First time in this Greek restaurant. We had no problem to get a table and parking spot Friday evening. Our server was very friendly and tentative. I ordered the chicken-orzo soup which was creamy and delicious. My partner tried the chicken with asparagus that was flavourful. I was in the mood for shrimp and rice which was a bit tasteless. When we were about to leave, the live music started.
The overall experience was nice, we would come back.

I was here first time like 7 years ago, good food and service, small parking lot.
I returned yesterday, the place was empty on a Monday at 3pm, ordered a gyros plate and some pistachio ice cream dessert, everything was tasty, fast, attentive service. My friend order something like a macaroni lasagna, it looked delicious.
The place looks dated like it needs a remodel as soon as possible. Might come back.

This restaurant has great atmosphere. The Greek food is awesome! They provide a large portions and all of the items are wonderfully cooked. We visited on a Saturday evening and they crowd was medium in size. Getting into the parking lot takes a little bit of work because the building they are in is surrounded by one-way streets; however, the extra work is completely worth it. The prices are a little above normal but once again the quality of the meal makes it worth it. My family members shared the Royal Feast and they looked it. There was more than they could eat so we took home the rest and they ate the remaining portions on Sunday. I encourage anyone that loves Greek food to try Alexander the Great Greek restaurant in the Galleria area in Houston.

Everything was fantastic, we were here early on a Friday evening 530ish and the place was empty. But the food, atmosphere and service was top natch!!! From the Dolmades to the salads and entrees. We had yaya's chicken which was cooked perfect and mousaka which had rich deep flavor! Highly recommend!

decided to give this place a try while on a business trip. I heard rave reviews from some other business associates who had gone there for lunch AND dinner in the same day. I found the service to be superb! The food was delicious and there was lots of it! I'm coming back tomorrow!

So so so so so so so so good! Everyone ordered something different. Mine was this Olympus steak and it was great. My wife had chicken and enjoyed it. My father in law raved about the meatball sandwich.

My husband and I, along with another couple had dinner here yesterday evening . We have frequented this restaurant many times ! The food is fabulous, the ambiance is great, very entertaining and the price point is perfect ! Great food and wonderful wine selection. The owner, Thanasis, always makes our visit special! I highly recommend this restaurant!!!!! Did I mention the Belly dancer !!!! Lots of fun !!!!

The food was excellent we were there Friday night and Saturday night and had different food each time and it was cooked to perfection. Seasoned just right. The meat was so tender it just melted in your mouth. Excellent food! The entertainment by Liberty and Mario was totally Hollywood. They are true entertainers. Definitely a truly enjoyable night!
And to top it off They have belly dancers. Beautiful costumes. For a great night out go to Alexander The Great - Greek Restaurant.

Good entertainment and food for the more "mature" scene and a quick scan of the crowd last night, confirmed over half the patrons were 50+. While not the best Greek food in Houston, I can see how the restaurant succeeds by targeting a certain age demographic. Between the lounge singer with the single keyboardist and the temperature inside the restaurant hovering close to the 80's, I may become a regular there myself (in another 10 years).

Great food, great people. Next time I'm Houston I'm coming back. I had beef kabobs the first night and lamb shanks the second. The rice was exquisite, the veggies super fresh. Very simple flavors with high quality ingredients.

Excellent food and service! I had a great experience. The owner is such a nice guy. I met him because he stopped by our table to check that we were happy with our entrees and service. I noticed that when a customer was leaving, he would stop what he was doing to say thank you to each one. Very impressive. We tried the pork kabobs, chicken kabobs, eggplant, Greek salads, pita bread, rice, potatoes, cheese and tomato appetizer-all were tasty, fresh and pretty presentations. Going back again. There is parking behind the building, if you don't want to pay the valet. Valet service is for the Mexican restaurant in the same shopping center, but you can have them park your car if you want too.

At noon, the restaurant did not even look open. The server was pleasant but mostly absent. The olives in the salad were too funky. The “regular” coffee was terrible.

Considering location, prices a little higher than lunch elsewhere but if you are celebrating a special occasion, it was well worth it. And the portions were so plentiful that our take home was another meal. Delicious food and very clean restaurant.

The celebration of my retirement was held here. The food is exceptional, the band was superb and the belly dancer was very entertaining. Parking is limited so don't be late.

I came in for lunch, ordered spinach pie appetizer, gyro sandwich and a diet pepsi. I never got the diet pepsi, the spinach pie was cold, but the gyro was delish! The server never checked on me, so i could never track down my soda nor fix the appetizer. She basically came, took my order and had bussers fill up my water and a runner drop off my food. Cashing out was a nightmare and I had to track her down and ask / plead to cash out. I was charged for my soda and asked that she remove the appetizer, as well. Both items came off of my bill and I cashed out for $8.66. All's well that ends well, right? Well, I checked my statement and my lunch charge cleared my bank for $15.00. WHAT?!?!?! Diner beware. Being too busy or understaffed is one thing....stealing from customers is something that can't be tolerated.
