What an awesome spot for dinner. An AMAZING range of beers, great food and awesome service. I tried 2 IPAs and a Hazy, while my wife had 2 cocktails. We just had starters to share, but such a lovely meal. Can't wait to go back!

Awesome selection of beer including many locals, which is exactly what I came for. Food is fine but unremarkable, but that’s not why you’re here. The plates recognizing all the people that drink too much beer were cool - I’d definitely have one if I lived nearby.

One of the best bars I've been to in the USA. Excellent service, bar food, and selection of beers on tap. The wings were cooked to perfection and thick with meat. I was surprised to notice they didn't have any Stella Artois though. The workers were very nice and put on the Champions League for us

Great spot to come for a beer when you’re hanging or working downtown. Best spot for 100s of beers, actually. They even give you a plate with whatever you want to print on it if you drink 1-200 of their exotic beers from their extensive list.

Been visiting since 2007 so they're definitely doing something right (yes, I'm biased)! Their staff is awesome and always happy to help you find the perfect beverage.
Beers galore, including hard-to-find and special releases not found anywhere else, as well as the best beer events you'll ever find. And if you don't do beer, they also offer wine and cocktails.
My favorites on their menu include the wings, Slow Dough pretzel, Rocket Tots (both loaded and 'unloaded'), Big Dipper (French dip), the Reuben, and always go with the German potato salad. Currently there's Frito Pie on the menu so that's my go-to, but you really can't go wrong with any of their options.
Last, they're right off the Main Street rail in the heart of it all. Great for pregaming, post gaming, or just catching the game.

The best and largest selection of beers in Houston. Nice environment and staff. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality. I recommend.
The food is also good (my favorite is the Big Dipper), but I would suggest that they include some more "hunger killer" options in the menu.

From out of town and I really enjoyed this place. They have a large beer selection including local beers, prominent breweries across the country, and a good international selection. The specials were far better than you usually see these days and the pizza was great. Most importantly, my bartender was one of the happiest, friendliest people I have met. If I am ever in town again I will certainly return!

One of the best spots in downtown Houston to grab a craft beer and a quick bite. Always the latest and freshest craft beer on tap. All of the bartending staff and managers are knowledgeable about what beer you should try. Spend an extra 20 bucks and join the saucer program for a chance to earn a plate on their ceiling.

I come for the beer, not the food. I always order the pizza w/prosciutto, garlic, and arugula. Monday's are the day to come to drink on a budget. Always look check the fire sale. If you plan on coming frequently, join the UFO club. Just ask about it. 😉

Ours closed in KC. Found this one in Houston. Bartender extremely knowledgeable (as they usually are at the Saucer) as well as friendly and helpful. I love this place because I love beer.

I love the Flying Saucer. So many choices of draft and canned/bottled beer. You can't go wrong! The specials on Sundays and Mondays make the beer cheap enough to try new beers. We shared a big pretzel. It was soft and warm and came with queso and mustard. So good! If you like the place enough sign up to be a Beerknurd and you can earn a plate for the wall just for drinking different beers! There is also one in Sugar Land. That's also a great place for spending time drinking good beer. Go to either and you won't regret it!

Good atmosphere. Food is not the best. Don't get the shepherd pie. The proportion of mashed potato to meat is terrible. Barely any meat and it was bland. The cheese fries were good. There is a massive beer selection. I'm not a beer drinker, so I had whiskey sours. They were weak and overpriced. So as a non-beer drinker (which I'm sure they've had a million times), the drinks were weak and the food was eh. If you are an avid beer drinker and don't care about the food, it's a good place.

I will never visit the saucer again! They are liars and thieves! I was an MOU and member of the downtown saucer for 10 years. I enjoy collecting plates so much that I signed up for a membership in Austin so I could give the company more money.
I was banned yesterday from the saucer yesterday because lately I have been going to the saucer printing out 6 beers, 3 for Houston and 3 for Austin. I was drinking all 6 beers. I was not only ordering 3 beers and turning 6 tickets in. I had asked whether this was allowed and I was told the only way this would be allowed is if I drank the 6 beers for them to count towards both plates but that was lie. I was banned along with gf for this because apparently it's only 3 beers per visit doesn't matter if you multiple memberships. We have also been informed that her plate party will not be honored either which makes them thieves in my eyes. So FYI to fellow members or who have multiple cards/memberships, take my experience as a learning lesson. Apparently I was warned multiple times which was a lie. So keep that in mind and just don't sign up for more than one membership or don't sign up at all because each location is highly inconsistent with enforcement of "rules" that are not posted anywhere to be found. So they treat their regulars like this imagine how they will treat you.

We had the greatest service from Veronica today. She was super sweet and gave us great advice on the beer selection and things to do around the city. Beer was great. We enjoyed dinning outside on the patio area. Would definitely recommend.

Beer and pizza was great, but service could use a little help. Not sure if they needed another table server or the one we had was a little overwhelmed. I will give a shoutout to the manager on duty for recognizing our service was a little subpar and comping us on the beer. I joined the Berknurd club for the challenge of drinking all 200 beer flavors they have to offer.

Loved the location and the atmosphere was really great. I had the pretzel with cream cheese dipping sauce and it was amazing! Amazing variety of brew.... that’s a given!! Ordered the nachos and the meat was gross so I didn’t even touch my plate. I would go here for the beer, not the food.

It wasn’t bad. We had appetizers that were tasty. Problem is they’re trying way too hard to be trendy and don’t have any real rib sticking foods that you can call a meal. Our waitress also disappeared about an hour into our visit and it took about 20 minutes for us to haul another one.

Really good beer bar. Abount 80 beers on draft. 3 dollar texas drafts on Sundays and Mondays all drafts 3 dollar. Daily "Fire Sale" beer special for 3-4 bucks. Food is solid and reasonably priced. Kitchen is open late. Right downtown by light rail and numerous bus lines.

Mondays has $3 pints for all beers 'on the wall'...great deal. Got there and it wasn't crowed, but as time went on, got crowded and loud and we seemed to lose the attention of our waitress.

The food was great we had a pizza and pretzels. The pretzels were soft and not to salty. The pizza was great too. The service was a little slow for a Friday afternoon. Response time to us sitting down and getting out order placed was a little long. I also signed up for the UFO membership but was told the beers I had would not count towards my 200. I was disappointed by that so only had one drink. Other than the slow response and beer not counting it was a great visit to your restaurant.

I agree with most of the reviewers here. atmosphere was great, beer was good but food and service were poor. My girlfriend and I both had upset stomachs afterward.
