Just Ok. No soup with lunch meal. Egg Roll small and tasteless packaged sauces. Not sure food wasn’t processed prepackaged. Can’t suggest it
Food isn't fantastic..but it's good enough. About what you would expect from an Americanized Chinese restaurant. However the appeal here is that they give you A LOT of food for a great price. The value is good enough to keep me coming back when I'm craving AmeriChinese food, just wish they delivered.
Very nice people, fast service, good food. I had Cashew Chicken and my husband had Mongolian Beef. Both were good, I loved the Egg Drop Soup, Hot and Sour Soup and the Egg Rolls.
It's not authentic but it's amazing!!! Cooked fresh right in front of you. Well priced. There aren't many tables. They primarily do to go orders. This place is awesome!!
Great but need more dinner options!. Good food. But they don't have many small portion options for dinner. Pick from the few small options or you're paying $15 for Mongolian beef and rice. They do give you a lot for this amount but certainly would be nice to have the option of getting less instead of having to spend so much. They do have lunch portions for half that price but won't serve it after 3 pm.

We just moved here and was looking for some good take out Chinese. Once again urban spoon was spot on with the reviews and ratings. This is by far the BEST take out Chinese I have eaten. The Mongolian beef was very authentic and the shrimp foo young was amazing. Enough food to fill you up and eat 3 other times on it.

The best hidden Chinese secret in Birmingham. I have eaten at this bluff park restaurant since I was in High School. It is the best Chinese that you can find in 200 miles. The taste and price are by far the best! The staff is wonderful and like many of the other people have written. The lady that usually tends the register and takes the orders will remember your name. I don't say love for many things, but this restaurant I love! Do yourself a favor and stop by this restaurant one day. You will be glad that you did.

Consistently good. Excellent Americanized Chinese, cooked to order, fast, huge portions, reliable, and delicious. One portion serves the three of us. Not surprised that it's always busy even after all these years.
We frequently order just rice when we want to have rice with a meal we cook at home - this is also convenient!
HUGE and satisfying. This place is delicious. But for two people, one dish is enough! We ordered two and had chinese for days. (granted, there are worse problems in life) but still, this place is great for sharing!
This is an institution for a lot of Bluff Park families. The food is great. I can't ever remember them making a mistake on an order. I feel like lady that runs the front knows me! Maybe the food is not totally authentic ( Americanized) but it taste awesome. If the rest of Bham knew about this place it would be covered up all the time. Shhhh
Excellent food in very large portions. Pepper steak with onions wad great! Very tender meat. Fried dumplings had a thick outside and all of the food was quick. Plenty of parking outside but very limited seating inside

Excellent food, friendly service & convenient for us BP folks. Great prices and you get MORE than enough food... 2-3 meals in 1! I LOVE the staff, the woman who is there all the time answering phones and collecting your money is super sweet, sometimes very busy, but will always remember you and what you order! Like I said, the best Chinese food around and friendly service. The past 4-5 years we have eaten there like 2-5 times a month and have NEVER had any issues (that's rare at a resteraunt). My husband has eaten every item on the menu and loves them all. I however favor the House Fried Rice no veggies, House Lo Mein, Moo Goo Gai pan or Lemon Chicken. Their Springrolls are awesome and their Hot & Sour Soup is just perfect!
My daughter loves the Sesame chicken & Chicken Dippers (Sweet & Sour Chicken) as well as the Poo Poo Platter. The Poo Poo has a funny name of course but its awesome if you want a little bit of everything. Can't go wrong with 10 Minute (what our family calls New China)!!!! :) Yummmmmmmmmyyyy!

By far the best Chinese food around. It's authentic and cooked to order. They may not speak great English but they sure can cook!!!
Simple and good. This is a little no-frills Chinese place with most of the standard favorites and a few interesting dishes you may not find in other restaurants. The service is very friendly and attentive. There was a steady flow of business the whole time I was there, reflecting the popularity with the locals.
I had the Mongolian Delight which is beef, shrimp and chicken prepared like Mongolian Beef with the green onions and noodles. It was a very large portion and very flavorful. The prices are very reasonable too. Great for carry out or a quick lunch or dinner to dine in.
Love New China!! Best Chinese place in town. The service is great and the prices are fantastic. For the amount of for that you get! Go there for lunch almost everday.

Best spot for Chinese. I have been to New China about 3 times in the past month and a half. I always get the sesame chicken, which tastes so good! The staff is always nice and the price is great for the amount of food that you get.

