Probably some of the best BBQ I have ever had!! Awesome flavor - smoked but not too smokey. The chips & queso are a must. And the mac n cheese is so yummy you won't be able to stop eating it.

Had the brisket, pulled pork, beef sausage and beef ribs. I wasn't a fan of the beef sausage but it was good just not my style. Everything else was excellent. Highly recommend stopping in.

Without a doubt, the fame of Texas BBQ is invaluable. This place serves the best smoked meat of all the places I've been. The place is nice but because it's full of people, it gets a little busy, but that's precisely because it's out of the ordinary. If you're from abroad and looking for a place to eat a good BBQ, this is the place. Remembering that prices are per quantity of food and will depend on your hunger, but looking at other nearby meat restaurants, this one is extremely within budget. In other words, it is a place for all visitors.

From the smells to the atmosphere everything about The Pit Room is great. I had the three meat platter, the first slice of brisket was a bit dry and every slice after that was tender, juicy and flavorful. The rub and sauces were great, and I definitely recommend the corn and pickled jalapenos. If you like BBQ you'll like it here.

Visited few days ago with my friends, one of them got this place recommended and i can only recommend it as well. If you don’t try brisket in Texas, you are missing out! I got for myself three meats for great price with two sides ( brisket, pulled pork and beef sausage-Czech style). Coleslaw was tasty as well. Place was crowded but its worth to wait in the queue and it went fast.

Incredible! This is a small joint but don’t underestimate it! Quick service, casual atmosphere. The best, most tender barbecue! We had the turkey, spicy sausage, brisket and pulled pork. All were delicious. Good sides too. We enjoyed the glass bottle sodas as well! We sat on the patio which was nice. It was a bit smoky so I’d suggest sitting inside if you have respiratory issues, but we didn’t mind and seeing all the smokers there is another testament to how good the barbecue is! I will hope to come back!!!!

I recently had the chance to indulge in what I can only describe as the best BBQ experience in Texas at The Pit Room in Houston. This unassuming gem, nestled in the heart of the city, offers an authentic barbecue experience that leaves your taste buds dancing with joy. As I walked in, the aroma of smoked meats filled the air, setting the stage for a memorable meal. The rustic, down-to-earth ambiance, complemented by the friendly staff, created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was clear from the get-go that The Pit Room takes its barbecue seriously. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Pit Room Platter. A smorgasbord of all their specialties, this platter is a meat lover's paradise. Each meat was smoked to perfection, with flavors so rich and deep, they could only be the result of hours of careful preparation and passion. The brisket was tender and juicy, falling apart at the slightest touch, while the ribs were a sticky, sweet delight. However, the unexpected hero of the meal was the smoked turkey. Often overlooked in the world of BBQ, this turkey was a revelation - moist, flavorful, and infused with just the right amount of smokiness. It was a testament to the Pit Room’s mastery of their craft. The sides were equally impressive, with the creamed corn and potato salad providing the perfect accompaniment to the smoky feast. And of course, no BBQ meal would be complete without a generous helping of their homemade barbecue sauce, adding an extra layer of flavor to an already delightful meal. In conclusion, The Pit Room in Houston isn't just a restaurant; it's an institution that celebrates the art of barbecue. For anyone in search of the quintessential Texas BBQ experience, look no further. This place is a must-visit, and make sure you don't miss out on the smoked turkey - it's a game-changer!

Unbelievable!! One of the few craft BBQ joints that doesn’t run out or make you get there hours early. Everything this was perfect. The sides are just as spectacular as the meats. Oh yeah, their tortillas are made from brisket fat. Never heard of that before but I have now. See y’all again soon!!

This places was delicious. We had never heard of The Pit Room before but it just happened to be a couple of blocks from us around lunch time so we figured we'd check it out. The Wagyu Beef Rib, though expensive as heck at $45 a rib, was the best beef rib we ever had. The brisket was also great (fatty cut). No body had any complaints about the food and all the trays were picked clean. If you're wanting to sit inside, you might be waiting a while due to limited seating. Our wait time in line for food was about ten minutes. Not too bad for high noon on a Saturday. We would definitely eat here again.

Oh my Lord this place was fantastic the food was so delicious I enjoyed the atmosphere. And if you are ever in Houston Texas stop by the pit and have some good old fine bbq. My first time eating here and it will not be my last time. When I came back to Texas.

We went for dinner. The food is generally very good. The brisket is great and the bbq sauce is very good. That defiantly puts them high on the difficult list of bbq in Houston. The sides have a Mexican flair and a bit of a spice. Pulled pork and chicken are ok. No kids menu. So we got the kiddo a taco and that worked well. Great patio space so go on a nice day. Recommend an early dinner. We left at 6:40 on a Sunday and the line was out the door.

Visit: June 2023 Got to visit The Pit Room and it didn't disappoint. The meat was of high quality and everything tasted really good. The sides were nice as well (green beans and mustard potato salad). It was cool to see that Guy Fieri had paid a visit there too. If I come back to Texas, I would definitely check this place out again. We got the brisket, pulled pork, and venison sausages. The sausages were a bit tough, which is expected from venison. We reheated the food at home and it was still really juicy, I can't imagine how good it would have been fresh
