I can't say Enough about Nikos Nikos. The initial experience is walk up counter service, and unless you find a really off time, expect a wait, but it won’t be too long. Their counter staff are very efficient and friendly. I am a falafel fanatic ever since I discovered them about a hundred years ago at a place on Fondren near 59 called The Traffic Jam. Whenever I have any kind of Mediterranean food, I try their falafel. I usually go for the bakhlava as well, but on a yeast free diet right now so eschewed that. Their falafel is delicious. Crispy on the inside and deliciously soft on the inside. I was afraid to try any of the sauces that come with them, so got a side of hummus and dipped my falafel in that. If you are looking for a really good, not pretentious place to fill up on lamb, falafel, gyros and the like, definitely check out Nikis Nikos.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Houston. Some of the best gyro I have had. The gyro platter is an absolute show stopper. The tzatziki sauce is out of this world and their Greek potatoes are something are to die for. Don’t even get me started on dessert. Hands down best meal you will have on montrose!

I've been going to Niko Niko's since the 70s. I think their food is still the best Greek food in town! I think their prices are very fair for the quality of food they serve and it doesn't bother me one bit to eat at their place on paper plates and use plastic utensils. It's a casual environment, not fine dining... but the food is as good as fine dining. Long time very happy customer! {I do have one small problem sometimes it's just too busy :-)}

Never been, you must try it. Living in Dallas we dont often get here. But having tried it one time it is now a must stop if we are in Houston. Excellant food at a reasonable price. Friendly helpful staff. So many good things on the menu. I love this place.

We went with a group of friends, about 20 of us. Our pager to pick up our food failed to alert us to when our food was ready. Ethan made sure that we got our food very shortly and refunded the price of our meal. The food is delicious and the service is even better

Not a fussy place, seating is outside or inside wood booths. The food far makes up for this. Great selection and the food came out quick and was delicious. Will definitely go back again

It was myself and my faughter’s first time here. Also passed it but was not able to stop. We both enjoyed greatly. The Gyros were tasty and the chicken kabob sandwich didn’t disappoint. The Baklava was great.

Fantastic, authentic Greek food. The variety and quality are unsurpassed for the price and speed that these guys serve. Nice staff too. I've been a steady customer for 20 yrs, back when the restaurant was 1/2 the size it is now. This establishment is a must see when visiting Houston if you want to experience a local legend.

This is an iconic and one of the older restaurants in Houston. I assure you that it does not disappoint. Over the weekend, expect to step into a bustling, full of energy place. Yet one can get a sense of privacy if you get the bigger tables. The restaurant has both inside and outside seating options. The food is delicious and the quantity is huge! The fried fish was perfectly cooked and the Greek coffee strong and tasty. Must recommend the Greek wines on offer as well as the gyros! Another great place to take friends and family!

Best Greek food I know of. Delicious Chicken Avgolemono! Lemon potatoes are perfect. Chicken and gyro meats are tender and succulent. Most delicious pitas (thin, and buttery, not thick and dry). Good parking, and Outdoor dining as well as indoor. It's consistently great. A+

Nice facility, plenty of parking there is seating indoor and outdoor. If you are in a wheel chair may be hard to get around inside. Food was yummy. Would love to go back and eat here again.

Great place to get a regular or chicken gyro. Best in Houston. Not much on decor but I rather pay for really good food than decoration. Really busy on the weekends but they get their food out fairly quick. Come with an appetite because you get a ton of fries with your meal.

This is my happy place. The food is amazing and the staff are wonderful. The desserts and coffees are scrumptious. The portions are plentiful and the atmosphere is laid back. The one thing I would say is that it is a little loud but as I know this I plan accordingly and eat here when a more festive atmosphere is not a problem.

I have been eating here for 30+ years. This is the most consistent place I have ever been. The quality is always there. When choosing a side, get the potatoes.

We always order soup and salad here, and the quality of the food is always TOP. Lentil soup is sooooo good, and the falafel salad is a great compliment. My friend always orders the chicken soup and it looks like what your mom would make. Love Niko Nikos!

This place is great for dinner or lunch. It's busy, but it's worth the extra time. Which for a fresh meal isn't much longer than a burger joint but definitely on par with any Greek restaurant I've been to here in Houston. Keep up the good work, and thank you for the amazing eats!

We stopped at the Montrose location today around 3:30pm and placed a to go order which included 4 felafels. Probably a whopping $4.50 for them so not expensive at all. Once we got to the hospital to visit our daughter with the food in hand, we discovered the felafels were missing. A phone call to Niko Niko’s resulted in the kind of customer service so rare these days. They offered to DELIVER the felafels and said they would include a free dessert. About a half hour later, my husband met the delivery person at the entrance to Women’s Hospital. When we opened the containers we found not 4 but 6 felafels and not one free dessert but an entire box full of assorted desserts. We were already loyal customers because the food is always absolutely perfect and so delicious but this is just over the top. Thank you so much Niko Niko’s!!! 10 stars!!

This was my second visit of this restaurant after 10 years. Ordered Chicken Soup and Gyro plate with fries. The gyro taste was great. Everything was fresh. The soup was okay. For dessert ordered hot tea and baklava. Baklava was okay. The interior design can be improved as it is getting old. Recommend this restaurant for All Greek food lovers.

Niko Niko's on Montrose has been my favorite restaurant in Houston for many years now. The food is always fantastic, including their desserts. Their staff is helpful. One of the managers, Maria, was extremely helpful with an order error. She took time to research what happened and made it right. If you like Greek food, you will love it here.

My son has been raving about this restaurant for years, and when we were visiting for the Thanksgiving weekend we decided to try it. Everything we ordered was very tasty. We started with " Niko's Dip Platter" which was a perfect introduction while waiting for our dinners to be ready. We didn't wait long at all for our food, but you need to get there early as there was a line to the door at one point. We ordered the Gyros Platter, and the meat was the best I have ever had, so tender and moist. We shared several desserts but my favorite was the Athenian Mud Pie. Do not hesitate to try this Greek Restaurant if you are in the Houston area.

First time at niko nikos! Love the food everything tasted good and was amazing. The desserts were creamy and moist! I got the gyro with fries and feta on top. Along with the village salad. The portion was big couldn’t finish it all 10/10 would recommend.

This is my favorite place to grab fresh gyro sandwiche in Houston! Outside ambiance is perfect in the cooler months, so it's nice to sit outside on the front patio and eat in the fresh air. 👌😉👍

I was a little nervous about this when my wife suggested it, but I was dead wrong. The gyros here were absolutely fantastic. The meat was tender and really well seasoned, the pita was soft and fluffy, and the veggies and sauce were exactly the fresh note that they needed. The fries were also surprisingly good and the portions were generous, which really helped me swallow the price. Definitely worth checking out.

I ordered the gryo sandwich with fries. Sandwich was good but had a little too much tzatsiki sauce. Lots of fries but would have liked them a liitle crisper. My husband had the Greek lasagna, and it comes with a side salad. He said they were good.

When we arrived, there were many free spots in the parking lot. You simply walk inside, order meals at the counter, and pick it up there when your buzzer sounds. Although I've never had Greek breakfast, it was excellent. In addition, I purchased an iced mocha, which shocked me. They actually have a wonderful selection of sweets and a pretty good coffee menu. Despite the fact that I skipped the dessert this time, I will surely have it the next time I visit, which will be very soon as they have a number of things I'm eager to try.
