rice and beans are standard and nothing special. The cheese dip is very good. The lunch portions are a perfect size and should be considered to save you some money.
• Price: very expensive, be prepared to spend lots of money
• Overall this is hands down the best fajitas in town

It was the best experience I have ever had. He was very attentive to me and there had to be 100 plus people at the bar. The salsa comes to the table warmed and smoky flavored -as if it was made over an open pit fire under the stars. We feasted on the FRESH guacamole- wow!!
The wait staff - Billie, our great server absolutely kept her cool with style during the Friday night howls in the distance for more chips!!

Excellent tex-mex food. They are very popular so sadly, service can be slow at times and the atmosphere a bit loud. Expect a wait almost every day, so booking ahead on their website is recommended.

I don’t typically eat at chain restaurants but met a group here. The service was great and the Plato Del Mar was pretty good. Someone ordered a salad and was the last to get their food. The drawn butter makes everything better.

Excellent food and ambiance. I am in love with their cheese enchiladas. Also, the wave cocktail which is a frozen margarita swirled with sangria is so good! I’m definitely going to look up and see where there are other locations of this restaurant!

We got chicken and beef fajitas prepared at the right term, super tender and flavor was delicious.
Highly recommended. Don't forget to try their special Margarita on the Rocks.

We went to celebrate with a friend who was visiting from out of town. Our server was phenomenal, made excellent recommendations for our large group and had a wonderful personality, we enjoyed her taking care of us! Everything was fresh, well cooked, and delicious. Despite it being a busy Saturday at lunch time, our food arrived quickly and exactly as ordered. We had a wonderful experience and will absolutely continue to go to Pappasitos!

This place is why they say everything is bigger in Texas. Every dish is made as if you're a hungry teenager, a hungry pregnant lady, or someone about to build a barn by himself. So, the portions are huge. Don't order with your empty stomach. I'd definitely recommend anything with shrimp. Other than that, have at it - this place what Tex Mex is all about.

Really loved it! I especially recommend to try any of the Margaritas. We had the Platinum one and the Watermelon and both were delicious.
We started off with the chips and salsa, but added a guacamole and cheese dip.
Also, there were four of us and ordered the Number 2, that had quails stuffed with pepper and wrapped in bacon, grilled chicken, steak and shrimps, which also came with flour tortillas that are handmade (Yummy!), a side of rice, beans, sour cream and more guacamole... all of that was more than enough for four adults.
Highly recommend it, but arrive early because it gets packed very quickly.

Came to eat with my mom Sunday and it had been a while since we had got together. So needless to say we were looking forward to it. When the waitress first came to the table she was sweet but she never returned. After sitting awhile, already receiving our food and she still hadn’t been back I decided to go look for someone to assist. The manager (I wish I caught her name) noticed me right away and asked if I needed help. I explained that our waitress hadn’t been back and we already received our food. We ran out of Salsa so didn’t get to enjoy chips and no refill on drinks. I was also gonna order an alcoholic beverage but she never returned. While we were talking, we looked up and she was at the table. From that point on, the waitress and the manager both went above and beyond for the rest of our dinner. Instead of being upset I spoke to the manager she apologized and explained she got caught with her tables outside. They never let our drinks even get half way low and we’re constantly checking in. At the end they offered dessert. Before we left I tried tipping the waitress and she wouldn’t accept. She acknowledged that she had disappointed us at first and again apologized. They were so genuine and went above and beyond making it right. We all make mistakes and of course stuff happens. This is what you call excellent service! Thank you for the positive experience!

I can honestly say a horrible experience ended in a great way all because of the manager Xena Martinez. Not only did my food order come out wrong once but it came out wrong 3 times. The waiter took forever to come back to acknowledge us. After the 3rd time Xena came over and changed the entire experience. She was not only the nicest person , respectful but she was understanding, patient and caring . She accommodated us in a professional way. I would definitely say if excellent customer service has to be taught for your organization, select Xena to be the leader/example. Thank you Xena for your professionalism and commitment to excellent customer service, because of YOU I will return to this location.