Just great Chinese food.. The other reviews saying "no frills" are very true, but if you want some awesome Chinese food then look no further. I've been eating at this place since it opened and it has always consistently been great. My go-to Chinese restaurant.
If you don't like NC you're crazy!!!. I LOVE THIS CHINESE FOOD! If I'm going to have chinese ever, I will drive across town just to get New China! I love the lady that works there! She is soooo sweet! And she always knows my order! I love it!
Great TakeOut. Been going to this location for over 10 years, always good and always the same expectations. Very worth it, times have changed and people get older, but there product is just as good as always and price as well.
Great Take Out. New China is a great place to get take out. I would not recommend eating inside, as it is small and a little dirty. We love to pick up mongolian beef and sesame chicken from here. Their hot and sour soup is also great. The portions are very large and very cheap!
I love this place.. I have been coming here since I was in elementary school. And if there's one thing to be said other than about the cheap, tasty, and generous food, it's the folks that run the place. I have never come in and not been greeted by the lady at the cash register. These people work hard and long hours. I'm not sure that they have a life outside of the restaurant, but it definitely shows. They are lovely people and I often think about doing something nice for them. Maybe one day I can afford some sort of small but grand gesture to them. They're awesome. This place is awesome. You should eat there.
GOOD PRICE, HUGE PORTIONS. For lunch, this place CANNOT BE BEAT. You can get a beef entree for $5.75, and the thing it comes in weighs about 2.5 lbs. Its a heaping helping of meat of your choice, Mongolian Beef for example, is amazing here. This comes with Fried rice, and Hot and Sour soup, and fried egg noodles, and (yes, more) a Giant Egg-Roll. Service is fast and Friendly, run by a local Mandarin-Chinese family. A must for any REAL fan of Chinese Food.
Dinner also has very large portions, and one entree order can easily feed 2 or even 3. Dishes come with White Rice, Fried Rice can be ordered with everything but the kitchen sink in it. Be ADVISED! This place does not scream "NEW AND SHINY". The owners keep the place very clean though, and have for over 10 years. Never had ANY issue ever with anything.
Great Food for an Amazing Price. My wife & I go here on occasion - order 1 dish and split it with enough for leftovers for the next day. The food is GREAT, and I can assure you that you won't be disappointed.
Eat For Days. Decent Chinese Take-Out (or eat in). It meets all the "must haves" for a decent chinese place: cooked on the spot, large portions, those white chinese take out boxes with the metal handles and very little english spoken by any employee.
We are eating for at least two days on a $23 meal. Its worth it if you are in the area.

No Frills Great Food. New China is what I grew up thinking a Chinese restaurant should be: cheesy paintings on the wall, people in the back talking to each other in Chinese, and great but reasonably priced food. The staff is always friendly and the service is always prompt.
This was my first time coming here after visiting the new Piggly Wiggly. I ordered the Mongolian delight and added mushrooms. I upscaled the rice to fried for a dollar more but could have been satisfied with the plain white rice. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes and it was. The Mongolian delight was good but the chicken was breaded and popcorn size. This wasn't what I was expecting and not my preference for my chicken. I will order the Surf and Turf next time or maybe request the chicken not to be breaded if that is even possible.
Can feed a whole family, and have extra for the next day. Very friendly place. Great customer service. Best place to grab something to eat for the whole family.
My favorite Chinese delivery. Super fast and efficient delivery through DoorDash. The food is always hot and quick. Absolutely love their hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, and spring rolls. Not a big fan of the general chicken, as it is not quite spicy enough, that’s the only negative thing I can say. Great quality and good portion sizes & tasty!
Great Hot and Sour soup. They give you TONS of rice with the chicken and rice. The chicken has to be searched for very hard and, even then, you only see a few pieces of chicken. I recommend the place. Update: the last order the brown rice was hard. The meat seemed old.

I ordered dinner on Christmas Day, along with a LOT of other people. The wait time wasn’t too bad considering that. The lady working the counter was AMAZING, she was giving her ALL trying to take and deliver orders at the counter, on the phone and through the meal delivery apps. Smiling through it all! When my order was ready she seemed genuinely happy for me (haha). Great job, we will be back!
Really good food the chicken lo mein is my favorite and you get a lot for the money!.. friendly staff, it's always clean, I highly recommend this place.
We ordered the evening special which looked very promising as we never ate Yorkshire Terrier before. The food was served quickly, all looked good until the Yorkshire Terrier got very aggressive and was jumping all over the table. It was difficult to eat it, not sitting still. Little disappointment, we left with a hungry belly Lovely carpet!
