I wasn’t sure driving from Conroe to downtown Houston, for brunch with my friends was a good idea. Well, everything happens for a reason! Hugo’s has exceded my expectations for great food and service! I will definitely go back and take my family there for an experience they will never forget. Shout-out to the waiters for their attention and professionalism! Hugo’s is without a doubt one of the finest Mexican restaurants I have ever been. Special thanks to our waiter Jose V. for introducing us to The Authentic Mexican cuisine!

The food at Hugos is phenomenal. Each item tasted very authentic and fresh. I highly recommend going during the happy hour as you can get great deals on drinks, appetizers, and tacos. During non happy hour, the food is pretty expensive and may not be worth it to some even though the flavor is great. Although the food was exceptional, I feel like the atmosphere could have been a bit better. It was nice inside but for the price point, I feel that it could have been nicer. Overall, if food is your main concern, definitely come here. If the atmosphere is most important, you may want to go other places. Note- they have valet parking.

I had the angus beef with mole and bean tamale and it was very delicious! The tamale was so good! The mole sauce was also great, the steak could have a little improvement (was not as tender) but other than that would highly recommend this plate! My husband had the duck mole and it was falling off the bone, so tender! The churros were crispy and flavorful, would have them again! Definitely a must try restaurant in Houston

Wonderful experience. Beautiful restraunt and great staff. Our waitress went out of her way to help us find something my autistic toddler would eat. Our food was so good and the drinks were yummy. Will go again.

Authentic Mexican food done beautifully. We didn’t have a reservation but were very lucky to be seated inside the main dining room. The decor was bright, open, elevated and classy. We also notice how we both liked their their dinnerware, cocktail glass, and dinner table that we almost want to get the same glass for ourselves. For appetizers, we ordered Brussels sprout, ceviche, and suckling pig. The pork was so juicy and tasty, paired beautifully with corn tortilla that we devoured everything. For mains, we had carnitas, and scallop. The scallop was very fresh and elevated by the sauce and pancake. Carnitas was also delicious. For dessert, we had churros with ice cream. To our surprise, it also comes with hot chocolate that our server brought out and churned table side, it was a fun spectacle for us. Service was flawless. What a beautiful restaurant, Best Mexican food in Houston, and one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Valet was $5.

Loved it. My wife and I had dinner before going to see Wicked at the Hobby Center. Fantastic meal. For an appetizer we had the ceviche - super tasty and incredible chips that were very crispy. She had the duck and I had the slow roasted pork. Really tasty and fall off the bone meat. The moles and sauces were so delicious. Hugo Rita for happy hour drinks were perfect. The bread pudding for dessert was the best we have had together. Really great service and we are certain we will go again when we move inside the loop. 👍👍

Good food, service and ambience! Went here for a dinner on a weekday. The have valet parking. Indoor seating. The ambience is great! Service is fantastic. We were looking for vegetarian options and they had plenty. Their salsa and guac was fresh and good. You can get refills on the chips only. The plantain empanadas were good, they are a bit on the sweeter side. We also tried TACOS DE RAJAS Y PAPAS - it was good too, the poblano peppers bring in a good flavor. PLATO DE VEGETALES - loved the butternut squash puree and the brussel sprouts. Overall it was a good experience, definitely going back to try the rest of the menu.

Omg I cannot even tell you how special they make me feel on my bday, first there was a bday card from Hugos, we ordered lechon for appetizer, two drinks, after order carne asada or brava I don’t remember exactly and then dessert churros and crepes, they gave an extra plate with happy birthday wishes. Waiter was extra friendly and helpful also gave me chocolate to dip in my churros. Definitely coming back food was great too and they were very fast to serve the food. Thankyou all for everything

My sisters and I brought our mom here for Mother's Day and it was pretty busy as expected. The experience was great and we would come back and try their dinner menu. Restaurant is on the finer dining side, not the typical Mexican restaurant with the generous portions and cheaper prices. Parking can be a bit of a headache but at least it is complimentary valet, tip accordingly! Our waiter was great, very friendly, informative of the menu, recommendations were delicious and very attentive for it being a packed house. We ordered an appetizer called lechón and it was very good. It was pork and it came with some blue tortillas super delicious! Warning that sauce is spicy as heck! I ordered the huevos rancheros with my eggs over hard. It definitely isn't like the cheaper places where the eggs are swimming in sauce (which I LOVE) but the flavors are very good and it is filling with the chopped grilled steak, tortillas and refried beans beneath it all. My mom ordered the chilaquiles and she enjoyed them, said there was plenty of the green sauce. My sisters ordered another huevo ranchero and the chile relleno. They both liked it as well. We all cleaned our plates lol no crumbs left behind. For dessert we ordered the crepas con cajeta and the churros rellenos. Small portions indeed for both but it was plenty after sharing an appetizer and having a full meal. Great place to splurge on every now and then. Friendly staff everywhere. Clean facilities during BUSY BUSY Mother's day. Would definitely recommend to try out.