Great service. The food was excellent today. It was about 2pm when arrived so there wasn't a lot of folks in the restaurant. Fajitas were outstanding and so was the beef enchilada. Really well prepared and flavor was so good. Not a fan of the chicken enchilada.

I’m totally biased. I’ve had their Superior dinner for some two decades. With its excellent shredded chicken enchiladas topped with ranchero sauce, tacos all carbon with fresh salsa, hand-thrown pork tamale with a mole-like sauce and charo beans. They used to an optional Chile Relleno, but who had room to eat it. While they have many great items on their menu, I can’t get past this excellent platter of food. Everything works together so well.

we always come to this pappasitos and most of the time they're good, but there are times they just mess up.. 1 time the chicken was not cooked all the way..we didnt come for a while and we decided we will try again since we had more good experience than bad with this place...theyve been good again for a while...then this last time we were there...we enjoyed the food but the service...omg horrible...asked for more salsa,never came.. came with food without tortilla and rice, waited for a while, then came tortilla, ate and finished our food then rice came...just great...you can tell i was not a very happy customer...most times i would give it 5 stars absolutely...i am just pissed with the recent experience.

Food is always fresh, just wasn't my best experience due to the crowd on Sat evening, and being seated at the bar and people ordering over my shoulder and talking over my food, with fluids coming out there mouth, which ended my meal early and I didn't finish my drink.

We normally have a better experience but Friday was not the best. Had to send a terrible tasting margarita back. There were other seats available but somehow we were seated in an area filled with kids. I referred to it as the kid party room. Guess I can be thankful I wasn't seated next to the bathroom or kitchen.

Good food, excellent service, accommodating wait staff. My only issue (not a complaint) with all of the Pappa's restaurants is the noise. No matter where you sit you practically have to yell to visit with your dining companions (and, no, I don't have a hearing problem). Other than that, one of my favorites in Houston.

At this location the beverages at our table tasted bad. Maybe the ice, water, or fountain drinks had an undetectable taste. The chicken fajita looked great but the taste was inedible. It had a terrible taste maybe the marinade, coals, something. I usually don't go go here for Mexican food but it was a group. Very disappointed

If the outside looks genuinely Mexican, then the inside and food will blow you away. Authentic to the core the decor and food will transport you to a different place. IT CAN GET BUSY VERY QUICKLY and can get loud inside, but if you must wait, it is worth it. The food is a TAD EXPENSIVE, but is amazing. Fantastically Mexican, everything on the menu is tasty. Also, chips, which explains itself without description. The service is great, but when it gets busy the waiter will be dividing his attention between many tables. But don’t pass this place up if going by. The atmosphere, dishes, and serviced is something to enjoy.

What happened? This used to be a good Tex-Amex restaurant under the Pappas umbrella. We went for lunch and I wanted to go elsewhere almost immediately. The tables are far too close together. A 1/2 chicken breast and 1/4lb of beef is not enough meat when ordering “fajitas for 2”. The tortillas hadn’t been made at 11:45, so our meat was cold by the time our tortillas arrived at or table. The tortillas were dry and crumbling. The waitress was nowhere to be found when we needed to checkout.<br/>Sad to see this place go downhill...

We always hit up Papasitos Cantina when we are in Houston. It is the highlight of our trip. The bacon wrapped jalapeño stuffed prawns are deadly good! The nachos are the bomb. The fajitas are my husbands favorite.

Flavorless Expensive Food. The tortilla chips have zero flavor, almost like they're made from paper. How a tamale can be so flavorless is astonishing. The chili (?) sauce and the beef enchilada was so bland I couldn't finish it! The Charo beans were the only thing worth eating. The cooks and management should be forced to eat what they prepare! How this place can continue to be so busy is beyond me.

Great fajitas, yummy chips, salsa and queso. But service is often very slow! And yes in can be a circus in there. My last meal there, A couple had one if their kids running around like they were in a park. Kid knocked our chair down. There was a reason why every table around them was empty, no one wanted to sit by them, unfortunately this is a typical encounter at thus pappasitos location.
